I've been a patient here for years. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They always take the time to thoroughly answer questions and I never feel rushed. Clean, comfortable office. But my favorite thing about the practice is the resident dog, Frances. She always makes me smile.

Dr. Whelan is the most thorough eye doctor I’ve ever been to. She explains everything thoroughly and shows a vested interest in her patients. The staff at the office is helpful, efficient, and friendly.

I have been a patient since I moved here in the 1980’s and have always received excellent care; consequently I have continued to remain a patient despite the commute when I moved out of the community years ago! I've been a patient of Beacon Eye Care for over 10 years. Dr Whalen has always provided high quality, thorough care alongside her attentive, responsive staff.

I have been trusting my eye care to Beacon for many years- I lost count how many. I commute from NH. I am a Pro Photographer and my vision is my livelihood. From comprehensive annual exams with diagnostic equipment you probably never seen before to fulfillment of the best frame selection anywhere you can't go wrong. For me it's the latest progressive lenses and contacts that are "dialed" in for sport use and my vision has always the best it can be with Beacon's care. Even if you have to wait a few weeks to get in it is absolutely worth it. 10 star rating not an option- it should be for theses folks

Dr. Boutet is extremely knowledgeable in her field. She has been following some floater issues. Yesterday, she gave me a very thorough examination. She explained the pictures of my eyes in a way the I could understand. I highly recommend her and her staff.

This was mine and my husband's first visit with Beacon Eye Care. We were both extremely pleased with everyone there. Dr. Boutet is outstanding! The entire experience was great. Every step was explained thoroughly so there is absolutely no misunderstanding of anything. They treated us as though we were the only ones there. Fantastic experience. You will not leave there unless you are 100% satisfied.

Great experience. I have been getting my eyes checked (and frames purchased) at Associated Eye Care in Sanford for about 20 years.
I decided I wanted to try something different and Beacon's reviews were insane --in a good way.
The reviews were right. I highly recommend giving Beacons Eye Care a try if you have only gone to Associated.
And I love the dog they rescued and is now in residence.

I phoned to see if they would adjust glasses purchased elsewhere and was told yes (I would happily pay for the service). I made a special trip to have this done. After waiting the woman started bending the glasses and disparaging the quality (they are Warby Parker, so the quality is good) and said she would probably break them in adjusting and that they only guaranteed not breaking them if they were purchased from them. (I have had several pairs of Warby Parker over the years and have had them all adjusted without them breaking). She did not even sit down with me or have me put the glasses on to

For some reason, finding quality eye doctors in the Southern Maine area is a task. Having been to one eye doctor for about 7 years, I was hesitant to go somewhere new, but I am SO glad I did.

I ended up coming across Beacon Eye Care after my dad came here and sang their praises. I scheduled an appointment and from there, it was magic.

When I walked into Beacon Eye Care (which literally looks like a house), the woman at the front desk was incredibly nice and the place was pretty empty, which is also something I could appreciate.
