Sacred Tattoo is available for custom tattoos by appointment or walk-ins, seven days a week. Walk-in tattoos can be custom designs as well, but we encourage you to make an appointment for large or complex designs.

I've only got two tattoos on my body: my forearms. The first tattoo I got was a meditating astronaut I got at One Shot Tattoo in SF. Loved my tattoo!! The artist was a bit snarky and had a humor that I didn't really like, so I researched tattoo artists in the bay and liked Oey's tattoo at Sacred Tattoo. This place has ALWAYS been rude. Even when they were located on Broadway. I'm convinced it's a requirement from tattoo shops to not answer the phone and to be rude to customers smh lol Here on Yelp it says that the location is open, but when I called Friday no one answered. I really wanted a piercing and I was in the area. I called like 5 times over an hour when finally someone answered and the only reason he answered was because I kept calling. If you're closed, update your information. Don't be rude to potential CUSTOMERS. I'll gladly keep my money and receive services

What can I say? Went to Sacred Tattoo to get a small behind the ear tattoo. Nick Wallin was my artist. Nick did a GREAT job. He's very personable and understanding. I was just getting over a cold and needed to stop a few time to cough. The energy here is from wonderful beings! Everyone just seems so happy and down to earth.
I'll be back in a couple of weeks for a bigger project. I've been coming to Sacred Tattoo for years now. You won't be disappointed!

Wow Sacred Tattoo---after reading 3 other bad reviews about the blond wavy haired girl's bad customer service practices maybe something should be done about it!
I was on my 30 minute lunch break so popped in to buy a nose piercing and encountered the sales clerk (the only one on duty) talking to another customer. Upon seeing me waiting she quickly told me she was with another customer but would be with me shortly so I waited...and waited... It wouldn't have been so bad if she were helping a customer with a purchase but she was talking at length about the nuances of hygenic piercing

Poor service! By the wavy haired blonde piercer!
***this review is strictly off of an attempt to purchase jewelry. Should be simple, right?!
I also tried to give them this feedback in person, but the blonde piercer didn't want to hear it. I know how much yelp reviews can effect a business...maybe you'll be polite to the next customer.

Went to another tattoo shop first, looking to get a small piece on my arm. Was told that it couldn't be done because it was too small for the amount of detail that I wanted, and that no one else would do it. Almost gave in to that but checked in with Justin at Sacred and he said it was definitely feasible. After getting scheduled in and sending over a few ideas, he produced something that was even better than the example I provided. Super stoked about the result. Thanks Justin!

The Hubby and I came through Fri 5/13 to get tattoos - he got a chef skull done by James, and I had 2 doves with a red string done by Oey.
Great new location just around the corner from the old spot - easy to get to, easy to park, quick off/on freeway! Shop is clean; lots of interesting old school flash art adorning the walls. Piercer was hella busy; seemed to be a steady stream waiting for him.
Tattoo artists were professional, personable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Great visible samples of their own work available for you to evaluate. Clean stations, comfortable chairs, great attention

I Love the place and all the staff. They are very experienced and professional. I have been going there for years now. I started off going to see Dee ( the only licensed piercing professional in Oakland) for my piercings then began seeing different tattoo artists for my work. I give them ALL 2 thumbs up.If I had more thumbs to give I would. I have been tatted by Karl, Josh and one more that unfortunately escaped my memory right now.
