Services
Westlake Christian Academy is a Preschool-12th grade independent Christian school that offers students a radically different definition of the good life. Pointed to their identity in Christ and reminded that they were created by God, for his purposes, and to bring him glory. Westlake Christian Academy partners with parents to help their children grow academically, spiritually, physically, and socially.
The Waukegan Christian School was founded and incorporated as a non profit educational organization in the spring of 1972 by a group of Christian parents. Their chief desire was to honor the Lord by providing a quality, Christ centered education for their children as an alternative to the public educational system.
We are indebted to Dr. Wayne Grudem for sharing six compelling reasons why parents should consider a Christian education for their children. In the following presentation, Westlake uses those six statements to support a case for Christian schooling. When children experience dissonance between what they are taught in the home and church as opposed to what their school teaches, one of the outcomes will be anger and resentment.
Westlake has never been attached to a single church ministry but sees itself as a critical partner in the evangelical community, serving a wide variety of churches. The school actively seeks to partner with families and churches who share in the desire to disciple believers in Jesus Christ. Understanding that parents are responsible to rear their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and being mindful of God's will that children be taught the content and practical applications of His Word in every aspect of learning and every activity of life () and firmly believing that Christian education is a vital instrument for the fulfillment of the Divine command, the undersigned herewith establish the Westlake Christian Academy and adopt this constitution for its organization and operation.

My daughter attended Westlake for K and 1st grade. We decided to homeschool her for the next couple years so that we can travel more often.
While we love the freedom to homeschool and all the great things that come with it, we truly miss Westlake. We miss the families there and the teachers.
Westlake is not just a place of education but it is a family.
We call each other by first names (teachers & parents) because you grow so close to everyone. The events they hold fill the kids with joy, and the love the teachers have for the children, makes everyday a pleasure.
If and when we decide to go

Great staff, great school, great vision for helping young students be disciples of Christ. There will always be critics, particularly from those who end up not sharing the same spiritual or educational priorities, but if you are at all interested in Christian education for your kids , you owe it to yourself to take a tour and ask what makes Westlake unique!
