Dr. Dobecki and the San Diego Pain Institute specialize in the treatment of all chronic pain disorders including: chronic low back pain, chronic neck pain, post-laminectomy pain syndrome/failed back surgery syndrome, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, and complex regional pain syndrome.

All fees, including co-payments and co-insurance payments, are due at the time of service. Payment is accepted in the form of cash, major credit card, or CareCredit. If you miss your appointment or cancel your appointment without advanced notice, it may prevent Dr. Dobecki from helping other patients in need.

LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A PAIN SPECIALIST, THIS IS NOT YOUR GUY! I went to see Dr. Dobecki's office because I have been dealing with a back injury and back pain for many of years. In going to his office, I was told to start with a steroid shot, likely that would help with the pain for a few months. Shortly after I went to Sharp to have the injection done, and nothing. The pain was still there, and my back felt no relief. After another month had passed and the pain did not subside, it was suggested to me that I go in for a two-step process. First step, to have a numbing shot done that mimicked what

My first visit to San Diego Pain Institute was problem-free! Every member of the staff was so polite and accommodating.
I was given all the information I needed and the Physician's Assistant, Michael, who evaluated me was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me in terms that I could understand easily. I will be going back to get injections in my hip joints. Will post more after that.
So far A+.

I have been a patient for almost 3 years and I am so grateful to have been referred to them. I suffer from a connective tissue disorder that causes frequent dislocations and I tear ligaments easily. At the age of 31, I have the body of an 80 year old. Both hips need replacing, my knees, shoulders-- everything is destroyed. Dr. Dobeki and all of his PA's have been great- minus the last one Larisa whom isn't working with the practice anymore..she seemed to think all I needed to do was exercise more and my genetic condition would magically go away.. I do PT and yes, strengthening my muscles

I liked Dr. Dobecki and think he does good work, but dealing with the San Diego Pain Institute is .... well, a pain. Dobecki's office policy is to check with insurance every time you need another set of pain injections for your knees (etc). According to them, this isn't the insurance company's policy, it's theirs - to minimize their risk against dropped coverage and having to bill customers directly. As a result, you will have to wait an additional month to reschedule your visits. Also, after a few months, they insist on scheduling unnecessary "follow-up" visits

I LOVE Dr. Douglas Dobecki and his company, San Diego Pain Institute. I went there due to two issues: lifelong Fibromyalgia, and a broken patella I sustained 5 months ago.
a) Dr. Dobecki immediately put me on a low dose of a wonderful new medication I've never tried for my Fibromyalgia. After only a few weeks, this medication lowered my Fibro. pain (from a "9" on the pain scale to a "7.") About then, I saw Dr. Dobecki's NP, Larisa, and she doubled my dosage of this medication. I'm now looking forward to even more pain relief for my poor aching body.
