After many years teaching how to dance, our experience shows us that taking private lessons is by far the best way for you to learn as a single person or as a couple. It is a proven fact that for some people learning in a group class setting is not always the ideal option.

I have been taking Tango classes with Jesica and Gustavo since 2019. I was new to Tango at the time and wanted to learn good technique from the ground up.
Gustavo and Jesica are amazing instructors that build you step by step into a good dancer. If you are just starting or want to improve your technique this is the place to go. Can't wait to take the new Vals class they just added to the class schedule.

We went for a salsa night, a class followed by a dance party. The vibe was chill and local, quite a contrast to the buzzy San Mateo downtown just one block away.
I had a most happy and memorable night here, compared to past experiences at Palo Alto swing dance classes, which always have over a hundreds of ppl. There was plenty of room to dance without having to worry about bumping into other dancers. And there were cushioned seats with tables for you rest and have a drink at every corner right in the hall!
The staff and instructors were super nice. And the instructor also did DJ for the party

Excellent place to learn Tango. Gustavo and Jessica are very good teachers and dancers. They are simply some of the best around! The community is also great! Just know that you have to spend the time around this complicated dance to really learn it. It helps to be a bit analytical and sensitive.

Jesica Hornos's Ladies Tango Workshop is special and extraordinary. Jesica takes women through all the steps of how a women's body moves in different steps of Argentine Tango. I've had two classes here now and I LOVE this studio!! Really great space and fantastic staff. The instructors are very patient, knowledgable, and passionate about their work. It's a pleasure learning with them and I look forward to coming in every time! The only problem with the group classes is when there are 20 girls and you have to take turns leading, which is surprisingly very difficult, but it's all a part of the learning experience. The energy in here definitely makes me more excited about learning the Argentine Tango and coming back for more!

Motion Arts Center is a brand new studio, where Jessica and Gustavo Hornos teach Argentine tango. Born and raised in Argentina, Jessica and Gustavo were the 2011 US National Tango Champions. Not only are they beautiful dancers but they are warm and friendly people and extremely generous teachers. They offer beginning, intermediate and advanced classes as well as private lessons. I have taken classes with many tango teachers over the past twenty years and Jessica and Gustavo are truly special. They combine profound knowledge with a passion for teaching. Taking classes with them is an absolute pleasure
