Prospect Beach House sits on a historic corner directly across from the beach in the West Shore district of West Haven, Connecticut. Named after an old-time 1920's neighborhood inn and eatery from the famed Savin Rock Amusement Park days, PBH was completely gutted out and renovated in 2018 in a coastal farmhouse theme, paying homage to our beautiful shorefront as well as the extensive history of the Prospect Beach neighborhood.

I got the smokehouse burger and the summer salad.
The food was pretty good.
My respectful constructive criticisms are that I wish the relish on the burger was a little less sweet and perhaps should be a tad spicy.
As far as the salad, the concept is nice, but for the price, it should include more than three small, thin sliced mozzarella pieces and more than 4 thinly sliced apple slices. They were sliced nice, but should have more.
All in all, the food was good though. I prefer to order from local private establishments.

Went again after over a year of not living in the area. I'm happy to say their food is delicious and still hit the spot like it always has. Had the Breakfast Burrito for lunch. My wife enjoyed her ham egg and cheese. I ordered also a build your own salad and that thing went down no problem, was planning to only eat half and devoured the whole thing.

Just moved to the area and so happy to have found my new go-to place. The place is so welcoming, all the employees were so kind and the food is insane. Order a different sandwich each day with my coffee and a muffin or cookie. Give it a shot and you won’t be disappointed if you like kind employees and good food. Damn.

Amazing deli. Went there for lunch this afternoon for the first time. I hold my “Italian’s subs” to a very high standard, and this one exceeded my expectations. Great bread, quality meats, and great ratio with the veggies and oil and vinegar. Fantastic all around and a great vibe right next to the beach. I’ll be back
