Feel very fortunate to have tried these guys out. I was apprehensive going into it as I had been using the same shop for quite a while but had moved away from that area of town(also, I am a little obsessive about my car). It worked out really well, Tom and Chris were very knowledgeable, they even solved a problem my other shop had not been able to!

These guys were wonderful! I just dropped in today for my DEQ inspection. they were so friendly, got me right in and it was all taken care of in <10 minutes (better than going to the DMV that's for sure!). I don't have a German car and so probably won't need their other services and yet they were so happy to help. If I do get a German care in the future I know where I will take it!

A very friendly, customer oriented place.They did a
DEQ check for me very quickly at no kick up from just going to a DVM sponsored test facility.
I would take my car there for service based on what I experienced but mine is a Toyota and they only service most German cars. So I recommended trying them if you have German Iron. That said this is only based on their attitude since I did not actual have any repairs done.

These folks are great! Found them on the DMV's website as a place to go in lieu of the DEQ. Searched other locations but this one only charged $10 for DEQ testing whereas the others were charging 20-40. I showed up and was greeted by an apprehensive looking but ultimately attentive shop dog that kept me busy during the ensuing 90 second wait. A friendly gentleman noticed the paperwork in my hand and intuited the reason for my visit. He asked for my keys and we went to the car. is the "Porsche Whisperer". He explains why a repair requires immediate action and what can be postponed. I can count on two fingers when there's been an issue. They were promptly dealt with to my satisfaction. I think you're foolish if you buy an exotic and not accept that with the level of complexity the cost of maintaining it will also increase. More so with vintage cars.
I would not go anywhere else to have my '89

Recently had a bad experience on my 911.... some work done fine but other work not! Car was returned with a severe problem and after much research by me I found what the issue might be. When I queried the shop was told something quite different and more costly to repair .... and not the problem. Dropped close to $4000 and had a poorly running car on return. Poor follow up when I called .....ended up going to another shop that diagnosed problem and fixed it .... was what I researched! At this point have little faith to ever go back and not sure even if work already done by the shop. I suggest looking

Do yourself a favor, don't bring your Porsche here. I have a beloved 996 turbo. In the course of 3 months, I spent over 7k with Marque and have nothing but regrets. When they did my clutch change, one of the techs forgot to torque the bolts that connect the axle to the trans... 100 miles later I'm driving down the road and the car exploded. That's not even the worst part, 2 months later I have my car there for a simple spark plug change, and when Kurt is bringing the car around from the back HE SCRAPES MY WIDEBODY TURBO on the 914 next to it, leaving a dent all along my door. I have been bringing our car to Marque Motors for a few years now. They always do what they say and charge reasonable prices. Recently the side indicator light went out. They suggested I pop in so they could take a look at it. 10 minutes after I arrived, they said, "She is good to go." They repaired the lamp on the spot and refused payment.

My 2011 Audi suffered a significant issue and I dropped it off at Marque simply because it was the closest repair shop to my house. Kurt went out of his way to review the vehicle's service history. He even recommended I take the car to one of the local dealers as the issue may have been caused by their faulty repairs. The fact that he was willing to forgo a five digit repair in order to help me out was truly appreciated. When the local dealer reneged on its warranty, I took my vehicle back to Kurt for the repairs. Kurt was great about explaining what work needed to be accomplished now and what work would be needed some time in the future while I had this great car. Brought a new to me 997.1S for a repurchase inspection. Very thorough inspection including dropping oil pan, cutting into filter, DME over rev report. Left feeling confident vehicle had no hidden problems. Shop had half a dozen 911s in the air, outside, which was a welcome sign. If I lived in Portland they would be my mechanic!

I called in advance to have my BMW dropped off to have an oil leak checked and to look at the air injection pump because of the OBD codes that popped up. I let them know I had it looked in Washington and it was the valve cover gasket however I wanted a mechanic closer to where I just recently moved. The guy seemed nice, said to bring it in the next morning and he would take a look and give me an estimate. On the way to bring the car in the next morning my power steering went out. I have been taking my Porsche 911 Carrera 4 since July of 2013 and this place is amazing! They are upfront, honest and they have excellent customer service, which is huge deal for me. Every time I have taken my car their for routine maintenance of something needed repair, they were always willing to take my back home or to work, if they had an available employee to take me. I made an appointment to have my 911 looked at by Kurt on Jan 13th, 2014. My car is a Targa and I didn't bring the folding top with me as I thought the car would be only there a day or two, max. I've had my '86 Porsche 911 into Marque a couple of times now. The first time was for a complete suspension rebuild. Kurt was great about laying out various options for parts and such. They did a great job and transformed the car's handling back into factory new condition.
The second time was to repair a couple of heater fans that had burned out. They did that quickly and at a totally fair price. But what really impressed me was that the technician did a general assessment of the car's condition while they had the car and gave me a list of things that might be needing attention

Marque Motors services foreign cars including Audi's and Porsches, and although it's a bit of a trek out to Macadam, it's worth it to know a specialist is looking at your car. They've been my shop for years, and they are frequently booked out for several days but will squeeze in emergencies every time, which is comforting.
It's also fun to drop off your car and check out the gorgeous vintage Porche or new Audi in the lot. They're a small shop, but a trusted one for finicky foreign race cars.
