Swan Lake Overlook is a luxurious wedding and event venue. Our venue sits on 225 acres of land that has been in our family for over 100 years. Our scenic views overlook the North Georgia Mountains and come with all of the well loved mountain elements. We are conveniently located just north of Atlanta, providing the perfect mountain destination wedding just outside of the city.
Our guests can enjoy several ceremony spots around our property and a large indoor venue space with seating for up to 300 guests. While we are a farm, our space is everything but your typical barn wedding. We classify ourselves as rustic-elegance.

Cancellations are rare, but if one happens, we will post the date here as soon as we know it is available. Swan Lake Overlook is a brand new venue that is elegant, yet timeless. Your fairy-tale wedding will come together with ease with beautiful surroundings, intriguing animals and the exquisite venue overlooking Swan Lake. The space can be customized to give you the wedding you have always dreamed about.
When the contract is signed, to continue holding the date, 50% of the venue rental fee is due. The final installment will be required 180 days prior to the event. You are welcome to send smaller, partial payments of any amount prior to the specified due date, so in effect creating your own payment plan on your own schedule.
Our venue is perfectly wedged between two popular North Georgia cities: Dahlonega and Dawsonville. Dawsonville is located just north of Atlanta, right up GA 400. This easy access location makes it a simple travel commute for any guests. In such a quick drive, you can feel like you have escaped the fast-paced city life of ATL and escape to the scenic North Georgia Mountains.

We used this venue for my daughter's wedding on 10/16/21 and the venue was stunning and importantly the entire team at Swan Lake was incredibly easy to work with. This is a new property and they are continue to look for ways to enhance the experience for couples. My daughter and her bridgesmaids stayed at the large guesthouse on the property which was also ideal for getting ready. They had a hilltop wedding and outdoor cocktail hour, followed by an indoor reception. It was awesome to have 3 different areas within one venue. Loved the animals roaming around as a backdrop to this already beautiful

We got married here on October 29th. Absolutely a breathtaking place. They have exotic animals which adds a nice touch. If you’re looking for a “twilight” themed wedding, this is the place! The staff is incredibly helpful and sweet. This is a new venue with a small family team. They are willing to work with you. Their list of vendors are awesome but we decided to go with our own. They do require vendor agreements and insurance from each vendor. We had around 285 guests and the venue accommodated that perfectly.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this venue and this team! From the day we booked up until our big day, they immediately made us feel like family. Mechelle and Katie were so great and accommodating as well. We stayed in the estate house the night before and were able to wake up and start hair and make up which was perfect! The grooms house also worked so well for the boys. We had a hilltop ceremony that was absolutely breathtaking at sunset and all of the guests loved how unique the venue was. The entire staff was right by our side the entire time and made this day the best one of our lives

What an incredible venue! The staff was amazing and worked with my and (now) wife's special request and wedding planning. They were able to accommodate and workaround all the problems that came along with COVID and truly made our wedding perfect. The owner of the property is such a lovely individual; I highly recommend meeting him if you get the opportunity! Could not ask for a better venue or staff to work with. The venue is absolutely gorgeous as well! You will not regret having an event or getting married here.

Mechelle and Warren or AMAZING people! They were so encouraging, helpful, and kind. They were so excited to have us and you could tell! The venue is absolutely beautiful with rolling hills and the cutest animal friends! The bridal suite is also lovely. The only issues my guests let me know about was the check in process upon arrival and the mud in the parking lot. We were only their 6th wedding, so I’m sure those things will get worked out!

Swan Lake Overlook is an amazing venue. The owners Mechelle and Warren go above and beyond for their clients. I am a wedding planner based out of North Georgia and I work at many different venues in the area. From the time you enter the venue you realize how truly unique it is. The animals are so diverse and beautiful. The landscape is so vast that photographers have ample photo backdrops and the reception hall has super tall ceilings and window walls that overlook the lake. This is truly an outstanding luxurious venue.

You’ll tour this place and fall in love with it IMMEDIATELY! It. Is. Gorgeous. This is hands down the prettiest venue in the area. There are so many different options for ceremony spots. I had my heart set on… having the ceremony indoors and it was gorgeous - so even if you decide on an outdoor location and the weather ends up bad/rainy, you’ll still have a beautiful indoor option!!

Our son was married at Swan Lake Overlook last weekend. We absolutely could have never ask for a more perfect venue. Everything was absolutely gorgeous! All of our friends said that it was the prettiest wedding that they had ever attended! The owners of the venue were so accommodating and so helpful, paying attention to every single detail! There is no way that you will find a more awesome place for a wedding than Swan Lake Overlook! We highly recommend going on a tour and checking this place out for yourselves.
