My Mechanic

My car has reached 2 decades of life due to the quality care that My Mechanic gives it. Oil and filter change every 3,000 miles. When I was involved in a 3 car accident, I immediately asked their opinion and help with repairs. They always lower my blood pressure because of their caring attitude and knowledge of my vehicle and address the problem in a caring manner with prices that are always fair and affordable. They also can arrange a rental car with much lower prices than the dealer would charge me. Macon and Peter have also helped friends of mine that I have recommended with positive reviews

It's probably the complexity of vehicles or the challenges of communicating effectively but I found it impossible to get a straight answer regarding scheduling, prices or labor rates.
A simple ball park guess at cost would be ok. There's no legal requirement to charge only what is GUESSED at during a phone call but probably snowflakes that expect cheap work done with instant gratification have probably created a fear of saying anything about anything for fear of sniveling butthurt from the entitled.

Left my car late at night for it to be worked on early morning, thanks to the feature of securely dropping your key (envelopes provided at external door) through their mail slot. Prompt and honest service. Spoke with the team member, who explained what the issue was (bad positive terminal connector), what it would cost and the labor involved with it. When I went in to pick up the car, they provided additional details on what the job entailed and helped answer other questions I had about my car. Exceptional service with a warm welcoming attitude from all staff members.

Always excellent service. I picked this originally due to location, but I've kept coming back even after I moved a little further away. Love that they have online scheduling, too.

My Mechanic on Holcombe has been repairing my family's vehicles since 2009, and I'm impressed that they still have the same personnel since 2009, so at this point we know them and they know us. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Came in for a weird noise coming from my AC system and after making a diagnosis, they gave a very fair and transparent explanation of different solutions and their costs, along with what seemed to me an unbiased recommendation.

Been going here awhile now and these guys always take the best care of our cars. This is my second Cadillac and because of these guys I've gotten a lot of mileage from the first, and hope the same for the the second. My wife's car is even in their care, she had a hard time trusting in the beginning and feeling like she was taken advantage of until these guys reassured her and explained why and how...etc.

Terrible place, save your money. I took my Mercedes they replaced the battery and they test drove it they cracked my windshield and the manager Mecum Phillips would not own up to it. So a simple repair ended up costing several hundred more to have my windshield replaced somewhere else. Again this establishment is a Terrible place to go. Save your money!

We visited it a while ago. The main purpose our visit there was about an inspection for a used SUV (we later bought a new one). When we stayed there, we happened to ask them about fixing a small problem on our 10-year old car (Honda Accord). The "mechanism" holding the trunk of our Honda stopped working and apparently a metal "stick" holding it broke. The tech showed me the broken piece (a metal "stick" about couple of inches long) and we agreed to get a new one installed. They said that they had to order it from Honda. However, about 20 mins later, they said that

While I've been by for all my state inspections, My Mechanic saved my little booty yesterday with a quick and easy battery replacement for my car-- whew!

I called less than an hour before they closed, and I appreciated how they checked both their electronic record for the right battery for my make and model as well as making sure they had it physically in their hands before I drove in. Smooth in and out in less than half an hour, and the total cost was around $170.

Super nice, and I'd come back again! Bonus perk? Walk next door for some yummy noms at Tamashi or Hu's! :D

The most honest guys I’ve ever dealt with as far as cars go. They had every chance to up charge me (I know nothing about cars) but didn’t and that’s worth noting. My girlfriend had a similar experience as well when she went in on her own. Customer for life!

Very honest, told me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle, and that the most expensive part to replace was not necessary, as it was still in serviceable condition. Very reasonably priced, and I was thrilled with getting my car in and out during the appointment I'd scheduled. Will definitely be going back for the foreseeable future, even if I have to drive an hour to get there.

Came on a weekday morning to get my car inspected. As a recent Houston transplant and newb to Texas car inspections, I didn't realize that I should have made an appointment online first, but My Mechanic squeezed me in so that I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Service was very friendly and smooth. Would definitely come back for my next inspection!

This is an excellent mechanic. They are very trustworthy and honest. They have helped me with both minor and major issues.

I brought my car in because the coolant level was low and they quickly looked at it and topped it off for free. Very nice!

Great experience. Scheduled the first morning appointment for an oil change and state inspection- they were prompt, quick, and wonderful to work with. Changed the battery on my key fob for free. Will definitely be back and will recommend to others I know who live and work around the med center!

Great customer service and efficient work time to complete the job. There have been several times I've been to other repair shops and have left feeling as if I was being upcharged or not given the full explanation of the services I needed, but not here! I was pleasantly pleased and satisfied with my experience and would definitely recommend and come here again!

Wow! Wish I would have found MyMechanic years ago. The manager (maybe owner) was the one who helped us. He explained the upfront charge (which was minimal) and had a diagnostic in about twenty minutes. Left the. Car overnight bc he needed a part and we came near closing and it was ready by 11 am next morning.

Love that he explained the problem in detail and what steps they were taking to fix it. Very respectable guy.

I don't know a ton about cars, I read my manual and get confused. I literally dread my oil change light coming in because it can be so costly needing a full synthetic oil change. Peter (sorry if this is wrong) went above and beyond to call around and get me a filter that would lower the cost of my oil change. I don't think I've ever received better service in my life, in any industry. That effort to make my life a little easier meant so much to me. As long as I'm in the inner loop, this will be my go to place from that interaction alone. I know I'll be taken care of and

Came here for a Saturday morning oil change - I even made an appointment using their handy online portal, just in case they were busy.

The change itself was decently fast, not as fast as my normal go-to where it's more like "wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am, 5 minutes and you're out" but was only there for maybe 20-25 minutes. I whiled away the time in their clean, comfy, A/C'd waiting room watching Harry Potter (they picked up some bonus points for having this on).

One very minor complaint: They didn't reset my "maintenance required" light in my car! This
