Services
Elevate Yoga has been serving Hazlet and the surrounding communities since 2009. Founded by Jamie Segal Hanley and Diana Segal, a mother-daughter duo who believe that yoga is for every body. We are an alignment-based studio that strives to educate students about their bodies so that they may cultivate a sustainable, life-long yoga practice.
It is optimal to practice on an empty stomach, so be sure to eat a few hours before class time. Refrain from wearing any fragrant perfumes, colognes, or oils, as others in class may have allergies. We advise that you have your own mat when beginning your yoga practice, but we do have them available to you as well, free of charge!
Private yoga classes offer one-on-one instruction and are tailored to each student's individual needs. Great for new students, those working with injuries, or an experienced practitioner looking to deepen their practice. Semi Private classes offer the same benefits, and with a friend you'll get a better price.
Yes - yoga is for every body! Teachers will offer modifications and props for different levels of flexibility so that you can still get the full benefits of each pose. Please be sure the class you are attending is appropriate for your level of ability. Most students who arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class time will secure a spot in class; however, you may want to preregister online for our busiest times.
Elevate Yoga and Wellness is committed to the ongoing education of yoga teachers. To that end, we offer continuing education workshops for teachers both within and outside of our ongoing trainings. These workshops are with ERYT-500 hour certified teachers or experts in their field, so that teachers may log these hours with Yoga Alliance for CEUs.

Elevate has been a place of pure peace all of these years I've been going. The staff is knowledgable and professional, but most of all kind. I feel very comfortable each time I take a class and just adore the delightful studio owner. It's by far one of my favorite yoga studios in Monmouth County!

I have been going to Elevate for years, and I highly recommend this studio. Everybody is truly welcomed and supported at Elevate - all ages, ability levels, body types, and identities. Every class is always wonderful, leaving me feeling relaxed and refreshed. I am impressed with how well the instructors transitioned to Zoom classes during Covid. Virtual classes still hold the same magical sense of warmth and community that permeates the studio, with the benefit of being able to do them in my own home. Sunday Serenity with Alicia is an amazing way to start each week, nurturing my mind, body, and

Elevate Yoga is a wonderful yoga studio. The class diversity keeps everyone interested. The owner of the studio as well as the other yoga instructors are all fantastic. Everyone is very peaceful and kind and the serenity of the studio becomes part of my home when we practice virtually.

Elevate is like a home away from home for me. Every time I enter the building (and hopefully we’ll be able to do this again soon), I feel embraced by kindness and empathy. All of the instructors are fabulous, the special events are interesting and thought provoking, and the members are fun. You’ll love this community!

Heavily geared towards total beginners. Classes are misleadingly titled. The speed of a vinyasa class here equates to a VERY slow flow class elsewhere. Mixed level classes don't offer any intermediate modifications. Classes seemed to start with a lot of chatting about the schedule and some meditative reading, then they were over by the time you got done with a few very gentle twists. A very attractive studio full of nice people, but if you are an intermediate/advanced yogi, you may find it lacking.

It has been awhile since I have taken a class at Elevate. I regret the lapse after taking a class there today with the owner, Jamie.

Space always clean and bright, recent renovations have added to the warmth and space.

Class was well constructed and totally appropriate to the label. No surprises. Jamie's cues are spot on and her adjustments welcome and gentle. Zero intimidation, modifications encouraged. I left wanting to do it again!

Alicia is one of the best yoga instructors I've had the pleasure of working with in my many years of practicing yoga. With her help she makes me a better person. New to yoga, come, she will make you feel comfortable and be attentive to your needs. In her words, if the whole world practiced yoga it would be a much better place to be a part of.

Not a friendly atmosphere as the instructor completely ignored me and did not make me feel welcome my first time there. Will not return.

Amazing teachers and super friendly! A mom and daughter team run the show and they do a great job at consistently offering new classes and workshops.
