Got a chicken parmesan grinder. Was made perfect and was delicious. Will come again!

I was impressed by the portion sizes of meat in the sandwich I ordered. I noted how clean everything looked. I appreciated how friendly the staff were. I was surprised I would not have thought to eat there of my volition.
Give them a shot - their menu is extensive.

Ordered a turkey, cheese, bacon with Mayo on hard roll. Had the tell the guy behind the counter 5 times what the order was. I received turkey bacon with tomato and Mayo on hard roll. Took it back and they just added turkey and lettuce which I never ordered. I wanted real bacon on my sandwich!!!

Good food, a little lite on the meat. My only problem is the fact that the staff never stop talking to each other and I find they make lots of mistakes with my orders. They seem to be having to much fun goofing off and less concern for providing a fast accurate order.

The food was really good. I really enjoyed the soup. It was spicy and I have the flu so I appreciate the kick. The lady at the counter is a little odd. She curses under her breath but the food is so good I'll ignore her bad behavior. Thank you.

I ordered a sandwich and they gave it to the wrong customer since it was very busy. The customer fingered through it so they assured me they would make me a new sandwich. I watched the girl go into the kitchen and re wrap the same sandwich and brought it back out and handed it to me. Disgusting and unsanitary is being polite. Needless to say I left the food on the counter and walked out.

Food is good, i got bacon egg and cheese twice. Once on a roll and once on a wrap. Both times it was a bit salty. It is fairly inexpensive. Family run business, should give it a try but make sure you tell them only a little salt!

Not a fan.. have tried several (dozens?) of times for the convenience of being close by, but it's worth driving further to get better food.

The sandwiches are inconsistent and bread is often soggy. Not particularly flavorful and lacking spicy options like buffalo.

Food wasn't bad. My wife ordered a Chx cutlet sandwich. They only put one breast on the sandwich. There was more bread than meat.

Great service by the women working here. They are sweet and take great pride in their food. I want to love this place but it's just ok to me. I'm not sure why. The sandwiches are good. Ok, maybe just ok. One of the better sandwich shops in Milford but I think it could be better

I love their Mamas Boy Wrap!! It's meatball & eggplant with cheese on a wrap. It's soft and gooey and their meatballs & eggplant are homemade. I can easily eat this sandwich several times a week!! LOL the staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable . They also have a large, eat in area or deliver your take out.

After reading the reviews we decided to place a take out order - steak and cheese on hard
roll, barbecue pork on hard roll, sides of plain macaroni salad, tuna macaroni salad
and potato salad.
The positive- the hard rolls were fresh and good.
The not so positive- the steak was inedible - dried out, my husband
said the barbecued pork was "just o.k. but would never order it again".
He ate half of a sandwich. The 3 salads were tasteless, no seasoning,
no celery, no onion. The mayo was dreadful. We discarded everything.
We will stick to our normal deli which never disappoints.

Background:
This review is based off of two take out sandwich experiences on two different occassions, so I can't say it was an isolated experience.

Experience:
Bert's looks like it has all the goods from the outside;
Local deli vibe - check
Inventive sandwich list - check
Assortment of chips/speciality pastas and salads - check
Quality ingredients - check

However, after tasting a "Mt. Etna" and an "Amy", I have to say I was pretty dissappointed.

Great neighborhood deli! Friendly staff. Good coffee. Very accommodating with food orders.

I am gluten free and Bert's does provided good alternatives including gluten free bread, which I appreciate.

Love this place!!! Great staff and owners always friendly and LOVE LOVE LOVE that they carry gluten free sandwich bread and English muffins as a bread option for their awesome sandwiches !
