There are plenty of kind words to share about this business, but the people working here are hands-down the most professional, kind, and patient mechanics you could ever hope to have around! We brought our 2008 Tacoma and 2018 Mazda CX-5 to Jim's for regular maintenance and oil changes, and were hooked from the first visit. For a simple oil change, they provide a complete inspection report, including photos of what they found and any needed repairs. They always let you know the cost of service in advance, and tell you if repairs can be deferred and for how long. Today they contacted an authorized Mazda dealer to determine whether repairs would be covered under warranty, even though they could have done the work themselves and charged us abut $1,500 for it. This is what we call stellar

Jim’s was recommended to me by a couple friends, and they were right. In 19 years of car ownership I have never had an experience this good (and that’s saying something since my truck needed way more work than I thought). Josh called me to check in multiple times, explain the work in detail, and the online photo diagnostic link they send is amazing! When they had a cancellation, they worked on my truck and got it done 24 hours before the projected time, and for less than the original quote. Emotional support cat in the lobby and bonus bag of popcorn in my truck a definite plus. Can’t recommend

When all the other shops were unable to accommodate for weeks out, Dodge Motors in Glenwood Springs personally recommended Jim’s Automotive. They got us in right away and had a diagnosis back to us by the time they promised (almost unheard of in past experiences). Josh was our point of contact from start to finish. He is very knowledgeable and gives you all the options up front. Also, he gives you time to make a decision and doesn’t rush you as automotive work can be very expensive. Great, fast, friendly service and very reasonably priced. Our car broke down about 20 miles outside Glenwood Springs and Jim’s was able to get us in, diagnose then problem (broken fuel pump) and fix it in a matter of hours. We’re from Salt Lake and have had fuel pumps replaced in two other cars in the past several years and Jim’s pricing was spot on with the places we used in SL. Plus Jim’s used a part that apparently comes with a 2 year 24,000 mile nationwide warranty on the part and labor! So grateful we ended up at their shop! We broke down in Glenwood Canyon and got towed to Jim’s Automotive Service. We called to let them know we were on the way and they were able to fit us right in! They have been so kind, helpful, and fast to get us back on the road! The waiting area is quaint and clean, very comfortable to wait in! 10/10 would recommend every single time!😁😁

I couldn't have asked for better service. My car started making such bad noises after a drive out from Denver that I was scared to drive home without getting it checked. Jim's already had a busy day, but called me back when they had someone cancel. They squeezed in my diagnostic, found the problem, and made the calls and did the work to get the repair covered under warranty. They couldn't have been nicer of more helpful!

Had an important appointment scheduled today for 1 o'clock. Ended up asking for my keys back and leaving before they could even get my Car in the shop at two... an hour after my appointment was scheduled. They didn't even tell me they were running behind until I came by and saw my car just sitting there an hour later. Wasted my time walking around with my dog trying to find things to do while my car sat there in the hot sun. Thumbs down!!!

First I have been associated with the automotive repair/parts industry for over 17 years and understand how the system works...so with that said here is my review: Overall great service, very friendly and helpful staff. I would highly recommend them. They took their time to diagnose my car, get back to me with options, and was very patient with me as I had to make an expense decision. I can't thanks these guys enough for getting me in right away when I had an issue with my Jeep while driving through on the way to Ouray. I had to have it towed because it was un-driveable and these guys fixed it the same day and had me on my way quick enough that I was able to salvage my weekend vacation. I took my car to the Ford dealership for an oil change and learned I needed new front brakes. They gave me a dull estimate that only included brakes. Wanting a second opinion, I brought my car to Jim’s automotive and then did a thorough examination and gave me a detailed estimate. I’m glad I went to Jim because had I not, the ford dealership would… have just done the bare minimum and I would of had to return later to fix all of the problem. My family and I were staying in Glenwood Springs for vacation. We were on our way to Aspen when all of the sudden our battery died in the middle of our drive. Almost all of the stores in the area were closed at this hour. We saw the lights on at Jim's Automotive and even though it was after hours they immediately offered to help. They could not have been more professional and nice. The customer service was amazing and they went above and beyond to make sure they were able to find the part (alternator), squeeze us in the schedule and get us back on the road. There is no doubt I would recommend

This place was great.. Very friendly staff, knowledgeable, and gave a fair assessment for the service that needed, before any work was done. Everything was checked with me first, and I even did some shopping around and no one could beat their price. Plus being part of the Napa brand they guarantee their work for up to 2 years. Even after a small issue i experienced they went out of their way to make it right. I will definitely be back,.

The mechanic found an electrical problem. Need we say more? Our camper started cutting out on us in the middle of construction and thankfully Jim's automotive took us quite quickly. After diagnosing our check engine light he found four wires where the insulation had been worn off. Very friendly and caring. Definitely an A plus. Thanks Mark and Denise

This people are the best! Ive had bad experiences with Kracl in Glenwood multiple times. (Being over charges, poor diagnostics, weak repairs, and just unwelcoming costumer service.) Jimmys has been the absolute opposite experience! Leah at the front desk is great at her job. (Very friendly and works well with your schedual.) I love that they give you a heads up on upcoming repairs and give you estimates after they do a job for you. They work fast and help you to understand fully what is being done to your car. I love this place!
