Inspect It Like A Girl has been serving the Jackson Metro area since 2003. Our owner, ASHI Certified Home Inspector Pam Pybas, discovered that she was getting much of her referral business because she was a woman with a reputation for detail.
Understanding that purchasing a home can be stressful, Pam's goal has been to simplify the inspection process from the time the appointment is made until the inspection report is written and delivered to the client.Our commitment to our clients doesn't end when the inspection is over. An independent review of your home to identify maintenance or safety concerns, and/or areas to monitor. Opportunity to have any and all issues that are covered by your Builder's Warranty documented in writing in an easy to read report to ensure your issues are resolved under that warranty. For a modest fee we will ensure the work you pay for is done correctly and that corners are not cut.
Investors may not need or want our full inspection services. We offer A La Carte options that allow the investor to pick and choose what we are inspecting. Thermal Imaging allows us a non-invasive, non-destructive way of evaluating conditions below the surface that may not be visible by the naked eye.
A home inspection consists of a visual inspection of all the major components of a home. Items included in the inspection are structural components, roofing, roof and foundation ventilation, insulation, central air conditioning, heating, plumbing system, electrical systems, exterior, garage, interiors, venting systems, built-in kitchen appliances, and recall alert information.

I was very pleased with the company's social distancing policy that allowed a safe inspection in a timely manner. Their customer service skills during appointment set up and the virtual walk through were excellent. My inspector when above and beyond to alert me of major issues and explain needed repairs/replacements. I am also impressed with the user friendly online system for viewing and creating inspection reports.

After reading the many great reviews I decided to have my home inspection done by Inspect It Like a Girl. I talked to them about the things I really wanted checked and was assured it would be done. When I arrived at the home for the debriefing I was shocked to find out the instructor had broken items in the home to include the garage door by holding it open and breaking an outlet cover. I was then given a multiple page report with several simply false items on it to include stating there was leak under a sink covered by a bag. Inspect it like a girl recently inspected my house. Without getting into too much detail, the inspector started out announcing my stove was broken. Unfortunately, the inspector didn't know what accusimmer meant, and she mistakenly had it functioning so that burner didn't get hot. This caused many problems with the buyer, insisting we purchase a new stove.
Secondly they made a comment about the shingles extending too far over the roof, but they never instructed us where that was or how long the shingles are extended. When my roofer looked at the roof, he commented that they were an inch

Inspect It Like A Girl is awesome. From the beginning, they were knowledgable on the phone and worked with us to get our inspection asap. The inspection report was delivered the same day. The inspection was very detailed -- the very reason why I chose the company was due to the name, expecting attention to detail.
Haylee was awesome. Not only was she detailed, but her knowledge base spanned from roofing to flooring, including electrical and heating and cooling. She even knew the variations in local codes.
We are moving to MS from the northeast, and I am so reassured by this inspection.

Haley did an outstanding and thorough job of my home inspection. I was at the property during the inspection for a spigot repair. Haley took time to speak with me and assisted me with checking the water line while I was there. She even provided a towel for me to remove the silicone I had somehow got all over me. After the inspection, she called and thoroughly went through the report. While going through the report, she double checked items of uncertainty (she had remained at the property while going over the report) and updated the report as necessary. I couldn't imagine another home inspector taking on the daunting task of thoroughly inspection my prospective home.
