Services
At Vernon Lee, we proudly welcome all participants regardless of race, creed, religious or political belief, sexual orientation, or nationality. Gymnasts, parents, and staff are held to standards of mutual respect. No one is allowed on the gym floor unless in a class, supervised by a member of the staff.
Monique has 20 years of coaching experience with Vernon Lee and was a successful competitor herself. The daughter of two coaches/club owners, she was raised in the gym. Monique competed Level 10 and holds six national titles. Monique completed her B.A. Summa Cum Laude from UCLA in 2008 with majors in History and German, and achieved her M.A. in Modern European History at UCSD in 2011.

At Vernon Lee Gymnastics, we're always on the lookout for new, talented individuals who can join our team in the betterment of the future generation of gymnasts in both team and recreational development.
We are proud to offer a scholarship program available to all class levels including team programs. We believe every child should have the opportunity to reach their full potential in the sport of gymnastics regardless of family income status. Our scholarship program is designed to help families manage the costs for tuition, summer camp, uniforms, and competitions.
An exploratory style class in which our littlest friends can roam to their hearts content, using our amazing equipment with the help of a trusted adult. It is great for pre-walkers, new walkers, and those ready to push boundaries. The freedom that comes with this play-based approach to learning in this class is a sensory-delight for little ones.

My daughter just started taking classes here about a month ago and it's been great! I searched high and low in the Valley for a gym that was the real deal but also wouldn't cost us an arm and a leg! I am more than willing & happy to drive out to Pasadena for her to train here! The price points are very reasonable and it's been such a pleasure so far! Getting her registered was really simple through one phone call for info and then email for registration, and paying is done through an online portal which is great. Classes are separated by a color system, similar to martial arts

Vernon Lee has run their business through the entire pandemic in very creative and flexible ways. Both my daughter's have been through their program; in recreational ways and on the team for a short spell - and Ms. Monique runs an intense and intentional program. My daughter's went to another local gymnastics place, and the workout was not as good! They work em here! A mother's dream! Prices are fair, and the program changes and grows in beautiful and flexible ways. Get your kids over there!

Vernon Lee is a fantastic gym with a strong focused team program and a variety of recreation classes for all levels. The coaching is outstanding and they have produced multiple USAG state and regional champions as well as former IGC world champions. Every kid there has the ability to go as far as the work that they are willing to put in will take them. My daughter went from an awkward 8 year old rec student to a multiple state, regional and world champion in 4 short years.

We were referred to this gymnastics studio by friends and I am very impressed! We have been to others in Pasadena and I love the atmosphere here so much more...teachers are friendlier, class sizes are smaller, parking is super easy, and the gym is clean! We are very excited to begin our gymnastics endeavors here!

My seven year old daughter took a week of gymnastics camp this summer and it was really great and positive. She's a beginner and it's hard to find a beginner class with kids her age. Well, we just found one here!
The white level Sunday class is full of kids her age and the skills are appropriate for her age. Also, the program is carefully thought out and promotes skill building, strength and flexibility.
The instructor, Ain, is awesome. Upbeat, kind, engaged, explains things well, attentive but not pushy. I'm really happy we found this class and my daughter is too.

I love Vernon lee I have the best coaches. Learning new skills is so fun. We go to cool competitions. It is a great learning experience and I am progressing quickly. The gym is really pretty. I just love and enjoy gymnastics so much here. In just one year I have gotten so many skills. I recommend Vernon lee

My 7 year old has been taking classes here for 2-3 years now and she loves it. She now attends twice a week since it's her fav. Instructors are very friendly and everything is very clean including the restrooms. There's also a good amount of parking as well as street parking in the residential area.

Vernon Lee is a great place for children and adults alike. The kids are trained to “safely” push themselves, to respect their peers and to age-appropriately work hard. All coaches are held to high standards and… many parents are as invested and involved as the kids. Grateful for this non-profit and all they give back to our local community!!!

I couldn't be happier with the coaches and the training my daughter is receiving at Vernon Lee Gymnastics. I really feel like we struck gold in finding this gym! The advancements my daughter is making in… gymnastics is unbelievable. She took her very first class in the sport in January 2016 at Vernon Lee. She is now, just over a year later, on the competitive team and doing very well! With the hard work she puts in, the care and excellent training from the coaches and the family atmosphere she will continue to do great things in gymnastics.

My 5 year old has been taking classes here on and off for a year and it's great. She has joined the little pre team squad, practicing 3 days a week, and she loves it. Her confidence has developed and her coach, Ms. Monique, is a tough love, high rigor kinda gal, perfect for my wild child;).
Some of the other teachers for the younger recreational teams seem young and a bit disorganized, but we never had those teachers, so I can't complain! Lots of good spirit here by the older team girls and families, and overall very inspiring to be a part of this athletic community.

My name is Francesca, and I have been coming to their adult gymnastics class easily for over three years now. On and off, and I am trying to stay as consistent as I can so I can get better. I have seen 40 year old people do their class and with consistency they have done amazing things! For $10 a class, you can't beat that. But it is not so much the money, as it is the caring that the coaches they have who help you better your techniques, and goals; whether it is to learn how to do a back handspring, or handstand push ups. I like them the BEST out of every other gymnastic place in Pasadena

Nothing beats the love and fun that kids have at VL. The parents night out program was so much fun for my kids. They had a blast! Although the place is old, the staff connects with the kids in a way that only a loving owners can do. My daughter liked it so much that we also did her birthday party there.

The Vernon Lee Gymnastics Academy is a really nice gym in central pasadena. From the moment I stepped in I felt really welcome. All the trainers and staff are very friendly and they take the parents and the childrens needs very seriously. The teaching is very professional, since all trainers competed at high levels and are still able to show their students how to do it right ;-). Actually I was pretty impressed by how good some of the kids are even at very young ages.
