My experience with David smith was not a very good one. During my case settlement I received way less money than expected. As a matter of fact Mr. Smith almost received the same amount of money as me and I'm the one injured for life. As soon as my case settled Dave stopped returning my phone calls and emails, for months there was no response on anything. I'm surprised to see the negative reviews for Dave. I was in a motorcycle accident and was unable to walk. Dave came to my home interviewed me in bed, and got the police report for me. He also went to the site of my accident and took pictures. He also is well known in the industry. Every lawyer on the opposing side he had experience with. After about three months of this person looking at my case he all of the sudden dropped my case for no good reason. With about two months BEFORE case management I was left with a stack of paperwork and no idea where to go from there.
He seems like a nice guy, but don't ever expect to talk to him after the initial consult. You will be ONLY talking to his secretary.
If I could have done it again, I definitely would have said, "Thanks, but no thanks!"

I had initially wanted to hire this lawyer. I was in an auto accident, and wanted some assistance. Initially, he sounded very helpful, and got the accident report, and even wanted me to come in to talk about proceeding. I had already asked him who I should see to get help. He told me to go to my doctor and said he couldn't offer me more advice than that.
So after getting the accident report and reviewing it (took almost two weeks to get it), and after visiting my doctor, I asked

Do not trust this lawyer! He seemed empathic and up-front initially and told me not to worry and focus on recovering etc, but his true colors came out once he actually starts to work on your case. He will try to get away with doing as little as possible in actually helping you (especially if your case doesn't have a huge settlement amount he can benefit from)....I ended up feeling like I had to get a lawyer to deal with him & how he handled my case.
