Dealing with anxiety on a daily basis can leave an individual feeling lost, alone, and thoroughly rattled. An anxiety disorder is truly manifested when it impacts our lives, changing the way we interact with the world as well as the people within it. While it is normal to feel anxious at times, it isn't normal to feel this way to the point that we are overwhelmed.
Most conservative estimates suggest that bipolar disorder impacts roughly 2.6% of the American population, equating to nearly 5.7 million fully grown adults. The average onset for bipolar disorder is 25-years-old, though this figure is far from set in stone. Individuals concerned for a potential bipolar disorder diagnosis can find help, support, and key insight through the team at Wellness Psychiatry.
Dealing with thyroid problems can lead to a range of physical and mental symptoms that can make life difficult, to say the least. Amanda saw my daughter for her first psychiatric appointment. Amanda felt we should get lab work done based on my daughters symptoms. After receiving the labs she referred us to a hematologist. We are so thankful for Amanda, as it turns out my daughter has a blood disorder that would have been life threatening if left untreated. My daughter no longer sees Amanda because her mental health improved as soon as we treated the blood disorder, however we’ve referred many others to her.
