We are a female and queer run, gender-inclusive tattoo studio with a solid reputation for treating our clients right. Up to 10 artists with a range of styles and specialties are available to work with you on creating your next (or very first!) piece of skin art.

Androidoh is a Bay Area artist with a background in printmaking, street art, painting, and illustration. Deriving inspiration from cartoons, comics, and animation, he creates colorful characters with a variety of cute, obscure and off beat juxtapositions. While he has tons of flash to choose from, he is available for your designs and open to custom work incorporating his playful and humorous aesthetic.
The name's Britt, short for Brittany T. Genius. I'm a Thirty year old Tattoo Artist, Graphic Designer, Painter, and Illustrator from Coney Island, Brooklyn. I have eleven years experience in tattooing and I really love what I do. My style consists of organic color and fine line detail. Each piece has components of watercolor to create expressive movement that flows with the body.
My name is Filip Fabian, I am 29 years old and I've been tattooing for more than ten years. I've travelled the world with my tattoo machine. I've worked in the most prestigious studios in Australia, Germany, Czech Republic, and UK. Furthermore, I participated in the conventions in Berlin, Prague, Sydney, Melbourne, Krakow and Brno.
With a multinational reputation for innovative design and precision, Idexa specializes in black and color designs, simple lines, going with the flow of the body, geometric patterns and organically inspired tattoos. Idexa has worked in different mediums but finds working on skin exhilarating, as only tattooing allows her to work with unique people, their bodies and stories.
Hourly: $400-$450 Depending on the amount of drawing and designing needed or layout/stenciling on the skin needed. Bands are $450/hr. With 13 years of experience, Michael excels in most styles and specialties of tattooing.

Tattoo was ranked as one of the top parlors
in the City. I had always wanted a tribal
Hawaiian Sea Turtle tattoo so I contacted
Black & Blue Tattoo to see what they could
do. Not only did they have a tattoo artist
who had worked in Honolulu for 5 years, the
tattoo artist personally designed an original
tribal Hawaiian tattoo for me without my
input. The drawing of the tattoo exceeded
my expectations. She had designed a piece
of art. The tattoo took 3 hours

I've had two tattoos at Black & Blue, both done by Idexa. In both cases I had a great conversation discussing what I had in mind, leading to a design I'm happy to have with me for life. The artists at B&B are just that, artists, and they may not be suited to do the work you have in mind--but you can be sure that if they're the right one for you, you'll both know it and they'll do a fantastic job; and if the artist you talk to isn't the right one for your work, they'll tell you, and point you to someone (in the shop or outside of it) who will make you happy.

I had a really great time here with Androidoh/Andrew. I'm incredibly happy with the design he drew, and it's healing up well and looks great. It felt very safe and clean, and I would definitely go back for more work. A great value, too!

I got my tattoo from F. Fabian. My wife introduced me to him cause she liked his colors. I loved giving him my idea and having him listen to me when we met in person. I felt he cared about the piece and making sure I was happy. In the pictures you can see how his art evolved with my input and desires. I’m in love with the final product, thank you!

I had a great experience at Black and Blue -- one of my best at any tattoo shop, and I've been to over 15 at this point. The crew was extremely welcoming and helpful when I arrived, the check-in process was a breeze, and the waiting area was comfortable and calming.
My actual tattoo experience was also exceptional! Mariel worked with me to make my ideal design, adjusting it to make sure I was happy with placement and style. She tattooed me quickly and did an absolutely stunning job -- the piece looks even better than the stencils!! She was fast, friendly, and let me listen to music on my phone

I came here for the first time about six months ago to support a friend who got her tattoo from Maggie. The staff was nice and her design came out nice. Going along with her made me think more seriously about getting my first tattoo. I booked an appointment with Sid and he was fantastic. He walked me through the whole process and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole sitting. At some points it was almost relaxing with the classical music in the background. When looking around, I saw this place pop up in my recommendations for tattoo studios in the Bay Area. I had a really good experience, the artists were chilled out and friendly, and there was always positive vibes in there. Jess Koala was the artist who did my tattoo and she's very friendly and great to talk to, her style is weird but wonderful and she made my experience that much better. To conclude, I would totally recommend Black & Blue if you're in the SF Bay Area anytime soon.
