Friendly, great customer service, quick repair and reasonably priced. Woke up to a flat tire. Hurried over to the recommended tire repair shops, but they were closed. G&R Auto was right on time.

Worst mechanics ever. First thing I did wrong, was go to a shop on western. Second mistake was not taking a man with me to the shop because they got over on me for being a woman. Also, I gave them $1,200 of my money for a damn catalytic converter and the problem still wasn't fixed. I went to the shop to pick up my car and they told me now that the back converter was damaged as well. I have a Chevy Cruze 2013. I only have one catalytic converter according to chevy dealer. They offered me my money back because he said he didn't want any problems with me. So now I'm back at square one

I took my Chevy Cobalt to G & R to get fixed this Saturday as the engine light came on. They were quick to assist and identify the issue. The technician that assisted me was very knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely recommend G & R!!!!

After I went here for the first time, I knew I would be coming back from now on. These guys are honest and professionals. Prices are reasonable and they know what they are doing. Valentin is very knowledgeable about cars. I am always satisfied with their work.

I was unaware my engine was blown when I took my car here. Engine was knocking and there was visible metal flake in the oil. No reputable mechanic would offer to service an engine with those symptoms. That didn't stop Erasmo Valentin from doing $1100 in repairs to the engine. Only to tell me that didn't solve my problem because my engine was bad. They also had my car in the shop for over 2 weeks. He offered to replace the engine for another $6000. I sued these clowns and got most of my money back. Gregorio's only defense was that I authorized the repairs that his mechanic recommended

Good mechanic, took care of my needs, was reasonably priced and did the job quickly. Have gotten general check ups, oil changes, a couple of leaky tires and brought my car in for emergency service when my radiator cracked. Couldn't fix the radiator (whole part needed to be swapped, confirmed by dealership and a second mechanic), but were able to give me a temporary fix to help me get to dealership. Didn't charge me an arm and a leg for it either. All my other service calls went well. All in all, only had positive experiences across the several times I've come.

I moved to Rogers Park, but I still bring my car here whenever I can. They go above and beyond, they even fixed my car on Christmas Eve when my catalytic converter was stolen. They just do a great job every time.

I moved into the neighborhood 8 years ago, just about the time they opened for business. They have been my mechanics the whole time. Very friendly. They will answer any questions I ask and explain everything needed and show me bad parts that they'd repaired. They are bilingual (Spanish and English). Their prices are competitive. I have never felt that they were doing unnecessary work and overcharging me. They are very competent. I trust them as my mechanics.

Took me in right away. Super fast, $18 for a patch, and better advice than the Goodyear tires down the street. Nice guy.
Just got to make sure you pull into the tiny lot on the side street, not in the lot on Western.

I just called this place to get a quote and the receptionist was "extremely" rude. She gave me an attitude and said" We don't give quotes over the phone, and we are closed anyways". Okay? How about you learn some customer service skills before sitting next to a phone and adjusting your tone of voice and attitude. "Why you gotta be so rude" "Don't you know I'm human too" ughh!

My go to mechanic because the place across the street just couldn't get it right with my bmw. Had to keep taking it back for same problem they claimed they would fix. My car was making noises in tire area. G & R diagnosed problem and fix it right the first time and I received same day service. They really know cars. My car hasn't driven so smooth a while. Oh and I saved 35% on price plus had a $10 coupon. I take my car here now and am always satisfied.
