Routine eye exams can detect diabetic changes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cataracts and glaucoma. In order to maintain your eye health, we recommend yearly eye exams, even if you feel your vision has not changed. No matter your age or physical health, it is important to have these exams in order to detect and diagnose vision changes and potential problems.
We are able to prescribe custom and specialized lenses for special needs, such as: bifocal contact lenses; astigmatism contact lenses; colored contact lenses; keratoconus treatment. Contact lenses are a great option for people needing vision correction. Whether you are brand new to contact lenses or a seasoned veteran, we will fit you in the latest technology available to maintain clear, comfortable vision.
We are pleased to offer the Optomap retinal scan technology in our office! The Optomap provides an ultra-widefield, high definition view of your retina. The retina is the part of your eye captures the image of what you are looking at, similar to film in a camera. The Optomap is fast, easy, and comfortable for all ages.
The American Optometric Association's recommends that a child have an eye exam at 6 months, 3 years old, before entering kindergarten and every 1-2 years thereafter. Vision doesn't just happen - it is a learned sense. A child's brain learns how to use eyes to see, just like it learns how to use legs to walk or a mouth to form words.

I moved from out of town and needed a new eye doctor because my vision is pretty bad. When I first walked in I could tell this was a great place. Very clean, great office, and well organized. The staff is so friendly. Dr Seger is extremely nice, explained everything thoroughly. You can tell she’s one of the best eye doctors around. So happy I found this place!

Absolutely phenomenal. Everything from the phone call for scheduling the appointment to the way I was treated walking in and out the door was nothing short of wonderful. The ladies at the front desk are nothing but helpful and kind. Dr. Seger was professional, kind, and very knowledgeable. I would reccomend them twice over if I could.

From walking in the front door through the eye examination, they couldn’t have been more professional and nice. They explained everything they were doing with their state of the art equipment. I’ve never seen hi-res pictures of the back of my eyes. I highly recommend the Spectacle Shoppe and Dr Sefer for an eye exam or finding great frames for your glasses.
