When young children come to New Beginnings they don't always have the words to tell their therapist how they feel. The therapist will work with the child, the parents, siblings, and others. It is important for children to feel safe and comfortable. This is why art, toys, puppets and more are part of the play therapy room at New Beginnings Counseling Center.

I would encourage anyone to give the services offered from the New Beginnings Center a try! I am really glad that I was open-minded enough to give the New Beginnings IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) a try, although I was very skeptical and resistant at first. In hindsight, now I realize that the resistance came from a place of fear and shame. I was in a very dark place and I did not believe I could make it out. I had a very limited range of resilience, and I was fluctuating between extreme states of depression and anxiety. I was really terrified of going inward to do the work and facing my demons
