You get what you pay for I guess. I moved in December 2020. I didn't mind the outdated appliances or the fact that a lot of my apartment was really banged up when I moved in. But my first night in, my shower didn't work, my dishwasher was disgusting and rusted out, and my kitchen sink leaked majorly. I have had to submit maintenance requests almost once a week. So far I have had to have my kitchen sink fixed 4 times, my shower fixed twice, all my electrical outlets replaced, my water heater replaced, my dishwasher replaced, my ceiling fan replaced, and my front door fixed twice (pending

This is based on an appointment and tour to view the apartments. The manager Rhonda was wonderful. She was very friendly and helpful both on the phone and in person. The apartment looked great, clean and cozy. The surroundings looked well kept up. My daughter starts grad school soon in that area, and we hope this will be her future home.

Rhonda the manager is wonderful and truly cares about her residents. Mike head of maintenance is exceptional. I have lived here for a year and just signed a new year and half lease. I am always happy to come home. Yes it is an older property however the bedrooms and living room huge. Love my walk in closet.

I have lived in quite a few apartment complexes in Escondido and have to say Woodlake has been the best experience with living in an apartment I've had. The managers are responsive friendly and available. The 2 times or so we've needed minor maintenance in the home they were out quickly and took care of us. The pool during the summer was a big hit with my little ones, and all of my neighbors have been very curtious and much more pleasant than past places I've lived. They definitely take the time to keep up on property up keep and it is very quiet but still family friendly. If I wasn't moving out

Woodlake Apartments is a GREAT place to live. The apartment managers Sandra and Rhonda made me feel like I was at home the first day I moved in. The complex has beautiful landscaping and is such an enjoyment to come home too after work. I definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a great place to live in Escondido California.

My review is long over due but I lived in these apartments for a year and moved out around Sept 2017. I was in a studio and I have to say, it was a pretty big studio compared to what I had seen.
I really enjoyed the community and my neighbors were all very quiet. There were never any noise issues. Management was great and were always very helpful. I ended up needing a bigger place and moved out of state, but if I didn't need a larger space, I definitely would have stayed.

I have lived here for just over a year now and I have no complaints. Any maintenance requests have been handled quickly. There are always washers and dryers available. And there is always parking. I love the park like grounds. While my cabinets are a little older, I know that my rent here is reasonable. In other reviews people mention the rent changing every month. It is because here you pay water, sewer and garbage fees and that varies by month. My rent did increase when the year was up, but it was totally reasonable. Much less than the last apartment I lived in. I really enjoy living here!

My husband and I have lived here for over 7 years. Rhonda the Manager is very helpful and always ensures the tenants are happy. She has done so much to improve the community and continues to do so. The maintenance staff are also very friendly and they take care of any issue almost immediately. We can't say enough great things about Woodlake. Looking forward to calling this place home for many years to come.

Woodlake Apartment is well kept, both inside and out. When I first moved in, they changed the carpet to a new one which was very nice. The inside is clean and well maintained. Although appliances and cabinets are a little outdated, they function properly. They are hoping to update the apartments so looking forward to that!

Was really excited to view the one bedroom. Talked to Ronda directly about what time I'll be showing up and she guaranteed to let me have the place ready to see. I show up and she claims she has no idea who I am, even tho we talked directly, I tell her I didn't go through the call center I went straight to her. She laughs and says it must be a memory issue. Tells us the pesticide people are in the apartment we were suppose to see and to come back tomorrow morning. Drove 40 minutes for nothing we won't be back. Extremely disappointed

Just moved in yesterday and I love living there already! The office management team ( Rhonda and Ingrid ) are just amazing! They provide such great customer service and will keep you updated throughout the whole process. They're very quick to responding to your emails or calls. They want to make sure you're taken care of and they do just that. I feel like it's hard to find places that has a caring managament team nowadays. This is my third move in San Diego and I love Woodlake's management team!

I've been living here since March and I absolutely love the place. All of my neighbors are super nice and pretty quiet. The apartments themselves are in great condition and pretty spacious. Also, the apartment manager is so friendly and quick to get back to you about any questions you may have. I definitely love calling this place home.

Took a tour of the complex with my fiance. Mayda was the one who has helped with everything. She's really nice and got back to us with everything immediately. Got approved super quick, and got our move in date. Complex is really nice, and super relaxed. The pool is really decked out with a waterfall, and a spa. Looking forward to the move in.

Not worth it. The apartments are in terrible condition. They constantly raise the rent even though the complex is getting worse and worse. The gates for the cars are constantly broken. There was a smashed in gate that they took FOREVER to fix. At least half of the pedestrian gates don't lock or are missing a handle. This is also not a nice area so they just make it even easier for homeless people and others to come wandering in. The office staff are super shady and will nickle and dime you. Every year it seemed that everything got worse. The rent isn't even competitively cheap anymore. There was

I have enjoyed my time here at Woodlake. The office staff Carrie and Sarah are unbelievably kind and do their best to accommodate the residents. The grounds are clean and maintenance are very fast and friendly. I could do without the extra fees and rental increases, hopefully I can afford to continue my stay here at Woodlake for a few years to come. It's a great place to live!

I moved here because I needed my own peace of mind. I signed a year lease and absolutely loved it. You're guaranteed a covered parking spot and guest parking is abundant. The apartments are very quiet and maintenance keeps the apartments looking nice. If you need something fixed in your unit they come right away and the pool area is beautiful as well :) ... Escondido is pretty ghetto, but these apartments are the complete opposite. I feel like they don't let ghetto people rent from them haha. Prices are also fairly cheap, I rented a studio for $895! I lived at the complex for 1 year when I first moved to San Diego. I had the HARDEST time finding a decent apartment in a decent neighborhood for an affordable price. I fell in love instantly when I found this complex tucked away from all of the ghetto Grand Ave offered. I put the money down, signed away, and I throughout that entire year I really have 0 complaints. The maintenance guys were always kind and came to fix issues quickly. My first home in SoCal and I loved it for what it was.

When I first pulled into the parking lot to go give my downpayment to the Management Office, I saw a drug deal happening right out front the landlords office! I was surprised because the claim they have 24 hour security. NOT even close. But I decided, that no matter what that is in all areas in Escondido that will be happening, and I can't be picky( which for the record, is not true, there are some actually nice places to rent from in Esco) . From the minute of when I gave them my down payment, everything went down hill. They started tacking on all these "hidden fees" that they said
