Salt Air Cafe is located on the south shore of Long Island in the seaside town of Point Lookout, NY. We are a casual counter-style farm-to-table establishment serving wholesome, soulful food. We love food and freshness and we care about seasonality and the manner in which our food is produced.
We are wholeheartedly committed to sourcing farm fresh ingredients that are nitrate, nitrite, hormone, pesticide and GMO-free as well as providing complete transparency in all that we serve.We're convinced that it's our farm fresh local eggs that has people coming back for more, but our homemade muffins and scrumptious assorted baked goods are a big factor too.

Salt Air Cafe is proud to offer a menu that consists of as much local, organic and sustainably raised ingredients as the seasons allow. Our eggs are mainly provided by North Fork Egg Farm, a Long Island Farm, located in Southhold, NY. Their hens are fed certified organic grain, are humanely raised and have never been caged.

Currently on a restaraunt tour that consist of New York City, Nassau and Suffolk county. Quaint, peaceful and unassuming, so I didn't know what to expect. The customer service was both friendly and engaging. That having been said, if you're looking for food that's both comforting and flavorful, this place is a keeper and is now in my top 10 dinning experiences.

I love this place. I hope it stays for a very long time. I've visited a few times and each meal that I've had is delicious! It's not run-of-the-mill ordinary fair, but rather interesting variations that are delightful. The food is fresh. The bread is home baked and scrumptious. Service is good. The owner is on sight and she has a caring, welcoming personality. I like ordering food inside and sitting at a table in front under an umbrella. It feels like vacation at home!

This place was hands down on our top 5 of places we have reviewed. Salt Air Cafe just has its unique menu were the food is so fresh you feel like its your grandma in the kitchen making you some Sunday breakfast! I visit this marvelous restaurant often since I enjoy the ambiance that is part of this place. The personel is very cordial and experienced. The service is pretty efficient. Most important, the food you eat is perfect. I have been there more than once and I was always joyful. The cost is fair. I highly recommend this restaurant to to all.
