JTR just started managing my building last month and I already have so many bad experiences with them. I have been in my apartment for a year and a half now and before these people started managing, things were great. But I really do not call my home a home anymore. It is basically just a burden….
1-Office is literally never open. They change their location a lot and never updated us of their new address in the new landlord notice. It took me driving around to 5 different places to find them. I’ve had to go in 3 times just this month and their office is always closed.

Tried to charge my roommates and me $85 each for cleaning when we moved out even though we cleaned the place adequately. The management was really frustrating and unfair when I tried to talk to them about it. I don’t recommend them because it seems like they’re interested in taking as much as your deposit as they can. Overall I was disappointed.

Avoid this place. Maintenance is slow and repeatedly marks items as repaired when they don’t even show up at the apartment. They charge you $200 to clean carpets, whether the carpets are dirty or not, and the carpets are dirty when you move in. They charged me $40 to clean out drawers, and I have photographic evidence that the drawers are spotless. Clearly, they are just interested in taking your deposit. They also charge a cleaning fee. So they charge to clean, and they charge a cleaning fee on top of taking away your deposit money. Also, the apartment that I rented had secured gatedParking

I have read several interesting reviews. I don't know how people can move into a very old basement apartment and then complain about things like humidity on the walls. Really? If you don't like it, don't move into an old basement. (This is just one example.). Tenants forget that they have to keep their side of the contract; they forget that they have responsibilities as well as the landlords.

This company bought the small duplex we lived in. Even though the tenant beside me had lived there for five years and we had lived there for four they raised the rent and gave us a single week to decide if we were going to sign their contract or move out by the end of the month. That only gave us a week to find a new apartment and get accepted or risk not having a home to live in or sign their 15 month contract. I asked if there could be lenience in the contract length since we wanted to buy a house later this year and didn’t want to be stuck for 15 months but their only option was to sign a

My fiancée and I were pretty stressed trying to find a first apartment after our summer wedding. We saw some units for rent at Heritage Court and sent a request to tour them. Scott, the landlord, was very fast to return our calls and messages. He gave us an awesome tour and answered all our questions! After viewing the units he showed us other available units online. We felt very good about the management and the site!

I've lived at my home for about 5 months now and so far everything has been good! I've had a couple of maintenance issues and they have helped me out every single time in a timely manner. It wasn't the next day which I was hoping it would be when it comes to emergencies but for the most part it hasn't been too bad. The maintenance staff is really nice and polite as well!
UPDATE: I would like to change my review from 4 to 5 stars because over all renting from Joseph Thomas Real Estate I’ve had a great experience. Sometimes it’s not always the properties fault that maintenance doesn’t want

We lived here for two years and just moved out due to summer plans. They have new management and staff, everyone has been so helpful. We strived to be good tenants, and in return, they were great landlords! A few things went wrong with our apartment, and they either replaced it or fixed it. I would live there again! Also, friendly neighbors! The barbecue in the back! Scott is the guy in the office, and he’s a great dude!

My husband and I have really enjoyed living here! We've been here for about 2 years, and our apartment is small, but very nice. The maintenance men have always been quick to respond whenever we needed something fixed. We're really excited about the new manager Scott, because when he came in the pet policy was updated and they now allow cats and certain breeds of dogs. So we're looking into getting a cat soon!
