We are so excited to announce the opening of our first Sano Cafe located in Mercer Island, Washington. After launching Sano Bar in 2015, and seeing the demand and support for healthy alternatives to the food we and our families are eating, I was encouraged to expand our offer across a range of delicious foods.
This also created the opportunity to create a gathering place for our customers who care about what they are eating, especially for our kids. Sano, which means healthy mind and body in Italian, is exactly what we are striving to provide in our cafe.

Very healthy cafe. Had a premade salad from the case & a green juice (freshly pressed). Salad was very fresh & delicious. I liked everything about the salad. I would not order the green juice again. I will come back to try other bowls. Small indoor dining space & outdoor patio. Get a croissant next door as dessert. We need more healthy cafe like this!

My boss sent me from Bellevue to get lunch for her and I picked up a meal for myself. It was quite good. I went back the next day and ordered lunch again for myself. I had the Kale Ceasar lunch bowl with chicken. It was absolutely delicious. I'm not one to be fond of salads but this one was delightful. I was sad to have finished it. On top of that, the staff were friendly, efficient and they even remembered my name the next day(super bonus points!). This place reminds me of a couple of similar stores in Bellevue (which are apparently now closed) but Sanos is MUCH better! I wish them much

Tried this place out and the wait time was the equivalent of sitting at an actual restaurant. When I walked in there was literally not a single customer there. I'm thinking the order was botched because 10+ people came in after me for non online orders and got their stuff before I did even though some ordered the same thing I did at the counter. All in all 20+ minutes later I had somewhere else to be and I couldn't take it to go so I asked for a refund and their system crashed in the process. It was an adventure for sure. Terrible start to a Sunday morning. I will say the staff there was very polite

I ordered an Açaí bowl and a lavender lemonade for about 20$ so this cafe is on the pricer side. The service was good considering how busy it was (parking can be hard to find), the atmosphere was light and airy! Overall the açaí bowl was delicious and fresh, I do wish there was more fruit so I would recommend asking for more fruit when ordering but other than that I really enjoyed my visit!

My go-to place for salads and smoothie bowls! It's located in Mercer Island and has a good sized parking lot outside. There's a lot of seating indoors, and the decor is very neat and has a bright, minimal aesthetic.
The salads are what keep me coming back. The bowls are huge, the ingredients are fresh and the combinations they put together just compliment each other so well. My favorite is the harvest salad ($10) which contains spinach, kale, sweet potato, apple, brussel sprouts, parsnips, hazelnuts, and dried cherries. The dressing is amazing too. They are super generous with the toppings

This is my go-to lunch when I want a change of environment since working from home. Sano Cafe is the closest thing I found to all the health places I used to eat at when I lived in LA. Their food and drinks are consistent, service is great even during the lunch rush, and the environment is very pleasant.
One advise to management, for what it's worth: Please consider making homemade nut milks and using them for your smoothies instead of the carton milk stuff, it would take your smoothies to the next level, I promise it makes a huge difference in the taste.

Sano Cafe is the best find of 2020!
On my way back from the east side of Seattle I looked up a smoothie bowl place. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I was going to my new favorite spot.
You walk in and it's like being in the most tranquil little shop. You instantly feel relaxed and then you try the smoothie bowl. It is fresh, cold, nutty, crunchy on top, flavorful and refreshing.
Eventually I discovered their Avocado toast and it was on another level. My friend and I literally the other day was discussing how on earth they get these fresh avocados and keep them looking so bright and

I consider myself picky and pickier with Açaí bowls. The only good places I've been to was one in SF and the other in Miami. I'm so happy I took a risk at Sano bc these were DENSE (not diluted with water or bananas/skimping on açaí), rich, and delicious. I'll be frequenting this place more come Summer! Thank you, Sano

The açaí bowl was large and substantial. I recommend eating there (don't take out) because by the time I got home, it was way too soft, like a smoothie, so I had to put in the fridge to solidify it a bit. Store is cleanly and efficient. Super cute outdoor seating and next to a French pastry shop so you can hit both cravings at once, am I right?

For those in-between Seattle and Bellevue wanting their matcha latte fix or other 'superfood' smoothies and juices, this is your happy medium. Nothing new or outstanding with the menu - pretty standard health-oriented drinks. I stuck with my oat milk matcha latte and it did not disappoint thankfully.
My only gripe is that the seating is narrow and off-kilter even with pandemic spacing. There is space at the 'bar' but I found it impossible to have a conversation without any of the barista's able to listen in. Not my cup of tea.
Grab it all to go.

Stopped by this place for lunch with my friend and her baby. I was grateful that they had gluten free and plant based options. Yaaaaas!
I asked the worker which bowl was the most filling between the açaí and pitaya. He said açaí was the way to go.
The açaí wasn't too sweet and I loved the fresh fruits on top. I think it was the least sweet açaí bowl I've had in awhile so I really enjoyed it!
There were people working on their laptops and I could definitely see myself doing the same.
Fun fact for parents:
There's a customize a smoothie for Kids! You pick any three

Was excited to see another cafe pop up on mercer and just had to try it out. Definitely a bit on the trendy side with glass vials of ocean water chalked full of healthy stuff for purchase by the counter. Not my thing at all but I'm sure the folks of mercer will like it. Loved the island acai bowl and it's not super saturated with sugar and juice like other places. More earthy acai which was amazing. My friend got the banana bowl, the banana bowl was really good and thick so def a lot of bananas. Coffee was good and bowls were great, we will definitely be back in the future for more bowls.
