It's always a satisfying meal with my wife here. Only reason it's not a 5 star experience - consistency with the chicken parmigiana being broiled well. Sometimes it's perfect. Sometimes the chicken is a little too dry or cheese burnt. However, it's a great spot.

We ordered 3 pasta dishes, eggplant parmesan and a pizza. Was told 45 minutes to pick up. Got there in 30 minutes and asked a female employee about my order. She told me wait. I stood there 15 minutes and was ignored. In the mean time my order was sitting in front of me getting cold. I guess there is a worker shortage but for $120 my meal was ice cold.

If you’re going here for the first time, order the Penne Saporite. It’s so delicious and if you can finish a whole plate in one sitting, consider yourself a champ. If you’re not a champ (like me), you’ll eat 1/3 of it and take the rest home. Just beware because it may be your go-to dish because now it’s all I order and I haven’t tried anything else on the menu.

I went to Hofstra for undergrad and got lunch at dinner at Cafe Back after years and years. So nostalgic! My boyfriend and I got the Cavatappi Secreto, which was very delicious with the ricotta, and Penne Alfredo, which was a bit bland. Cafe Baci is a great, reliable spot where you know you'll get delicious pasta each time. I mean it's pasta, if you mess up pasta then idk what to do with you.
Portion sizes are huge, we each could only finish half of our pastas. Also love that they give pizza bread as the bread freebie in the beginning. So good. We asked for extra bread towards the end

Where do I start? First time here. Food was amazing, as were the portions. Ambience was cozy with the low lighting. But what stood out for me was the staff. I felt like I was in an exclusive Manhattan restaurant. Our waiter, Westin, was friendly and professional. The manager, Steve, was hands on. He visited every table more than once. All the staff were incredibly attentive, including the bus boys. Our courses came out quickly, but we never felt rushed. I could go on and on about how good Baci is, but you get the idea. Going back next week.!

This is my second visit and it was as just as good as my first impression. The service is snappy. No waiting for me, eating at the bar...a nice granite surface too!
The pasta is amazing and super sized. Tonight i had the Napoli Salad. Yummy and also substantial. The bread has a light tomato glaze plus the olive oil dip and ground pepper is a plus.
I'll be back when I'm in town. Very enjoyable.

I don't know what to say about this place tbh. As much as I wanna say I love it I can't. The service was great and the COVID rules were in play. Dividers between tables and your utensils given in individual clear bags with a little card to scan for the menu. But the food itself was very dry and bland. I got the chicken Milanese and substitute the mixed greens for potatoes. And to tell you the truth the whole dish lacked flavor. And on top of that it is a pretty pricey place. I would say give it try, maybe they were having an off day. I would give it another chance though

Cafe Baci is one of my "new" favorite restaurants around. I say that in quotes because they have been around for quite some time and I'm just simply late to the party. From the very first moment we walked through the door, they treated us like we were regulars! After exchanging a jokes and laughs, we were immediately whisked over to a fabulous corner table by the windows.
We really brought our appetites that night and ordered the following feast for two:
Mamma Mia: Lasagna, chicken parmigiana & meatballs
Burrata: Creamy mozzarella, tomato, rusted peppers, balsamic glaze

Came here with a friend for a party of 2 on a Sunday afternoon and was offered seating immediately. Shortly after, we were assigned the nicest waiter ever (Jonny) and provided the best service we could ask for.

Surprising perfection. Tommy’s personality at the door made us feel right at home from the start. The home made pastas with their signature vodka and verde sauce (spinach and pesto) are outstanding. Warm, complimentary, house made pizza bread brought to your table. Little Italy in Long Island? Absolutely!!!!

Amazing restaurant. We have been here so many times and have never been disappointed. The food is good , staff are friendly and courteous and the atmosphere is a family like setting.
Must mention that the main courses are served Family Style. Meaning they are meant to be shared. Each Dj Dj can easily serve 2 persons.

Stumbled upon this place while shopping in Long Island. It is super packed, and now I know why. Hospitality is so great here. Everytime I come, receptionist, server to bus boy are super friendly, attentive and accomodating.
The food is very large portioned, I always end up taking it home. The bread basket is a must, I always ask for more.

On my second visit here I had a much better experience. Attentive service, arriving early and less crowds greatly contributed to that. The portions are huge. Each entree could easily fill up 2 people so keep this in mind if you're on a budget. All the dishes were wonderfully made and were a refreshing break from the mainstream franchise restaurants. The warm pizza bread given at the outset of the meal was my favorite item but I didn't want to fill up on it so I didn't order extra. There were three of us dining and enjoyed a delicious plate of lasagna with a full bodied red sauce, roasted chicken with crispy skin but ever so moist meat, and a yummy dish of chicken, sausage, potatoes, green beans, and onions. This establishment has been around the neighborhood for man years on that very busy corner of Old Country Road and Merrick Avenue. I think that I ended up passing by it more times than I can remember and it always seem like a very high end place to me.
Nowadays I have been eating less around Long Island but recently a friend of mine had eaten at this restaurant and had good things to say about it. The reservation slots for this particular establishment tend to close up rather quickly, due in part to the restricted indoor dining capacity and its popularity as this place is very highly rated.

Had lunch here a couple of weekends ago with 3 buddies. They take reservations and I read up on their COVID protocols, so felt safe dining inside here. Upon walking in, I noticed it was not very packed and that tables on the perimeter of the restaurant were separated by partitions, so our group of 4 had not only distance from other tables but physical separation as well.
