Awesome! But make sure to order your drink ASAP
Husband and I came out to Pate's for a night out this Saturday, and we had a blast. We sat in the room with the fireplace, and our server was wonderful. The food was amazing, as always. Drinks did take much longer than expected, and were almost completely different when we reordered the same drink. The food is worth the price, and would be worth the wait if there was one. I love the White Cosmo but the drinks are far too expensive to take that long, and vary in quality that much. It wasnt even that busy

Wine is the way!
We stopped in back in September, one of the best meals we have had in a while. We had Amy as our server, and she was so helpful with the menu! She said the cocktails do tend to take a while, and recommended ordering wine instead. She had some great recommendations for my steak, and my wifes swordfish. Both spectacular. Thank you.

Its just a martini
Next time i come in i am going to sit at the bar. It looks beautiful. But i want to see how the drinks are made. Ive never had a martini be wrong each time i ordered it. The mistake wasnt even consistent, it was wrong in a different way each time. Does the bartender know what dirty or dry mean? Ive never reordered the same martini and them be so different, and just bad. I thought it was just me, but my wife tried them and agreed. Still love the food, and you really cant go wrong with the berry infusion.

We ate here the other night! Its gorgeous! Our dinner was perfect. The bar hidden in the back is beautiful, and your bartender Jaimie is an absolute character! We weren't sure what was wrong with one of the other bartenders that was back there, she was just rude and seemed miserable. It was only so noticeable because Jaimie is like a show, then this young woman scowls and is short with us. She had an accent, so maybe English just isn't her first language? Either way, talk to your customers! At least try to be personable! Youre a bartender and that bar is so beautiful, why look so miserable!

I love Pate's! Im not surprised its always packed. The bar fills up so quick! I love that you guys have that standing rail to wait at! Being able to grab a bar table is great too when you cant get a bar seat or a table in the dining room.
We were lucky enough to get a bar table the other night and Joey was so quick to come help us out! Shes so bubbly! She made us some cosmos and they were great!

Did the drinks change?
Came back down to the Cape to visit family for the holiday. Had to stop at Pate's at least once for a bite to eat. The food is as good as remembered! My Ruby Kiss wasn't quite what i remembered, tasted like a completely different drink? My espresso martini was like all baileys too, i guess it's good i ordered it for desert! The server i had was really nice, so i didn't want to bother her by complaining. Maybe i should have taken her advice to stick to wine!

Had a fantastic meal. The service was incredible. We were a large event of about 40 people but the staff was very courteous and quick in serving drinks as well. I had the seafood over fettuccine which was so large I could hardly finish it and it was delicious . My wife had the sea bass and she said it was absolutely delicious with the bok choy and mashed potatoes.

We hosted a dinner for 30 people and could have not been happier.
Anthony, Tamara, Patti and staff were wonderful. The food was amazing, every course was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Everyone was raving about the entire experience.
We visit the Cape once or twice a year and will definitely come back to Pates.

Overall we had good time. Samantha our waitress was great and engaging! Food was delicious but.....the Wedge salad did not have crispy onions at all.....possibly made ahead of time? Drinks were on point and delicious! Its a bit noisy. Dessert we split their Banana, toasted coconut, real whip cream and caramel in a huge jar, it was a Wow!!. Coffee was hot and delicious!

Absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was beautiful and newly redone. Our waitress was friendly and gave us awesome suggestions. We ordered the strawberry burrata salad, the wedge salad, and the white bolognese. All meals were absolutely delicious especially the white bolognese. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauce was mouth watering. We will absolutely be back!

We had such a great dinner here while on vacation in Chatham! The restaurant is apparently recently under new management. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is really nicely decorated! It has a cool, modern feel.

We took a stab at Pates for our 40th anniversary dinner with our two girls. We had no idea what we would experience, but they were the only place in Chatham that had open reservation slots. As we entered at 8:30pm, the place was well appointed, packed, and a bit loud, all signs of a good popular restaurant. Service was a bit slow at first as we ordered drinks which were very tasty and properly poured. Apps were amazing, lobster corn chowder, fried broccoli, artichoke hearts and kale ceaser salad! Came here with my wife and two small kids during July 4th weekend. One of the rare white tablecloth fine dining restaurants that has an extensive kids menu. Yes, it's pricey, but it's fine dining in Chatham. The food was amazing. We got the seared tuna, penne, kids pasta and chicken fingers. The seared tuna in particular was perfect. Atmosphere is nice and not pretentious such that kids were out of place.

First time to eat at Pates since new ownership. Take out only bc Pates is remodeling so, the chef offered a limited Italian menu . We ordered the linguine and clam and the chicken parm.
The clams were like rubber bands. There were 6 shelled clams over a white broth with canned clams! Canned anything in restaurants is totally unacceptable. $ 25 down the drain. Villa Roma in Harwich is 100 times better!
My husband said his chicken parm was good ( not as good as Villa Roma in Harwich).
Glad we tried the new Pates however we, won't be going back.

I was so impressed with Pate's, we just moved into the area from Malibu, CA. I had the best steak I've eaten in years. Perfectly cooked, medium rare with delicious fluffy mashed potatoes and delicately flavored spinach. Better, dare I say it, than Maestros's in California! (Also the plates were perfectly warm, my pet peeve is cold plates or worse, so hot the steak overcooks.)
My mother had the swordfish, she said it was the best she has ever eaten (and I can promise, she has eaten a lot of swordfish ;)

Was staying in the area for Halloween and asked our innkeeper for recommendations for dinner. She suggested Pate’s and we were not disappointed. The restaurant had a beautiful décor and ambiance. The front-end staff and our waitress were very relaxed and friendly. There were many seafood dishes to choose from and so
many delicious specials. We ordered the Roasted Chilean Sea Bass which was on the part of the night’s specials menu and the Fisherman’s Pan Roast. Both were delicious but the Sea Bass was very salty. I absolutely loved their Pate’s Punch Cocktail! What a refreshing treat!

Disappointed doesn't even start to express it. Prime rib was undercooked, very fatty, and tasteless. The horseradish sauce tasted like mayo with a faint Taste of horseradish. So if you like mayo you'll like that. Mashed potatoes were also tasteless

I am so loathe to give a bad review during COVID, especially because the staff here were ANGELIC, but if you like seasoned food or don't plan on only eating seafood, please eat somewhere else. The food and drinks were just straight up bad, with the vegetarian food taking the cake for truly some of the most mediocre i've had.

The new owner of Pate's is doing such a fantastic job that I ate there twice within one week. Each time I ordered something different as did everyone in my party and everything was fantastic. While the old Pate's had a great run and has a special place in many locals' hearts, the new owner is doing a wonderful job transitioning into a more modern menu and atmosphere while still maintaining the tradition of a killer steak! Both waitresses I had were attentive, friendly, and helpful. Covid protocol is being followed and they even implemented some innovative ideas like little bags on

We were worried based on the mixed reviews but we had an incredible dinner!! We have eaten out every weekend of the summer and this was the best so far! I had a lemon meringue martini with graham cracker rim which was not on menu but delicious! The sliced medium rare sirloin and lobster ravioli with truffle cream sauce was to die for. Scallops and surf and turf for dinner and a peach cobbler with ginger ice cream for dessert. The inside has been nicely updated.
