Most of us associate sunglasses with warm weather, hanging out at the beach, and other summertime activities. Today's Vision doesn't want you to make the mistake of forgetting to wear your favorite shades during the colder winter months. Here are some reasons why it is important to always remember to wear your sunglasses - any time of the year.
Sunglasses aren't just fashionable. A quality pair of sunglasses is important to your visual health, as they help to block harmful UV rays from reaching your eyes. Sunglasses can help prevent dry eye symptoms. If you've ever experienced dry eye syndrome, you know how uncomfortable constantly dry eyes can be.

Services
Regular eye exams serve two functions: to diagnose visual problems (also called refractive errors) and to identify, treat and monitor eye conditions (and diseases). Refractive errors include myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), astigmatism and/or presbyopia that can be corrected with eyeglasses, contacts or vision correction surgery (LASIK).
Eyeglasses with designer frames have various functions depending on your lifestyle. These include prescription glasses; reading glasses; children's glasses; computer glasses; regular sunglasses and prescription glasses, second pair glasses, sport glasses, and safety glasses.
Today's Vision offices offer all types of lens materials (plastic, high-index, polycarbonate and glass) including those that darken in the sun (called photochromics) as well as anti-reflective coatings. We sell eyeglasses for women, men, children of all ages and even those with large heads! Today's Vision's No. 1 frame vendor is the No. 1 frame vendor in the world - Luxottica.

Lenses are the "window" to great vision and a good-looking pair of eye glasses. Lens designs include single-vision, aspheric, flat top (lined bifocials), progressives (no-line bifocials) and tri-focals as well as polarized sunglasses. Today's Vision eye doctors also typically recommend optional lens treatments for your vision and durability of your eyewear.
Your Today's Vision eye doctor will perform a contact lens (CL) exam/fitting to help you determine the right contact lenses for you. This is different from a regular eye exam, although some tests may be similar. Daily disposable contact lenses have become more popular (and have eliminated infections from wearing them too long).
As therapeutic optometrists, Today's Vision doctors undergo eight years of higher education to earn their Doctor of Optometry degrees and are licensed by the Texas Optometry Board. Optometrists work with other health professionals in diagnosing diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, high blood pressure and a host of systemic diseases.

I had such a great experience with Dr. Cantu and the rest of the staff at Today’s Vision. I called for an eye exam and the person on the phone was able to schedule me an appointment that same day and was very accommodating. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I am so glad I found this practice! They took the time to go over my options and were very patient and kind. Dr. Cantu was present and caring and took the time to answer all of my questions. I never write reviews but I had such a positive experience and wanted to share. Thank you to all of the staff for making getting new contacts

I was visiting from out of and desperately needed my glasses adjusted. Carson was so nice on the phone and told me to come right over and they would try to help. I knew they were trying to fit me their busy schedule. When I arrived Brenda very expertly adjusted my glasses better than they EVER were! Highly recommend these professional and courteous folks.

Dr was very nice and she seemed to care. I don't know if they are extremely busy or they're just very forgetful. I went in first day after the New year for contacts, I made sure to let them know my insurance was ending, when I found the right fit I was told they'll get back to me with prices. I had to call them back twice and each time I was told they'll get back to me. New month, insurance has expired, now I need to use my new insurance for my contacts. As of today, still no phone call. Upsetting... I thought i had found me a great place too.

First, I've been with this shop a long time. But this year's visit just floored me. I got my eye exam. That experience went well. Then I moved over to buy glasses. I'm going to keep the brief. Story ends with two eyeglass estimates (Boss $367, Airlock $450+). That's out of pocket and I have insurance! I asked how much insurance paid. The answer was, Insurance pays $ -65.00. Really? They said that with a straight face. So, I went shopping. Found glasses for $40 out of pocket, insurance covered the rest. Yes, the same insurance that pays -65.00. Never have I encountered such a mark up?
