At Grand Family Eye Care, we truly believe vision is more than just seeing 20/20. Understanding how your vision got to where it is, assessing your current ocular health, and determining where your vision will be in the future.
Services
Our doctor's story starts in the late 70's and early 80's when his parents, and their families, came to Houston to escape war torn Vietnam and provide an opportunity to safely grow and develop. He was born in north Houston, grew up in Spring, TX, went to college at the University of Houston, and now currently resides in Pasadena, TX.
We are a general doctor's office for all your eye needs. Our specialty is making sure you see the best that you could possible see and making sure your ocular health is the best that it could be. That is why we believe that vision is more than just seeing 20/20. There will be times where we will come across a condition that is too advanced for our office to treat but don't worry!
We can be that clinic for your child! Our pediatric eye care starts at 1 year old and we see all kids, toddlers to teenagers. If your child is nervous about doctor's visits, don't worry! We will work at their pace and hopefully calm their nerves down. If you have children who can be a handful, don't worry!
Great vision care is more than just finding if you can see 20/20 with a pair of glasses or contacts. At out office, we provide comprehensive dilated eye examinations to monitor many eye diseases. There is a saying that "The eyes are a window to the soul." While that hasn't been proven, the eyes are definitely a window to the body.
Doctor's offices, in general, do not publish their prices anywhere (online or even in their offices). Sometimes this makes going to get an exam, of any kind, nerve wrecking because you will not know your total until the very end. We believe in transparent pricing so there isn't going to be any confusion, especially for those on a tight budget.

I was on vacation for the weekend visiting a friend down on Tiki Island and made the mistake of not bringing extra contacts, not my glasses. I woke up Saturday morning missing the contact in my left eye and had to make an immediate appointment. Most places were closed on Saturday, my eye doctor was located hours away and closed and I was miserable. I called Grand Family at 11:40 am, they'd just had a late cancellation and were able to book me at noon. Dr. Nguyen was so sweet and his assistant was very helpful! Its a small office located on the side of a Sams, so it was a little tricky to find

Very professional staff and Doctor.Took my son to have a eye Exam.And it wasn't a long wait and he explained everything to me about my son.Its hard to find a good eye doctor that takes the time to tell you every little detail. He really cares about his patients and is very honest man. Thank you so much and you will be seeing me again with my other son and myself.

Had a great visit today for my teenager. It was quick & I really appreciated the fact there was no wait time to be seen. The Dr. was very friendly, shared great information & explained everything thoroughly. I felt absolutely safe being there with my child considering all the Covid19 guidelines. I drove a little bit from out of the area, but it was definitely worth it!

I was at this eye clinic last week and I was glad I did go. Dr. Nguyen gave me a thorough eye exam, the secretary was very friendly and sweet, took care of my insurance in a jiffy. Dr. Nguyen (generation X or millennial) young but probably filled with new tech and ideas, didn't waste any time. Took care of business and voila was out of his office satisfied! I would recommend him to any one looking for a new eye doctor.

Really great and friendly service. Everyone was helpful and I didn't feel like I was being pushed out the door. The optometrist took a lot of time to talk to me about my eye Care and vision problems and the receptionist was incredibly helpful with my insurance. Will be returning for all my vision needs.
