A cataract is a common condition that causes a clouding of the eye's natural lens, and affects millions of people each year, including more than half of all Americans over the age of 65. Cloudiness develops as a result of a buildup of protein in the lens. Your doctor will perform a thorough examination and series of tests in order to diagnose a cataract.
Berger, Howard, and Kessler believe that it is important for everyone to have regular eye examinations. How frequently you should have routine eye exams depends on your age, your health, your family history of eye problems and whether you have been diagnosed or treated for any eye conditions or diseases.
Many patients who have diabetes think of it as a disease whereby the primary problem is difficulty in properly metabolizing glucose. In fact, this is correct. However, the effects of diabetes are more widespread than simply a "sugar problem".

In fact, diabetes is a disease that affects the blood vessels throughout the body, thus leading to problems with the circulation to your legs, kidneys, heart, brain and eyes-especially the very small blood vessels of the eye found in the retina. When diabetes begins to affect the small blood vessels in the retina, it is called Diabetic Retinopathy.
Macular Degeneration is a very common eye disease. In fact, Macular Degeneration affects more people than either cataracts or glaucoma. Macular Degeneration is the most frequent cause of blindness for patients aged 55 and above in the United States and is estimated to affect over 10 million Americans.
Dry Eye Syndrome affects millions of people worldwide. While many people associate the thought of dry eyes with various symptoms of ocular discomfort such as dryness, grittiness or burning, most people do not realize that in order to have normal vision, it is critical to have a sufficient quantity of healthy tears on the surface of the eye at all times.

This has to be the worst, worst, worst run office I've ever experienced.
DO NOT GO HERE.!!! Rude, and disorganized.
I was stung in my eye by an insect, it was an emergency. I was given an appointment 1 1/2 hrs after my call. I arrive, sat there for 1 hour and the nurse comes out and tells me that the Dr. is running 1-2 hrs behind, she wasn't sure how long. I was stunned... why did you give me an appointment? She then looks at me and says that I looked like I was in discomfort but sorry, they couldn't see me. I drove 45 minutes to an appointment that they gave me, sat for an hour in pain, and
