AutoCheck 9 is a locally family owned and AAA approved auto repair shop that has been servicing the greater Houston area since 1999. Our Staff is comprised of ASE certified master technicians that are highly trained and who are capable of repairing all makes and models both foreign and domestic. Extended training is provided regularly to improve and advance their skills.

A broken timing belt is probably the most detrimental failure one could experience since the result can be catastrophic to the engine.
Oil FilterCar manufacturers often suggest changing oil filters with every oil change, which should occur every 3k/5k miles or every three months. Cabin FiltersChanging your Cabin air filters vary by manufacture, some say every 12,000 or 15,000 miles, others longer, and how often can depend on how much you drive and where.

This is my second time tryin to give this place a chance ...the first time I had a appointment with them and I went up there BEFORE my appointment time so I could be on time and Steve told me they was running behind schedule to come back ..so I came back and Steve told me once again to come back later at that point I just set a appointment somewhere else ... my SECOND attempt Carmax set me appointment with them once again I was there before they open up I get there n here come Steve sayin we don't have any workers at this point when are u guys goin to be professional and call and send out

Brought my vehicle to the 1960 location near 45N to be diagnosed for fuel cap light being on. Harvey recommended that a smoke test be done to determine where the leak was coming from even though I suggested where to start. Reluctantly, I went with what they recommended. After the smoke test was "completed" it was found that I had a bad purge valve solenoid and a bad fuel cap. Both of which had already been replaced by a previous company. I made them aware of that but was told that they were bad anyway. After they replaced the parts I drove it considerably to see if the light would come

My family has had many services done here in the past but this last experience was truly disappointing. I took my car in for a diagnosis which led to the replacement of throttle body & spark plugs. After repairs, I noticed the issue continued so I called to report it since they "guarantee" their work. The issue got progressively worse so I took it in again. They re-ran the diagnosis only to charge me another $130 for the diagnosis because it was a "new issue" but the same symptoms. What a load of crap! They have repaired my 2004 mustang three times now. Last summer it was my air conditioning. Last week my intake manifold gaskets, and then a day later my fuel pump went out. They originally thought my head gaskets were blown, but during tear down they noticed it was the intake manifold gaskets. Saved me a lot of money, because both of these was less than what the head gaskets would have been. These guys are great! Try them out if you’re in the area. Very honest, and save you money if they can.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. My wife's Kia Sorrento AC lines needed to be replaced, they replaced it for a reasonable price. They also let me know what was wrong with the vehicle and would eventually need to be replaced (accurate). I was on my way to work one day and my truck stopped running. I was able to make it to the parking lot before they opened. Waited for an hour and they saw me right away as soon as they opened. They diagnosed the problem and had me out the door in an hour and a half. Well today, my wife's car didn't want to start. So

Husband called this morning inquiring about an inspection for my vehicle as well as his. He was told by someone at this location to come in after 1:30 because the guy who does this work was at lunch. So, we arrived around 1:45 to be told that no they didn't have time today for either inspections because their guy is working on something all day. I expressed my dissatisfaction with this stating my husband had called ahead of time. They said sorry. This is not acceptable.
We're happy now because we found a great place further down the street!! Taking our business elsewhere.

So I must preface this with I did not use their service. The reason follows- I needed to get my a/c checked last minute and booked an appointment online for 8:00 the next morning (Saturday). I arrived at 7:47 and went in. The man behind the desk said they didn't open until 8 so I asked to sit and wait, I was told the owner did not allow that and was asked to wait outside. I went to my car and left. My feeling is that if this was the level of customer service I could expect I would just take my business elsewhere. Just my opinion.

I am new to Texas and needed a mechanic to fix a radiator problem. Looked on yelp for a good shop with great reviews and came across Auto Check. Gave them a call and was able to take my car right in. Being in the customer service industry for so long, good customer service is very important to me. This shop does not disappoint! Truly GREAT customer service. Did my repairs quickly and did not make me feel pressured to do more. Will definitely be back. It feels great to have found a shop I can come to regularly. I originally took my 2013 Hyundai Accent over to this location when Harvey came through and had some flooding into the car. Steve and the crew worked hard to get the car working and helped answer any questions that I had. They also went through and made sure to work with my insurance for any issues that may have popped up and needed additional funds.

Autocheck is a complete scam of a "repair shop". I had my brakes "fixed" here and they did it improperly and my caliper fell off. When I called them they said to bring it to a shop and have it looked at and they would take care of it. The shop which I brought it to said it was done incorrectly and fixed it. Autocheck refuses to reimburse the costs of the repairs and says they will not warranty the repair, even though their own paper says they have a "36,000 mile/3 year warranty".

Five star service both times I've been. The decrease in one star is for one of the guys is a little put offish because you can sit or stand there for a while and have to walk up to him to start your conversation about what you need. The other guys are very friendly and don't mind explaining things. Other than that, this place is great. I would definitely recommend this place.

My girlfriend and I took our 2008 Mazda to be repaired at auto check. We needed a new water pump and also a thermostat. We had been quoted $600 at another mechanic but happened to find this place close to our job.
When we went in to get a quote, it was almost $150 less than what the other mechanic had quoted us. They took our car in at 7:30am right after opening. Dropped my girlfriend off at home so she wouldn't have to Uber and had our car fixed and ready to go in less than 4 hours! This place is a must go. I will be taking all of my vehicles here.

We took our Dodge Ram 1500 here because the AC was not working and the truck was making a loud noise. We were told the AC fan needed to be replaced, three pulleys and a belt. The total cost was going to be just under $1200. We decided to get a second opinion and so glad we did. We had a mobile repair company company come to our house and look at our truck. They replaced the AC fan and one pulley. The belt and two other pulleys were not needed. We ended up saving almost $800. Now $200 of that savings ended up having to do with them modifying the AC fan so they didn't have to discharge the air

So far so good. I found this place close to my work and stopped in based on their excellent Yelp rating and they had a coupon running.
As I walked in I was greeted immediately. Questions answered, price given for a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation, and I could use the coupon. I'm sold!
Very clean waiting area with coffee, water and free wifi. Good decor too, lots to look at. The service has been pretty quick so far, brought my car in after 5 minutes. I was asked to get my wheel lock and as I walked through the shop floor it was very clean. The mechanic I spoke to was very courteous

I chose this place for convenience to work for simple oil change and inspection service. Now my Mercedes e class and Chevy Silverado go there because it's the only garage I will consider. We travel from the woodlands to see these guys without hesitation.
And isn't just one person there who is super friendly, it is the culture of the business model and it shows 100% of every visit, all areas, front to back.
OF COURSE they beat MB dealer on mileage service, but they beat everyone in the field with honest, genuine customer car care.

Great experience at Auto Check. Found on Yelp due to good reviews. Took our Ford Flex in with some brake issues and noises that several other mechanic places could not find or figure out what the problem was. One auto place told us we needed a new engine. Right?!

If you're new to the city and looking for a place that does vehicle inspections I highly recommend this place. Fast and awesome customer service. The guys here are very friendly and helpful. Even gave me the address to the nearest courthouse to complete my vehicle registration.
