I received my certifications in Pilates in 2005 and GYROTONIC in 2011. I teach in order to empower others to care for and feel good in their bodies, and believe that if you are able to sit, stand and live in ideal posture, you will feel great and be at ease. I began taking Pilates in 1995 as part of my pre-professional dance training.
Originally from New Hampshire, Danielle was first exposed to pilates as a method of cross training during her career as a professional ballet dancer. When she left the dance world she knew she had to keep her body moving and completed her teacher training in 2012. Danielle has taught in studios across the country while earning her undergraduate degree in nutrition and doctorate in naturopathic medicine.

Starting private sessions with Rachel was the best decision I have made in a long time. I have a new sense of body awareness, movement, mobility and breathwork...plus all of my little aches and pains in my back and knees have improved dramatically as a feel my core strength improving.
An unexpected benefit, my session have helped with my distance cycling as well. I have found myself focusing on engaging my core more on tough climbs and daily activity in general. I will for certain be continuing my training for a long time to come and excited where is takes me.

I can't say enough positive about Rachel's skill in diagnosing how weakness of core muscles and overuse of others was contributing to my problems. By the end of the first lesson, i already was feeling relief. Rachel is very organized, and sessions fly by. She is thoughtful about targeting interventions to the individual clients' needs. I can't say enough good. I haven't worked with other instructors at Body Connection, but from what I've seen (there are often
