Tri-A-Bike
Our professional mechanics have seen it all. Come to us when you need assistance with your bicycle repairs and we'll keep you on the go in no time. We are now operating from 10:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, 10:00am - 4pm Saturday, closed Sundays and Mondays. We see ourselves as essential to helping customers continue to remain active, while conforming to current social distancing standards.

We will have staff in the store who can be contacted at 760-340-2840 or by email at service@triabike or rentals@triabike.com. We will continue to service, and sell bikes as well as parts on a curbside basis, to minimize viral transmission. Staff are using an antiviral disinfectant on all bikes before we receive them and before we hand them back to the customer.
Services
Tri-A-Bike is the longest running bike shop in the Coachella Valley, originally started by David O'Donnell 30 years ago in Palm Desert. We provide a full-service offering, picking up and delivering bikes from Palm Springs to La Quinta and Indio and points in between. We are still the shop that has a local sense of community, with a can-do attitude.
Raul, Manny and the rest of the staff have been looking after customers for over 30 years. As the oldest shop in the Coachella Valley, the customer loyalty speaks for itself. Whether it's a flat, adjustment or tune-up we can get you out of the shop and back riding faster than anyone else. Our customers love that we work in the shop, not behind closed doors.
Because of short supply of bikes this year, if a rental bike is not available through on-line booking, please call us at 760-340-2840 to inquire about that rental. We will do our best to accommodate your rental needs. If you are here for a few days or a few months, enjoy the Coachella Valley by riding one of our quality top brand bikes.
Rental delivery or pick up at hotels, resorts or residence anywhere in the Coachella Valley!. Maybe you may just have too many bikes or are renting and your vehicle isn't big enough. We have the solution, let us pick up or deliver your rental or the bike you want to be repaired. Rates are based on your location and start as low as $10 per delivery to most of Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, and Indian Wells.
Tri-A-Bike is the place to come when you're looking to buy a bicycle in Palm Desert, California. We're fully stocked with a wide range of all types of bikes, including hybrid touring, leisure comfort, road bikes, mountain bikes, cruisers trikes and kids' bikes. Check out the model you want. In many cases, we have the model and size of bike in our rental fleet.

I am an annual visitor to Palm Desert, and wanted to try out Mountain Biking here. I rented a Giant MTB from Kate and Manny, and had an excellent experience. They were professional, responsive, helpful and knowledgeable. Manny took the time to make sure the bike fit was good and even recommended a great trail - Randall Henderson Loop Trail - which is probably the best, close-in trail to PD. I would definitely do business with Triabike again, they are a good business with fair prices and knowledgeable staff!

Triabike is THE go-to place for bike repair and service in the valley! (My mom also bought her bike there and had a great experience) They are professional and knowledgeable and will get you back on the road/trails. Big shoutout to Don for his amazing help!

I highly recommend Tri-a-Bike in Palm Desert. I researched recumbent e-trikes online, and phoned these guys after seeing a model of interest on their website. Even though we live in San Diego, my husband and I drove to Palm Desert, to see and test-ride it. I liked it, and would have had the battery added, but they rechecked their inventory, and had a still-boxed e-model in the stockroom. They assembled it, tuned and tested it for us, and we returned several days later to bring it home. I've had the bike a week now, and love it. With the current shipping delays affecting bicycle availability

Had both of our bikes serviced before our annual beach vacation. Super happy with the performance of our bikes. Friendly, knowledgable, competent and no upselling. Great group of local owners and bike enthusiasts. Our "go-to" place for service...

In these wish and wait times for a bike order, I placed my order with four different stores that rep the LaFree Giant ebike. Only Tri stayed in constant contact with me with arrival updates. Well worth the wait. As one would expect from a small full service store; When it arrived, I was fitted and the bike was delivered to my home with repeat operational instructions. This new 75th birthday eBike will be my last bike purchase. I love it.

Ok for repairs I guess. Went there to try an adult size ebike(large or medium), they had maybe one under $2,000. I was told they weren't getting more in for a month. Best they could do was raise the seat on a small bike if I wanted to try that. I was kinda hoping that one of the highest rated bike shops in the valley would have a larger inventory, especially at this time of year.

They were very easy to work with. Started my bike and completed it on date promised at price promised. Very happy with repair, friendly and did a good job. Thank you so much, a little out of my way to get here but I'll continue to make the extra trek to come here vs anywhere else locally.

I've rented bikes from Tri-A-Bike for years whenever I visit the Palm Springs area. I appreciate the quality of bikes that they rent, and the ease of renting, but I think they need better attention to quality. I rented a full-carbon bike with Ultegra, but when I picked it up they noticed that a flat tire and likely cut on the tire, so the mechanic put on a new tire (that's great), but the mechanic put on an *extremely cheap* wire-bead tire - something you'd get at Walmart, a tire that isn't even listed on the "road tire" section of the manufacturer's page, but

Today was the first time inside of this bike shop. My wife’s beach cruiser had a bent rim and from the first phone call to purchasing a new rim it was nothing short of courteous professionalism. I will be a repeat customer for sure. Well done. 👏

"You'll be lucky to get it sometime tomorrow" was the initial employee response. Simple tire change was the issue. I had asked if it was at all possible to make the repair before closing as I was on foot and a good 6 miles from home. "Sorry, no..." was the reply. I hesitated but decided to go ahead with leaving it and walking home. Employee asked a few questions then matter of factly said "we'll call whenever it's done." I paused waiting for a receipt of some sort, nothing offered, I asked and was told "well you can have one of these" a general

Clay and the Triabike team are so friendly and knowledgeable! We visited Palm Desert on vacation and had a few bike issues that would have prevented me from biking for the rest of the trip. Other shops in the area were not willing to take a look at my bike on short novice. Clay took my bike in and solved ALL of my problems (brakes, shifting, wheel out of true) so quickly that I was able to get back on the trail. He also came out to my car and gave me advice about my bike rack, which has been giving me problems. I highly recommend this shop!

Tried to get my tires changed here. I bought all the parts, tires, liners tubes. They said I could drop it off in the AM and pick it up by close of business same day.
That is until I showed up this morning with everything. The owner/mechanic then told me hed need it for at least a week because bikes with hub motors take more time.....
Bait and Switch or his own ignorance....
Either way not appreciated and I wont be frequenting this establishment again....
Saw the owner's reply. He is apparently calling me a liar. I called the day before spoke to an employee who relayed everything I said to

I had nine year old tires on my Trek bike and I called at noon and was told to bring my bike in. I dropped it off at 1 PM and at 3 PM both the front and rear tire and tubes were changed!

I'm always willing to pay a shop more than ordering something online and I was shocked to find that the excellent tires they sold me were actually five dollars less each than ordering them online at Amazon!

And only $10 for changing out each tire, having professionals do it meant that there were no spare parts left which would have been the case if I did it.

Thank you guys for your superfast professional

Cannondale road bike rental was in great shape at a fair price (especially after a week when it's only $10/day).
Be prepared for flat tires around Coachella Valley. Apparently they're very common (I had 4 in ~150 miles). The rentals have repair kits; make sure you have everything you need before you leave the shop. (My kit was missing the CO2 inflator, which I didn't realize until too late.)

The staff makes this bike shop one of the best. I've had the pleasure of getting great service from almost the whole team at one point or another. They're always very professional and most importantly, KNOWLEDGEABLE! Prices are very fair and while they do get busy at times, I never mind waiting for a job I know is going to be done right. Kudos to Tri-A-Bike!

I ordered my Cannondale gravel bike from them. My bike was packed well and arrived at my home completely intact. It took my about 2 hours to assemble it and soon, I was shredding my local trails.

This bike and I have raced in the Bonelli triathlons, Ironman triathlon in Whistler Canada, the Belgian Waffle Ride, and multiple crit rides.

I love my gravel bike. Road riding feels super comfortable. Basic mountain bike trails feel like Redbull Rampage.

I had given them a 5 star rating before, bu after my last visit they lost brownie points. I have been buying gear here for 8 years, even bought a bike here. But I took my bike in on a Saturday for a minor repair. They said were too busy and could not get to it until a week later. Thst it would be on worklist in 5 days. I went back 7 days later to pick it up and they said no one had worked on it yet, and they were too busy to work on it today, even though it was supposed to have been n.v worked on the day before. He said they will work on it Monday. I went back in on Tuesday. 10 dats after taking

If I could give Tri-A-Bike 10 stars I would!

My wife and I recently moved into "retired" status and have been looking to getting back into cycling to enjoy the marvelous outdoors of the Coachella Valley. Unfortunately, some recent lower back issues for both of us kind of complicated our search as to best options for us.

We visited a few local bike shops. Good stores, good people, highly knowledgeable but kind of a standard pattern - a little too much intimidating technical jargon and then guiding us to some very expensive priced 2-wheel options - that we just weren't sure we could
