Goose & Gander
At Goose & Gander, Executive Chef Nic Jones creates amazing rustic American food and mouthwatering bar bites all served in our pub-like dining room, cherished basement bar or lush garden. Our farm in downtown Napa provides most of the produce for our seasonally-driven menu, which complements Scott Beattie's retro-fresh libations or a bottle of wine from our unique and award-winning wine list.

Goose & Gander is a wine country public house- a gathering place for locals and visitors to celebrate Napa Valley's abundant bounty! Our Sticky Pig Ears are so crispy, sweet, and delicious, bet you can't eat just one?.
Services
Master Gardener Shelley Kusch, and her team at Garden Junkie, manage our two acre farm located in downtown Napa across the street from the Culinary Institute. We are so fortunate to have Shelley provide our kitchen, as well as our bar, with the freshest produce on a daily basis. It is an embarrassment of riches.

I love this place and the people are so nice! The g&g burger with the duck egg is really good. I'm not a huge cheesecake fan but the cheesecake is delicious def recommended :) I was hesitant on trying the pig ears but they aren't bad.. I recommend ! Cant wait to go again

Excellent food, great service, amazing hospitality. We went here to celebrate my husbands birthday. They had arranged for a cake as per my request which was served in dessert. We had the tomahawk steak, which was made to perfection.  It's very difficult to find a good tomahawk steak, but G&G nailed it. The roasted bone marrow was also very tasty and goes well with steak. I would go back here soon.

We had a lovely dinner here at Goose & Gander. I was with a group and most of the guys had the burger and really enjoyed it. I had the roasted cauliflower steak and some of their duck fat fries. The fries are delicious and surprisingly, the cauliflower dish was pretty filling. We also had the risotto for the table and it was so delicious we ordered another to go. For dessert we had the pumpkin cheese cake and the chocolate flan.

The staff is really professional and they did a great job at making sure everyone's needs were met.

The drinks here are FABULOUS, so many choices of specialty

The mushroom soup is the best I have ever had. The butternut squash is so good with the pomegranates, the salmon was to die for and the service impeccable. This restaurant deserves the highest star review and the ambiance is great and dog friendly.

So I really wanted to like this place, but ultimately did not. please know I don't enjoy leaving negative/average reviews. However, I'm going to be honest. This place was meh. We were super excited by the menu but then let down with service and food across the board. The goods- wedge salad and mushroom soup. Average- fried olives and steaks. Straight up not good- burger and Mac and cheese. Honestly the waiter said the Mac n cheese was a 6.5 when we asked if it was good, but table agreed it was like a 3 so ultimately sent it back. :( Maybe the kitchen was overwhelmed with the wedding party

Excellent everything! Streaks are top notch cooked perfectly. Nothing to rag on this place. If you plan on spending on a great meal this is the place! Super friendly inviting atmosphere felt very at home. We were seated by the kitchen which made it that much better .

This restaurant has a really neat atmosphere. A little like a pub. They also have upstairs, downstairs and outdoor seating. Our server was very attentive and nice.

This place seems to be always packed with people. Food was good. Forgot to take a picture of the huge steak we shared that was cooked perfectly. We also tried the fried olives and pistachio, pig ears and french fries.

Beautiful outdoor space. Wait staff was attentive. Dishes came at a good pace. Absolutely everything was delicious, but the table agreed the salmon was the best! If you can't get a reservation on-line, call. We did and it worked like a charm.

This place is by far the best hidden gem in Napa. The ambiance, food & service was amazing. We had a perfect romantic dinner under a permission tree and string lights in a garden. The cheese was the best cheese I’ve had since I was in Europe. Thank you for making our evening so special!

Come for the cocktails, stay for the food...or is it the reverse? Beats me because we thoroughly enjoyed both.
You've heard about the cucumber Collins - yep, definitely order it! We also had the Passion Project and Don't Keep a Dude Waiting (?) - all amazing.
We shared the radish appetizer, wedge salad (great ratio of bleu to bacon!) the New York strip that had a yummy peppercorn sauce, and the patatas bravas.
I love sharing our food because it makes me feel better when I order dessert, and the peach pie did not disappoint. Oh my....
Love this place!

My wife and I went here to celebrate our 3rd anniversary and were not disappointed. The menu is fun and creative, the food is well executed, and the service is top-notch. They also managed to make their outdoor seating feel luxurious and intimate.

The food is OK and they state the steaks are their best dishes but me, they were OK but not special. The burger wasn't great either - the bun was too big, flavorless and the burger meat was also a little bland. On the plus side, nice selections of wine and a reasonable corkage fee of $20 and really good churros - freshly made and great caramel sauce.

Split a few apps, a steak, a burger, and dessert with a friend and spent $115 including tip.
- Pig Ears: 5/5 crispy, savory, sweet, delicious.
- Duck fat fries: 5/5 perfectly crunchy outside and tender inside. Be sure to ask for some ranch sauce.
- Churros w/ Salted Caramel: 5/5 Didn’t know what to expect, but very impressed by these.
- G&G Burger: 4/5 nothing outstanding, but the bread was good
- Wagyu Filet Mignon: 3/5 not worth it imo. The flavor gets completely overpowered by the bleu cheese and Demi glacé.
Great service, our server was polite, funny, and always around if we needed

Goose & Gander, thank you for having us even though you were busy!!
- You should make reservations!! 2 of my friends and I went on Sunday around 5:30 and they were completely booked out. Bar is also first come first serve. I guess people don't do much in the area other than eating and drinking...? Haha! But the servers were very nice and later gave us a 'waiting table' where we sat for the rest of the night.
- Lovely outdoor space and interesting interior inside the Bar. Wish I got to sit inside and look around some more.
- Bathrooms located downstairs in the Bar, very clean

Ok, just wow! Just wow!!!! Being a vegetarian, I can tell you that I can taste the freshness in every bite. No processed stuff, just plain simple farm fresh veggies cooked extremely well. My God! I'm coming back again.

I had the :
(1) shisito peppers 5/5
(2) Croquette corn 4/5
(3) Garden fresh veggies 8/5 (yes, that good)

I'm coming back again tomorrow. Period!

LOVED IT!! We got a referral from a winery on Spring Mountain road and so glad we stopped. We just did apps and drinks at the bar, which was beautiful. Host and servers were super gracious.
We got the croquettes (were fine but wouldn’t do again- because the other stuff was better!), bone marrow was awesome, loved the chicken wings, we closed out with the churros which were also awesome.
For drinks I got the Pimms cup- 10/10.
Thanks for a great experience!

Had a great dinner experience on Friday night 06/25/21 post covid. Reservations for 6 and was seated right away by super friendly hostesses. Server was patient with our loud group of ladies. She knew we were celebrating a birthday.

We were seated on the outdoor patio, which got a little chilly but they didn't turn on the heaters.

We ordered cheese plate, cauliflower, and bone marrow to start. For dinner, both ribeyes, kale salad, wedge salad, mushroom soup, and duck fat fries. For dessert, strawberry pie, and espresso panna cotta.

Food was exceptional; perfectly cooked medium/med rare

There is no better elevated bar food and steaks experience than what you will find here as you sit outside on a warm evening. This popular hot spot sits just off the main artery in Saint Helena on a corner lot. It's a house turned eatery. Once you make it thru the adoring fans to the host stand and shout out your reservation name/time, you'll be whisked away to your table for a wonderful evening.

The liquor menu reads like an encyclopedia. It was so impressive that I almost expected Westvletren to be on tap with a bottle of Maruccia. I opted for a Pliny the Elder and my spouse enjoyed
