Wow, what a incredibly friendly and clean business! My brother and I walked in on a whim to get a pre-purchase inspection on a Honda CR-V we had driven there from the dealership. Ron I believe(sorry, I hope that's right) immediately greeted us and agreed to do a inspection right then and there! We left the car and about 45 minutes later he gave us a call, he had found that the transmission which we suspected, was about to go. So he saved me from an enviable cash cow cash, so thank you! Then had my car repaired in acceptable time and did a good job as well. The only thing I didn't like was the cost of the repair but when I asked for a veterans discount they did give me a 10% discount which helped me out a lot. Therefore I give Specialty Auto a 5-Star rating. They did tell me that they were no longer going to be working on Volkswagen's. So even though the tow truck driver recommended this place and they did repair my VW don't take your car there if it's a VW.

Was recommended this mechanic from a friend who also took their 2000's era Subaru here. I've had my 2001 Subaru Outback serviced here several times now for some general maintenance, as well as electrical, steering, and brake service. They are always super friendly on the phone to schedule or discuss findings/recommendations, thrifty in finding the appropriate parts quickly, and overall straight-shooters. Couldn't recommend more!!!

Ron and his team are hands down the best in town. He has been servicing my Honda Pilot for years, as well as my entire family's fleet as weel as most of my friend's cars. A true, honest mechanic is getting harder and harder to find- which is why I stick with Specialty Auto. Great care, very practical, understands your needs and gives honest advice. I've gone to Ron at Specialty Auto a handful of times over the last two years and let me tell ya, there isn't a more honest and thoughtful guy to work with. From oil changes, to spark plugs and also some CAT errors, he's been completely transparent and a pleasure to work with. Having to make costly repairs is never fun for any automobile owner, but I can rest easy knowing my truck in Ron's hands. Highly recommend this shop and the staff that I've worked with.

I take my 2016 Toyota Prius here for service and always receive top notch, honest work. I never feel like Ron and his team are over charging me or trying to up sell me additional work. Price is excellent for the care they take in each car service. Before taking my car to Specialty Auto, I was purely a dealership customer until I realized how dishonest they were when working on my car. Just returned from my first visit to get my ‘11 Outback serviced (oil and both differentials), and am very happy with the service and price. I have a Nissan and have been going to Specialty Auto since I got it 3 years ago. I bought it used, so I knew there would be some issues. John made sure to spend more time fixing a part if it meant not having to buy an expensive replacement. Specialty Auto also has made sure to buy quality replacement parts, giving a warranty for them. I only had an issue with one part, and they honored the warranty they gave, not charging me for the labor or new part. I trust them immensely.

Great service! Like many, I'm always nervous about getting auto work done. There are so many places out there that will over bid, make you feel like the sky is falling and take your money. This shop is 5 stars all the way; I've seen the Nissan side and for the past 8 years frequented Ron for my Toyota and Lexus services. I value the honest feedback and realistic estimates; Ron never tries to oversell me on things I don't need which is hard to find particularly at the dealerships. He's taken the time to help me research issues and equipped me with abundant info when I've had to fight the dealership to honor warranty issues or need a recommendation for a new hitch setup. As far as I can tell Mark is an excellent Subaru mechanic. I've only ever been treated with respect and open communication here. I appreciate the extra explanations about what needs to be done and honesty.
I had my clutch replaced and, though not completely apparent at first, one of the parts was a bit faulty and making it not quite right. Mark had to order a new, new part and do the job all over again free of charge. He did this without a complaint to me and even replaced an extraneous part for free for my troubles even though it was really the manufacturer's fault.

Called and navigated their voicemail options, which led me to talking to Ron. I asked "Are you the mechanic that services Lexus?" to which I got a reply of "yes." I then said I had some major service that I needed completed and asked if I could get a quote via e-mail. The answer was a curt "nope." There was no "sorry, I don't have that capability," or "we prefer you bring your car in and give the quote in person." Just "nope." I sat there for about 5 seconds waiting for Ron to follow-up in some way, but there was just a "HELLO

I've taken my Nissan in 4 regular interval inspections and maintenance. I can't say enough about the honesty , the dependability , and the friendliness. I've moved away and sadly tried some other mechanics comma but no one is great as these guys at Specialty Auto although I got to drive further to get there I am going to start going back to Specialty Auto cuz they are the best. Mark and Troy or above and beyond.

Very satisfied with Honda A/C Service! Air conditioning in my Civic died on the way here from Southern & Central CA for vacation. All places are experiencing record heat so being without A/C is NOT an option! Honda dealership had no appointments for 7 days so I was very pleased to get a next day appointment with Ron who explained all my options clearly and concisely. Thanks!!!

They are a wonderful combination of being specialists in certain brands, but nothing like visiting a dealership. I do not recommend taking your Audi to Mike at Specialty Auto. He seems to be best fit for VWs. We learned after taking our Audi to Mike for work, that inferior, after-market USED parts were installed and we were charged full price, plus it took over a week to fix, which should have only taken two days at most. We were told this after it broke down within a week and another shop was hired to fix Mike's "repairs"...Ugh!

I've been going to this shop for 15 or so years. I know I can trust Ron, the Honda mechanic, to not charge me for something the car doesn't need. Another car mechanic down the street even said this place has a good reputation among other mechanics, who would know. That's reassuring. My car is always ready when promised, often earlier. A few times I've had emergencies when they really didn't have any appointment slots open for awhile and Ron still figured out a way to help me out. That goes a long way.

I really want to give Speciality a better rating, but I can't. I've taken my 93 VW Eurovan there twice and the last time was a bad experience. Sadly, I really like and trust Mike the VW mechanic. He's just not great at communication and he's really poor at finishing work on schedule. The last time I went he wasn't able to fix a seemingly small problem on my van - this despite telling me he knew the problem and could have it fixed easily. Even worse, Mike was attempting to fix a problem that he had supposedly fixed the last time I brought the van to them.
