What you need to know about us is creating a good dining experience is personal to us. There are lots of good restaurant choices on long Island. It is a mecca for all types of food. We separate Margarita's Cafe from the rest of the pack because of our attention to detail. From the opening of our first restaurant, we worked to create an atmosphere that takes you away from the mundane.

Gonna have to give tonight's visit only 3 stars. I wanted to give 2 but bc this place has been a go to for us I'll bump it up. For some reason the place was empty on a Friday evening, a few ppl scattered around at tables, only 3 ppl at bar. Upon entering we were advised that we must be done in 90 minutes. Awkward! Especially when the restaurant was empty. Signs hung around the restaurant said the same. I planned to have my usual margarita especial, which I love. I did not even order a drink bc I felt rushed, like I could not have time to enjoy it. So no drink for me. Thankfully I had

This was one of our favorite local spots. We've been here numerous times and gained familiarity with the staff. But then... there was a mishap with our meals. My meal was brought out with a certain ingredient that I requested to not have. The bartender was on top of it and sent the meal right back. When my plate came back it was a completely different meal that I didn't ask for. So after that they had to send that back to the kitchen and my date's plate got cold in the meantime. Once it came back out It didn't seem like what I asked for. I ate the meal regardless. His dish was still cold. At the

The food was good the service is just ok I noticed that if you are a party of 3 or smaller they don't pay attention to you . My sister and I had to keep flagging my waiter down for basic things like a refill on soda I asked for a beer never got it but all the big parties got everything they wanted and didn't need to flag no one. That's a turn off would I come back maybe but when there's no one there so I can get the service lost for.

So my man and I were eating our food mind you already had a few bites, when I look on my fork and there was a bug in my food. Our meal was comped yes and our waitress was absolutely amazing, but still not something you want to see on your plate when it wasn’t specified in the menu lol. But other then that servers are great atmosphere was great the bug in my food…. Not so great

Had a great time now that things are opening back up, food was great! Music was cool they had a live mariachi band playing in dining room. We both had empanadas and ultimate nachos both were great! Only small thing was the red sangria was a bit strong...didnt care much for it...tres leches cake was AMAZING! Absolutely get a slice if you go! Great work all! We will be back!

I was hoping to grab a late evening bite and didn't know if they were open and still taking customers after 9:00pm but to my surprise not only were they opened but practically packed to capacity (Covid distancing rules in place). We were told that we had to wait an hour to get seated but as we were about to leave I spotted two empty spots at the bar and asked it we could take it. Thankfully the hostess said jump right on and we did. We had a delicious Cancun Margarita as well as tostones rellenos, carnitas asadas and quesadillas. All very delicious. I have come here several times, its alway a fun time! The food is delicious and the staff is always so nice, respectful, and fun. It can get crowded very easily but I feel like that's just because of how popular this spot is. Last time I went I went with some girlfriends and we sat at the bar, the bar tender was a sweetheart. We decided to get dessert after and it definitely hit the spot!

One of the few Mexican restaurants that is authentic and fabulous. I love this place!! This place is perfect in regards to ambiance, food, value and hospitality. It is located inside a shopping plaza therefore ample parking space that is free of charge. My best friend chose Margarita's cafe for her birthday shenanigans and we all enjoyed every second we were here.

The food was delicious, drinks were tasty and strong. We shared the tostones and empanadas.. they were both standard. The combo fajitas platter was well prepared. I had to deduct two stars because they did not adhere to COVID safety measures AT ALL. The place was packed and to top it off they had a mariachi band singing happy birthday every 5 minutes ! Ridiculous.

The place has a Good ambiance but sadly, they really REALLy need to have reservations at least on the weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Waited 1hr 45 minutes to be seated. I Called two days in advance to request a table for 10 however was told the manager would call me back but never received the callback. While waiting, many of the other guests on the list were also complaining of the wait time. A party of 4 waited 1 hour. They really need a reservation to operate at its capacity. Food was good. Drinks were fair.

Ok so here in the middle of this quarantine disaster, the team at Margheritas is still managing to maintain their amazingness.
For the second time, they've sent us over an absolutely outstanding meal hand delivered by none other than awesome manager, Guillermo.
They never cease to impress us with the loving fashion in which they take care of their customers.
Guillermo actually reached out to us, knowing that my wife's condition puts her at high risk for COVID and offered to bring our favorite food to us at home.
These people are so wonderful and we are grateful to God for them

LITERALLY ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE PLACES. I have been many times & it used to be my go to anytime I visited the island before moving here. Now that I am out in Brooklyn any chance I get to come here for dinner I do.
The guacamole is amazing and made right at the table to your preference. The margaritas are amazing (and strong). They have a great brunch deal with a fun champagne punch on the menu.
I ordered for takeout over the weekend and everything was just as good as it would be if we were able to eat in. An added bonus was the take out pitcher of margaritas!

I cant believe its taken me so long to review this place. Most fun I ever have at dinner.

Came here for a bite and a drink with a coworker. We're always looking for happy hour spots in the area. They don't have happy hour here, and the bar seating is limited (and was filled) so we opted for a table. Fun fact, you can also get alcohol at a table. It's reVolUtionAry. I swear. In the spirit, I ordered a white wine spritzer and my coworker I believe snagged herself a passionfruit margarita. It's ladies night on Thursdays and the speciality is $5 margaritas. Very good to know.
