Five stars isn’t good enough!

My son brought his bicycle in and the guy wanted to charge him $200 for things he did not need such as new tires and a new chain. He said No thanks and we took it to Castle Hill Bike shop near my house and they charged !79.99 and said the chain only needed to be lubricated, not changed and that there was nothing wrong with the tires. It did need a front tube and other minor wor Burt it only cost $79.99 to repair.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Merrick Bicycles. I had such a wonderful first time experience just now . The place, presentation, products, people, and professional service are all so perfect. "Warren" greeted me & explained and even chi-chatted with me on leaving . "Scott" stopped what he was doing to work on my bike. "Art" pleasantly welcomed me and rang me up. My fixed gear bike has seen better days so I brought it in a couple ago for a major tune up. It cost $350 as they had to replace a couple things. It felt pretty steep but it's been a few years since it's been tuned, so I figured what the heck. The only thing that irked me a bit was not being given any sort of walk through of the bike during the hand off. It was basically 'thanks for paying, here's your back back, see ya.' No big deal, just a minor pet peeve of mine.

Great customer service and kind people but some of their prices are crazy, $55 for a Bike Rack that had a main component piece easily come off simply from riding a bike too fast or on a lot of bumps

I stopped by this morning hoping to get a tire repaired. Staff could not have been nicer. Tire was repaired and I was on my way in 20 minutes. Very fair price. Will definitely be back.

After 20 years I decided to purchase a bicycle! I suppose life gets in the way of the things you enjoy. Without getting too into my feelings, I searched everywhere for a Trek Marlin 6 (M/L). I went to a Trek bike shop and the wait time was 3 months. I didn't want the summer to go by so I kept searching. Sadly, it wasn't in-stock anywhere in the tristate area. I finally found one at Merrick Bicycles. I placed an order over the phone and the next day it was ready! Their customer service and offerings are wonderful. I drove all the way from Jersey and am glad I did. Look at my beautiful bike people

I bought two bicycle adapters so I can put my bikes on my bike rack. I also had the mechanic fix my brakes. Overall, it was a positive experience.

This place is way over priced! Don't waist your money.
After spending $1100 on a bicycle 2 years ago and having it serviced not even 2 weeks ago, the chain broke .I bought a new one and they want to charge me another $20 to put it on. What a joke.
I understand people need to make a living but if you have loyal customers you should keep them happy. They're number one priority certainly isn't the customer.

Just stopped in for the first time to purchase a newer more updated bike for my son so he can ride for the summer. The staff is so friendly and helpful. He also helped fit a nice helmet for him.

These guys are amazing. No pressure. I walked in to get SE bikes for my son and daughter. They couldn't be more accommodating. The store owners Mike and Dan are extremely friendly and professional. They know their product and give great service.

Put money on a bike and knew it would be about a month but now its 3 months and I've been told the guy will give bikes to people who are in the neighborhood and bypass anyone who was on the list. This is completely unprofessional. Avoid any place that doesn't run like an honest business because its just a matter of time till they screw you. Maybe I didn't give money under the table. Not going to happen. I'll update this if anything changes. Plus this was for my son's Birthday back in July. Thats just total abuse!

$145 for a tune up? My car getting a tune up is cheaper. I could understand for a Carbon fiber $2000 and up bike but I just needed my kids Schwinn fixed. I'd pay $145 for tune up parts and installation. Oh well. Bring $$$$ because that's all they care about.

Place is joke. Went in to get my bike serviced. I was waiting for several minutes and no one would acknowledge me. Someone walked in after me and got immediate service. I was totally ignored.

I brought my bike to fix a flat. I called them and asked if they do that today. The gentleman said yes, but there's a outdoor line that will probably be a half hour. That's no big deal. It was 3:45 and they close at 6, so I figured they want to get out of there for the day, they'll push out the customers. I brought my bike and was on the line for over 90 minutes. One worker came out and asked two customers besides myself if we wanted to drop off the bike. We all said if we were asked an hour ago, we'd consider it. They had two workers in the repair shop. Needed a bike repair, sent them a message to set up a day when I could swing by and drop it off. They responded and told me to come by Weds. I show up Weds. and the person running the shop says Sorry but they are closed today and Thursday and can't take it. Strange, but OK, we are in a pandemic and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt with everything going on. He says don't worry though, come by around 9am on Friday and someone will take a look at it for you. Sounds fair enough. Many thanks to the repair shop this afternoon to evaluate the risks developing on my bike from normal use and explain how to get the bike to run smoother. One safety exposure was eliminated on the spot. I will return to fix the rest when able. Thanks for continuing to be the role model merchant your shop is. See you again soon.

I purchased a MAY 1 bike from Merrick Bikes, the owner Mike was a friendly professional person. When I make another bike purchase, I'll buy from here.

All in all, a great local bike shop. These guys stock premium products (e.g., Pinarello, BMC and ENVE) and have the service to match.

Chris -- master mechanic, Serotta certified fitter, overall hoss -- is a wizard. There is no one else I would trust to work on my bike babies. He performs everything from consultations and fittings to bike builds. Pretty much a one man army when it comes to cycling. I have seen him revive some, well loved (guilty as charged), rigs. Rest confident that whatever you throw his way, you will be leaving happy at the end of the day.
