If you're ever on a road trip or are passing by Connecticut, do yourself a favor and stop by Zoi's on Orange for breakfast! OMG, it was literally one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. It's a small shop that's easy to miss, but thanks to Yelp, we came across Zoi. I ordered the Big Kahuna, which was sausage, bacon, egg, cheese, hashbrowns, and ketchup on a roll.
It sounds like a heart attack, but I guarantee you'll finish the entire thing with no regrets. It was THAT good. We've been a New Haven institution for over a decade, and with our newly renovated spot in Grove Street, we're going strong! We roast our own fresh turkey and beef daily. Zoi's makes chicken cutlets by hand and grilled chicken every day, too. We source locally so that we get the best ingredients for everything we make - that's important to us.

Right in the heart of downtown New Haven, this Greek owned restaurant is AMAZING.
Zoi's has been working diligently to find product & use systems that are respectful to animals & the environment. In doing so, we have aligned Zois with vendors that know where, how and who our product originates from. Also, we have begun the process of switching to compostable paper products (ie if you noticed, most of our togo containers are now compostable).

Zois is one of my favorite lunchtime venues. Their menu options are creative & almost overwhelming. This was a special order & there were no complaints. However, bc they are so good, their service can be a bit behind. I ordered food for 1230 pick up & it was not ready until 1242. But I really like the ppl, the food & the owner Pete. Just be prepared for a wait

Been a fan of Zoi's since they were at the Orange St location. Love the new spot right on Grove St, but I'm glad that it still feels like the same Zoi's. The only thing better than their food is the customer service. Always top notch and has me ready to support whenever I'm downtown.
I generally go for breakfast. You can't go wrong with any of the breakfast sandwiches, but the Lumberjack has a special place in my heart. Maybe because I could eat it and not be hungry for the rest of the day.

This place rocks! Our party of 10 had brunch on a busy Friday morning. Zoi's staff was very accommodating and placed us in our own section called "The Ivy Room" which had a garage door wall and allowed a nice breeze to come through as well as the sounds of the city. Our orders came out quickly and without error. What really impressed me was watching how many people zoi's served while we leisurely enjoyed our breakfast. There was a continuous line of people but it moved steadily and there were no frowns to be seen. Food was delicious and just what we all needed after a wedding the night before.

I could have sworn I've already written a review. But obviously not or somewhere else. Anyway ordered online. Picked up food. Short stack and bacon. I've ordered many times before. Usually our admin picks up the order. But today....no syrup no butter. Do I have to explicitly write that to get that with my pancakes or is eating them dry the new thing I'm not aware of.
I'm so annoyed. I send people here all the time. I say "food is consistently great" "expect a wait, it's worth it" but now I'm like....()&^%&*()&^%$&*!!!!!!!!!

I'm a sucker for a good sandwich and always enjoy trying local places. Based on the reviews I gave this place a try and was not disappointed. I got the #10. This sandwich was packed! I was expecting sliced deli meat .... instead I got freshly roasted slices of REAL TURKEY! The salad had great flavor, the cheese was perfect and I had it quick! It was busy and they still had my sandwich in less than 5 minutes! It even comes with a pickle. This will for sure be a place I stop at again. I wasn't expecting to find this gem but I sure glad I did!

Last breakfast stop on my trip and I chose this cool little Cafe. I had the sweet Pete a bacon egg and cheese on croissant with grilled onions. It was very tasty and the croissant was fresh and delicious. The Cafe has loads of different options and the lunch menu looked even better! I had an iced coffee to go which was good with many dairy options available. Good place for a quick breakfast or lunch I'd absolutely recommend it!

This place is so good. I've had a lot of different items, but the Chicken Cutlet with bacon, cheese, and chipotle sauce on Ciabatta is life changing. Get the fries too if you have nothing else planned for the day. The only negative is that this place closes pretty early, so it's difficult to eat here unless it's your day off.

Quick friendly service in a cute location with a good amount of indoor seating. Street parking. They serve breakfast and lunch. I got a bacon egg and cheese on toasted bread (I think they skipped the toasted step because you could hardly tell). I picked pumpernickel bread to switch it up.The boy got a kahuna sandwich which basically is a breakfast sandwich with all the components of breakfast on it, he liked his a lot. We both split a fry which came out fresh and hot. Looked like they had a pretty good specials list (posted here) that id like to try another day. Coffee was just OK!

Breakfast Place! Yes, finally there’s a great quality breakfast place downtown. Very reasonably priced.
Vegetarian options include ordering a no meat version of “The Lumber Jack” which is my favorite.
I appreciate the ability to purchase REAL MAPLE SYRUP instead of using the standard HFCS version.

It's always fun when I'm downtown and around the corner to head to Zoi's on Orange. This time around, I had jury duty which is daunting so needed a pick me up. I got an egg & cheese sandwich with spinach, avocado & caramelized onions on a croissant for only $5. The best part is they don't charge you extra for avocado which is awesome!! The young lady behind the counter who's usually the person that rings me out is so sweeettttt, no matter if it's in the morning or evening.
