Theresa Sparkes, LAc. is a NCCAOM board certified acupuncturist licensed in New Jersey & New York. Theresa completed her Bachelor's degree at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, and her Master's Level Certificate in Acupuncture from Eastern School of Acupuncture in Montclair, NJ. While at the Eastern School, she trained extensively in three styles of acupuncture (TCM, Kiiko-Style, and Worsley Five Element).
She is currently furthering her education to include an advanced Sports Medicine Acupuncture certification. Her clinical experience includes hospitals, wellness centers and private practice. Acupuncture is a powerful yet gentle treatment that can be used to help the body heal from a variety of health conditions.

Acupuncture has a regulatory effect on the body, and it can treat a large variety of ailments. We see patients with a number of concerns, including but not limited to: pain management, anxiety, depression, migraines, bells palsy, the common cold, immune system issues, autoimmune disorders, sleep issues, nausea and TMJ, to name some of the most common.

Warm and friendly staff. Theresa is extremely knowledgeable and well studied in her field. She is kind and always concerned with patients' comfort. She also takes time to explain what she is doing and why, and is highly skilled at finding and targeting the areas that are causing pain or discomfort. I haven’t been going for very long and already feel some relief. Would highly recommend.

I started going to acupuncture while I was having several different health problems both physical and mental. Immediately I felt so comfortable speaking with Theresa and her office gives off a very warm, homey feeling. (It is also VERY clean!) She not only took the time to really get to know me but was able to help me understand my own body on a much deeper level. I was in a tremendous amount of pain in my neck and shoulder . The pain then ran down my arm. I had never had acupuncture before and decided to try it. Theresa told me that I would start to really feel better by 3 or 4 treatments and by the third treatment I was so much Better! She is professional and gentle.
