Services
Liberty Coin & Currency has three locations, one in Vancouver and two in Portland. We are a family-owned business that specializes in evaluating rare coins, currency, jewelry, gold, silver, and platinum. For close to two decades, we've been providing our customers with honest, friendly advice and free evaluations.
The entire process takes only minutes and is based on three things: the condition, intrinsic value, and current market prices. We will show you how we came to our determination. A lot of jewelry is stamped or has an identifying marker that indicates the amount, or purity, of the precious metal in the jewelry.
If you're thinking about selling your diamonds, first get a free evaluation so you can make an informed decision. We pay top dollar for diamonds and diamond jewelry. Our diamond analysts have the experience catching small details that other businesses would easily miss. And that means more money in your pocket.
We buy and sell more than 1,000 notes a year! We stock a wide variety of currency, including colonial currency, confederate currency, and foreign currency. If there's something specific you're looking for, we've established a national network of dealers and collectors that allows us to find most types of paper notes.
Issued from 1862 to 1971, a United States Note is also known as a Legal Tender Note. Legal Tenders have been issued longer than any other paper currency in the United States. You never see Legal Tenders in circulation thought they are still considered official currency. And they are easy to spot. The U.S. Treasury Seal and the serial numbers are printed in red (modern Federal Reserve Notes are green).

I had a great time here! The employees are extremely nice and helpful. Also, their prices are better than anything on eBay for all of the coins, and the silver bar that I bought. I wanted to leave a small tip, as I like to do at any establishments where I have a great time. They explained to me that there’s no need for that and that they’re a family owned business. I really appreciate that, not only the savings on my purchase but also the wholesomeness of the whole operation. They understand that a lot of us are trying to invest in these things as a hedge against inflation, and they don’t

I stopped by here since there are only a few coin dealers in the area. I have not sold any coins to this company, so cannot comment on that, however I have stopped by to purchase items and will comment on that.
One of the best things I can say about this place is it is bigger than the rest I have visited in the area and they seem to have a large variety of coins. This would be the reason for the 3 stars, lots and lots of space and coins.
But..The main thing that one comes away from this store is the complete lack of customer service. Every time I have walked into this business, I have not once

I regret Doing business with these people. Wish I had kept my collection. Didn’t have to sell just trying to get rid of things I didn’t need. They offered me spot on all my silver dollars, and other silver coins. Had a bunch of 1771-1865 Dutch and English coins too. When I pointed out the 1884 CC dollar they upped their offer for that coin but told me everything else was common junk coins. Later found out many of my coins were quit valuable. Went in a week later and saw the CC for over double what they gave me and some other coins I had highly inflated prices. Not bad for “junk”. They scoff
