Great atmosphere and fine selection of food entrees and appetizers. I was there twice and had a pleasant experience both times. Looking forward to going back again and again! Highly recommended.

Our server was very friendly and personable. We had a party of 8, which may have contributed to the lengthy wait time and order errors..
But overall, the food was good.. the oysters were very fresh and delicious.. the scallops were cooked perfectly and were seasoned pretty good.
The lemon drop martini is divine!!!
I'd go back again. Especially in oyster night...

Great experience. Have been wanting to try this restaurant for years, glad we did. King crab was delicious, salmon dish and scallops were equally as good. I like that they tried different flavor on the plates as sauces (purées) and they fit very well. Calamari which is not pictured was good as well; also with a sauce I didn’t expect but liked. The Brussels sprouts were sent back...I didn’t like the flavor combinations or that they were so charred. Dessert was okay, even though I ate it all lol. We had the puff pastry with the cream filling with strawberries and passion fruit. It only came

My husband and I was on a late night drive when we stumbled upon Blu's restaurant. We were initially hesitant to go. I checked the menu options and we decided to give it a try.
I decided to make a reservation on open table
after observating tthe parking lot and the outside patio. Both appeared to be very busy and full.
I walked into the restaurant and was greeted immediately by a host who inquired if I had a reservation. My husband and I was sat instantly.
Once sat we was greeted by our server Toni. Toni, was full of life and eager to be of service to us. We asked lots of questions about different

Dined at Blu last night for our anniversary. Food, atmosphere, and service were great. Maybe the best meal we've had in Cleveland. We were attracted by the oysters and bubbles specials, but ordered several small plates, too. We honestly could not pick a favorite. Mussels, shrimp falafel, and crab cake pierogi were bursting with flavor. Cannot say enough good things about the evening.

I understand that the chef is relatively new and all I can say is, we're praying he stays! In a place (East Side) not known for a lot of inventive dining (Zhug notwithstanding!) they are taking a big swing and currently hitting a home run. Octopus was amazing, mussels were spot-on, shrimp falafel was creative and excellent, crab cake pierogi was killer, scallops were great. Even the desserts were good.

We sat inside - service was very good; they still had some covid precautions which were fine with us. Looking forward to trying the patio. We asked to speak to the chef and he was a humble

Fish was mad tasty. Hella flavor. The staff was lowkey weird lol. But overall fun experience. I suggest trying the oysters. They split the style of oysters into west coast and east coast and you can definitely taste the difference. I had the swordfish which was was decent. My gf had the salmon which was packed with flavor. If your not sure what to get go for the salmon. Drinks were really good too. My gf got the sake and it had a lot of flavor. I had their signature dish which had very a subtle smokey taste too it. In conclusion, get the oysters, Salomon and the sake drink

This review is from my wife as she is the one that went with her friends to celebrate someone's birthday. "The food is sub-par and overpriced, service was slow and horrible (her friend posted a separate review that gave it 1-star as well). If this place is trying to replace Moxie (prior restaurant), it falls way short. It really needs to pick up its game or this space will be looking for a new tenant'

Horrible service, actually walked dirty plates crowding our table to the bar myself. Mediocre food, totally overpriced, had to ask for things more than once, overcharged on our bill, totally squished in booth with no room for your feet. Oysters were attached to the bottom shell and no oyster forks given. All of them not just one or two. First and last time.

So good to see a local anchor pull a transformation. Trust the staff and Chef. We had the whole branzino and it was cooked perfectly and the sauce was the perfect compliment. Bravo chef and staff!

My wife, our friend and I had dinner May 18, 2021 and had a wonderful time. We ate on the patio, which is expansive and shaded. It was covered and also had heaters if needed. It was quiet and tables were spread out. Exactly what we wanted!

We had a variety of tasting from the raw bar part of the menu and from the small plates section as well. We ate "Tapas" style so we all had a chance to taste our total of 6 choices. The ceviche was unique and very tasty. The tuna crudo was outstanding! It was served with truffled edamame, sesame and garlic. We also enjoyed a plate of mussels

We’ve been going to Blu since they opened and I’m so glad they’ve re-opened for in person dining.
After over a year of not eating in a restaurant, my husband and I decided that now that we’re fully vaccinated… that we’d celebrate our anniversary at Blu and the meal and service did not disappoint!
Food was exceptional and the service was wonderful. They’re taking all precautions and are very attentive to safety.

We had reservations and were seated soon as we entered! I liked the fact there were clear space dividers Strong all tables an cubes. Our waitress was prompt an on top of service. My First drink was delicious a Strawberry Fizz, The second one tasted different, not good was much stronger! I ordered for an Appetizer the Krunch Roll which was good.. I opted for the Salmon Entree which first time having Cauliflower rice which was actually delicious, except for the peas😖 consider removing those! My Salmon was soft an cooked to perfection tender to the slice and melted in my mouth. I couldn’t not

Blu seems to be underrated! Just ordered the Poke Bowl and Salmon with cauliflower rice through DoorDash. Both were fantastic - my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. Will definitely order from here again! Thanks for the healthy food options too @Blu!

I read in (Cleveland) Scene Magazine that Blu would be hosting a taco "pop-up" in collaboration with Painesville's famous La Casita restaurant. What should have been fabulous was a flop.

Social distancing is supposed to prevail yet Blu showed only minimal effort to comply. Yes the tables were distanced and there were no menus but customers jammed up at the counter to place orders with no regard to others. Only half of the employees wore masks. The patio has two distinct portals; why didn't they label one ENTRANCE and the other EXIT? The unmasked hostess handled my credit

The decors and surrounding are pretty nice. The place is very artsy. The food was very average to me. It was like the food you got from a school cafeteria. It's not bad but not great. I got their special the halibut. There was something missing from the dish (the wow factor). Although it was good, I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to. The ceviche and fried potatoes were delicious. However, their trout pate was a bit weird. There was nothing really memorable about the place.

This place looks a lot nicer than it is. The food prices are pretty high for the quality I felt I got. The fish and chips was average. It came out hot but very oily and not well presented. I also got a lavender lemonade which was very tart and didn't taste at all of alcohol.

It was quiet and easy to converse. But the waitress we had was not impressive. She did not know the specials or how to be polite while serving. I was not impressed.

From opening night when I visited I feel the food and staff quality have gone down big time.

Amazing experience and dining. The interior is beautiful and the raw bar a sight when entering. Our server was friendly and efficient and very informative. We had tuna tartar and ceviche to start our meal and, while I preferred the tuna, both were delicious. My husband got the lobster thurmidor which was huge and delicious. I had the scallops which were tasty and perfectly prepared and, while I was not sure about the mushroom pudding when reading it on the menu it was amazing! My husband ordered the eggplant fries which I didn't think I would like, but I did. Definitely recommend!

Blu just opened for Sunday brunch and what an offering they have for everyone! The avocado and eggs were perfectly prepared with crispy fingerling potatoes. The smoked salmon was homemade and delicious. A special treat was the veal stuffed peppers and egg. Excellent! Homemade fluffy pancakes, bacon and strawberry pastry with strong coffee and Bloody Mary’s insured we would be satisfied for the rest of the day.

Extremely impressed with Moxies makeover into Blu! The decor is very modern and the raw bar that greets you as you enter the dining room displays just how fresh the seafood really is!

We were super impressed with each of the 3 ceviches, but were really impressed by the aji Amarillo octopus ceviche, it really had a great punch of citrus and heat! The scallop with peach ceviche was really awesome as well!

The blood orange vinegarette salmon crudo was full of flavor and the salmon was so fresh and tasty!

We tried each of the 4 daily oysters and loved the house Bloody Mary cocktail minnionette

This is a brand new place that opened up in beachwood. It used to be the old moxies. My husband and I are always looking forward to trying new places and despite reviews we decided to check it out ourselves.

When we arrived there was plenty of parking which was a plus. Next plus was that the place looked beautiful on the inside and clean as well and did not have a weird smell to if which most seafood places have which was also a plus.

1st negative for me immediately was when the lady at the front told us that there was a 3 dollar per person cake cutting fee. I'm from New York and never
