Milltown Family Physicians (MFP) is a primary care office with longstanding roots in the community that offers a progressive healthcare home. Milltown Family Physicians was formed in 1980, when Dr. John Miller began a solo practice in Wooster. In 1991, shortly after the current Milltown Professional Building was completed, Dr. Amy Jolliff joined his practice.
In the 1990's an addition to the professional building was completed and is the current location of the practice. Three new physicians joined, including Dr. Christopher B. Ranney and Dr. Eric A. Smith in 2007 and Dr. Paul R. Nielsen in 2010, bringing the practice to a five-physician group. Dr. John Schinner joined the practice in 2017, while Dr. Miller officially retired in 2019.

Patients are requested to apply to become part of our practice (New Patient Intake). Once accepted, we require all completed paperwork (Accepted New Patient) to be brought to the appointment or dropped off in advance of the visit. This ensures the highest quality care and helps develop the patient-doctor relationship that we value.

Doctor Schinner is an EXCELLENT Doctor! I have been seeing him for almost a year now. He is very kind, caring, and concerned about his patients. The front staff is courteous and friendly. Wendy, Doctor Schinner's nurse is so sweet. I would recommend him to anybody who is looking for a doctor that actually cares about his patients.

I saw Dr. Miller there as a follow up hospital visit, and was pleased with the staff & facility. Not sure if they're going through a transitional phase with the desk staffing, but I tried to make an appt. as a new patient for 2 weeks. I just kept getting told I'd get called back, & still never have recieved one. Good thing Comprehensive Internal Medicine beside them got me in and discovered the severity of my health issues & got me medicine & helped me find specialists for follow ups right away. I wouldn't be so displeased until I discovered how serious my issue really was/is.

If you can help it don't go there, do not use Dr Nielson at all. Worst doctor I HAVE ever seen. I had diabetes and didn't realize it, Dr Nielson DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO READ LAB RESULTS CORRECTLY. I told him, several times I do not feel well. They kept telling me every thing was normal. I went there to see him for an 11:30 am appointment, sat for over half an hour, asked receptionist what was going on, was told at 12:15 pm he couldn't see me until 1:30 pm could I come back, I said no I can't. He refused to see me until 1:30 pm. I told receptionist I will never come back again. I found another doctor
