Despite doing yoga and regular exercise for 20+ years I developed a chronic lower back problem that continued to worsen for 2 years causing a lot of pain. I had seen my medical doctor, chiropractor and a fascia specialist with no real results and was feeling discouraged until I was referred to Victoria at Ironhorse. I started physical therapy a couple months ago for TMJ. Right away, I noticed my condition improving. I first came to Ironhorse PT and Pilates after a diagnosis of AVN and a recommendation of total replacement of both hips. One surgeon advised me that my only alternative to surgery was a cane and pain medication. Surgery frightened me. I did go to an in-network physical therapist who was nice, but I still had pain. So I started talking to everyone I knew and others I didn't, that's how I discovered Ironhorse. About 4 months later, I was walking without pain. Now several years later, I'm still pain free with a wide range of motion in both hips. I can't convey the gratitude I feel.

I had severe back pain after my second delivery which stopped me from doing my regular chores. I would like to thank Victoria for analyzing the root cause of my back pain and also guiding me by providing various strengthening exercises for me to do at home. After doing the exercises for weeks, I feel much better now. The best thing about Victoria is that she explains and encourages the patients to do the exercises regularly which helps them in the long run rather than temporarily removing the pain. I highly recommend her place.

Thanks to Victoria, I'm back to running without nagging knee pain. Originally thought my knee was the primary issue, but Victoria was able to pinpoint my real issue to my back and weak core. After weeks of strengthening exercises, my knee pain has subsided and I have started running again. Thank you!

A quick note to say thank you to Victoria Liu at Ironhorse PT and Pilates for helping to rehab my Achilles.
I am a long-time triathlete and have completed over 20 Ironman events over the years.  I’ve been really lucky to stay fairly injury-free.  There have been a couple of self-induced bike crashes, but they don’t count :).
In June of this year, I started feeling some mild discomfort in and around my Achilles.  I dialed down my running and tried my luck at Dr. Google for a while. By early August it was starting to bother me more and I began to take the injury a little more seriously

Victoria is amazing to work with. I had developed sciatica at the age of 27 and after almost a year of going to a chiropractor, Occupational therapist and physical therapy programs. I could not exercise, limited mobility and lack of sleep due to the pain. I saw little to no improvement to my injury. I was in chronic nerve pain and was a negative daily impact on my life. Victoria does a very detailed assessment to put you on the correct plan on the road to recovery. After 8 weeks I have seen major improvement. I can't praise Victoria and her Team enough for all they have done to help me with the issues I've struggled with over the past 4 years. My list was long when I first met with Victoria, starting with Vertigo, TMJ, painful hips and horrible back pain. I spent more that a year going to the "referred" Physical Therapists which resulted in frustration and a true waste of my time.
Thankfully, a co-worker gave me Victoria's contact and the rest is history.

I reached out to Iron horse PT after several years of frustrating. I'm a long time athlete, but had stopped running for a few years and wanted to get back into it. However, when I started running again I had significant left hip pain that would turn into calf pain which would cause me to stop. I have ad PT previously for other ailments, so I tried some different things to manage it myself and took some time off to work on it. When I tried again, I still had the pain and would need to stop running.

I wanted to take a few minutes to let folks know about Iron Horse Physical Therapy. I happened upon Victoria because I was unhappy with the traditional physical therapy I have had before. You know, the kind where they give you a session a week while they treat the symptoms but not the actual problem itself?
Its true that Victoria does not take insurance but she does have a service that helps you submit for reimbursement. People spend a lot on restaurants, vacations, etc. spend a little bit on yourself to be not only pain free, but gain mobility and peace of mind about injuries and exercise. You

Back in 2014 and 2015, I injured my back and had to deal with sciatica which was caused by L3 pinch on my vertebra. It took an epidural shot into my spine to take the pain away and that is when I started physical therapy.
The injury was probably caused by tightness in my legs and not stretching enough prior and after multiple 5 to 10K hill races. I had taken Victoria Liu's Pilates reformer classes and decided to see her for PT sessions to get my body back to being strong again.

I recommend Victoria and team unreservedly. I was told 15 years ago by doctors that I should never run again. I had a really debilitating sciatica and was bed ridden and drug loaded for months to recover. Years after the incident I would try running and feel the tinge of sciatic pain and never wanted to chance it. Two years ago I decided to give it another go. I got some tinges but decided to see what would happen if I kept going and pushed though. It got better! I decided to try for a half marathon. I didn't follow any specific program but I got there and finished in sub 1.50 in the SF Half

Gigi has really helped me get past the external knee pain I had associated with improper running form and weak glutes. After having been to other PTs in the area, I feel really taken care of with her expertise, ART massage, and strengthening exercises. Victoria Liu is the best out there. She is an incredible PT who walks the walk, talks the talk. I trust her implicitly. I am a triathlete and have struggled with unresolved knee pain (that moves from knee to foot and back to knee) for years. I made an appointment at IronHorse PT 2 months ago and was able to get in right away. I saw GiGi. All of her PT's are an extension of her! SO if you can't get Victoria, trust you are stll getting the same expertise. A very comprehensive assessment concluded that it wasn't my knee at all, it was my calves and glutes that were weak on that side

I've been wanting to work with kettlebells for a while now, but hesitant to jump in without proper instruction. Victoria's Kettlebell 101 workshop was exactly what I needed! She explained not only movement and form, but also how those movements should feel. I was thoroughly impressed with Victoria's depth of knowledge and attention to detail.

We took turns doing the exercises with live feedback, invaluable when learning something new. By the end of the workshop, we had all improved our own skills and learned from each other along the way.

Victoria and her team are the best in the area. They were able to accommodate the time I needed to come in and followed up before and after the appointment. I went in with a lot of pain around my right shoulder. I got relief from the pain very quickly and got instructions on what to do outside of the appointment to keep getting better and prevent the issue in the future. It was definitely worth it and I highly recommend them if you want to be pain free and feel your best!

I have been seeing Victoria and Stephanie at Ironhorse PT and Pilates for over two years. I started going to Ironhorse PT and Pilates with a goal to gain better balance and overall core strength. I'm very remiss in writing this review because Victoria Liu helped give me back physical and mental strength after years of ignoring my body. I found Victoria after many weeks of repetitive, non-therapeutic p/t with another provider for neck and low back pain. It wasn't until I went into spasms and had a bout of sciatica that I knew I had to try a change. I saw Victoria after I had my 2nd child and was trying to get my body back to pre-pregnancy shape. She did a great overall assessment and was very helpful in giving me tips to strengthen my core as well as what NOT to do. I started seeing Stephanie in a semi-private Pilates class and that was fantastic. Her classes were always tailored to strengthening the whole body, and we never had the same exercises back to back. During my second pregnancy, I was diagnosed with Diastasis Recti (DR), abdominal muscle separation. I had a big "mummy tummy" which made it look like I was 5 months pregnant even after giving birth. This was a big deal for me since I have a petite frame. My doctor said that I can get a "tummy tuck" surgery and I was so upset to hear that. I wanted to see if I could rehabilitate myself through exercise instead of surgery. I contacted Victoria Liu and she said that she had worked with DR clients before and she also had it herself when she was pregnant. This was very reassuring

Victoria Liu is a well educated and highly trained physical therapist. She cares for her clients and makes an extra effort to come up with solutions to their problems that will work for them.

I have known her for over five years, and frankly I don't know of any physical therapist who is more knowledgeable. She is sincere and available to her clients.
