Dr. Stephanie Phillis and Dr. Hugh Phillis are delighted to provide individualized orthodontic care to the Chelmsford community. To me, practicing orthodontics means being able to provide my patients with healthy, beautiful smiles they will confidently carry throughout life. I grew up around orthodontics: my dad and sister are both orthodontists!
My passion for orthodontics is because of the role I get to play in helping provide my patients with beautiful, healthy smiles! I am originally from Ohio and came to Nashua after completing my dental and orthodontic training at Tufts School of Dental Medicine. My wife Mary is a native New Englander who grew up in Rhode Island, so settling here in Nashua was an easy way to stay in touch with her family.

An orthodontist is a dentist who has not only completed a graduate program in dentistry to receive their DDS or DMD (Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine), but has also gone through a competitive residency at a CODA-accredited orthodontic program for an additional 2-3 years to be trained specifically in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.

Highly recommend Phillis Orthodontics! My son recently began seeing Dr Phillis and was initially anxious about having braces put on. She and her staff could not have made him feel more comfortable! The whole process has been very positive, and he was always empowered to ask any and all questions that he had. The office is extremely clean and Covid protocol is closely followed which makes my husband and I feel safe bringing our son there. Everyone in the office is kind, happy, upbeat & knowledgeable. Just a great practice overall!

My son was so hesitant and nervous to get braces when he first found out he needed to get them. We went to a few different orthodontists but nothing felt quite right. When we went to Phillis Orthodontics he left feeling hopeful and much less nervous. The process was so much easier than expected. The whole office is understanding and patient when it came to dealing with him and honestly with me. My son actually doesn’t mind going anymore because they made him feel so comfortable. I dreaded this venture but they have made it painless. Highly recommend—you don’t regret it!

Dr Phillis and staff are fantastic. We have been very pleased with my sons treatment. Dr Phillis is very kind and knowledgeable, her main goal is to treat the whole patient not just the mouth. They have very good communication from the Dr to the assistant to the front desk all are very pleasant to interact with and they all care about their patients. When she merged her practice with Dr. Briss we knew she had to be a good doctor to merit his partnership, and she has totally lived up to that expectation. Friendly and engaging staff! Dr. Phillis makes sure you leave your appointment with a smile. She always has a fun contest going for the kids. Each appointment is filled with information to set you up for success. We are thankful for the time that went into each visit. Very happy with our sons new smile. Office is great for all ages!

I highly recommend Phillis Orthodontics. My son has a complicated situation with many missing teeth. We had consultations with multiple orthodontists before we finally decided to go with Phillis Orthodontics. I am more than happy with the choice we made!

Dr. Phillis and her staff are top notch. Every time my 11 year old son leaves her office he always comments on how nice she is. Dr. Phillis also helped us in an emergency situation with my son, took charge of the situation and was there for us every step of the way. She will make you feel like you are her only patient. Highly recommend.

Great consult. Everything ran on time and was safe during covid. Staff is super friendly. Office is beautiful and clean. It felt like we were walking into a spa. But best of all, Dr Phillis took her time in explaining things and she was great with my 10 yo daughter. I would definitely recommend this office.

Just...wow!
My daughters appliance broke at school today. Monday, of course. The one day they are closed!
I called the emergency line and Dr. Briss answered right away. He informed me that he was in Boston all day and myself being in Boston as well, I figured she'd have to deal until the morning.
Nope!
He told me to bring her by the office at 8pm and that he would see her when he got back into town. By the time I made it home to pick her up, most of the appliance had fallen out. I brought her over at 10 minutes to 8pm and he was there waiting. Knowing he had a long day, too...I was so impressed
