Gabriel was great! Super friendly and helpful. He provided us a map and gave us suggestions as to where to ride and even a recommendation for a lunch stop. We misjudged how long it would take us to get back and ended up being a little late but Gabriel was nice about it and didn't charge us extra (although we gave him a tip in appreciation).
While we were waiting for our bikes to be brought out I also overheard Gabriel speaking with another customer about repairs on her bike and he was super honest with her about repairs that did and didn't need to be done. Would definitely recommend

Kudos to Gabe at Old town La Quinta Peddler Bike Shop. He put our ebikes together very quickly and reasonably when others were backed up for weeks and wanted obscene amounts of money. He tweaked and tuned everything up for us. Highly recommend him and his shop, in their new location at Calle Tampico and Washington.

COVID UPDATE 2: The Peddler has moved and is reopened in the shopping center that includes the Starbucks and the Soul of China restaurant. It took him awhile to get it open again, but he is back in business. Good luck.
A business called The Old Town Peddler makes you think of a bike shop with a friendly old guy that loves bikes, wears an apron and has a neat-as-a-pin work bench. OK, this Old Town Peddler is not an old guy, but otherwise you got it. They only rent bikes here, pretty much three models for adults, and they have a selection for children. Rental includes helmet and lock and lights

Gabe is great. Had 2 bikes of ours that I took in. One had a bad chain and the other needed a kid seat installed. He had to go to the hardware store twice to get parts to install the kid seat (it was hand me down so I didn't have all parts and it wasn't exactly for my bike). The other bike, he did a tune up and fixed the chain. When I mentioned I was going to have to pick them up separately due to not being able to leave our baby alone, he offered to drop them off at our house around the corner instead!

I went to Old Town Peddlers for a bike assembly and Gabriel was incredible. He went above and beyond to make sure my road bike was ready to race in the Ironman. He was friendly and professional and clearly knows all the ins and outs about bikes! You can trust him as a pair of safe hands with your precious ride. We recently brought two 1980's vintage mountain bikes to Gabe for tune ups. Prior to bringing them to his shop, we had stopped by another bike shop in Palm Desert who told us the repairs and tune up necessary for one of the bikes would cost us upwards of 250.00. We then brought the two bikes to Gabe who tuned and cleaned both for less than the amount the other bike store quoted for one. Bike work was completed in the time frame promised. Both bikes now ride as though they are new. Gabe is a pleasure to work with, and I would highly recommend his services for rentals or repairs. He is very

Fantastic experience! Warm and friendly staff, eager to bust out a map and show you the best places to ride around La Quinta. They provide excellent, well maintained bikes + helmets + bike locks + complimentary little draw sting backpacks to carry your stuff! They even give you free bottled water. And that's not even the best part... the prices are super reasonable. There is literally no reason not to give this place your business and enjoy a spectacular ride around this beautiful area. A++!

A great bike shop within walking distance of La Quinta's cute downtown. The owner was incredibly friendly and provided wonderful service from once we walked in to the end of the trip. He even has the ability to come out and fix the bikes on the trail if you puncture a tire. All of the bikes we were shown looked new and in good shape.

I highly recommend this bike repair shop. Gabe took care of my bikes repairs promptly and the price was reasonable. He was very professional & polite. He also rents out bikes as well and they all looked really nice & clean. His location is conveniently located near the La Quinta Cove next to Old Town La Quinta.
