With 2 Queen-size beds this room offers lots of flexibility. Stand on your private balcony and look out over the tree tops onto the stunning blue waters of Sister Bay. This may be a 2 star hotel, but it is far more than that in terms of quality of stay and location. Nice people, too. This is the second time we've stayed here, this time in a king suite with our dog. Amazing view, exceptionally clean, and the SHOWERS! They were redone and amazing. Walk along the water to Sister Bay is about 25 minutes/gorgeous. Highly recommend.

Once again had a great stay at the Country House Resort. The resort did a great job of providing a super clean room and resort. Staff is friendly and provide excellent services in all areas. Their breakfast options includes yogurts, fresh baked scones, juices, fruit, breakfast sandwiches and other options. This was great considering current national Covid restrictions! Great job to all staff members and ownership! What a relaxing few days.

My fiancé and I couldn’t have loved this place more for an anniversary weekend away. Fresh scones, immaculate rooms, beautiful grounds, fantastic amenities and no children for a truly peaceful retreat. We loved kayaking, the close walk to town via the cute nature trail, and the warm pool and hot tub. Can’t wait to come back next year!

We stayed here a couple weeks ago for valentines day and it was wonderful. The staff was very welcoming and kind, they even offered us complimentary snow shoes to use during our stay! The room was super clean and cozy, with lots of space and a comfortable bed! We also had a great view from our balcony of the bay, which im sure is even more gorgeous during the summer! I also love how this resort is tucked away in a little nook. We would love to come here again! Thank you Country House Resort for a great stay

This place was so great that I don't want anyone else to find it. First of all, it's for adults so you don't have screaming kids running down the hall or ruining the whirlpool. Second, the grounds are gorgeous, with a walk down to a pier on the water (which is extremely steep and would be challenging for mobility impaired, FYI). Third, the breakfast buffet is small but delicious, and great for starting your day. We enjoyed sitting outside with the flowers enjoying wine in the evening. We even saw deer running through the woods on the property.

Bottom line is this was great place and I highly recommend it!!!! I vacation alot but to be really honest Wisconsin wasn't someplace I would have ever come up with all my own. Luckily a friend of mine saw some information and we booked this for a girl trip. We loved it!
I'm so glad we came here and we chose this place to stay. We asked for a view of the lake we were in room 406 had to go up a flight of stairs, no elevator. The place is gorgeous well-maintained beautiful landscaping, plenty of places to sit and have Quiet Moments. Complimentary breakfast was amazing. You get coffee milk

My mom, sister and I have been doing a girls' trip to Door County for over 25 years. Most of those (I would guess around 15) have been at Country House. Their #1 selling feature is most definitely their policy allowing only children 14 years and older to stay at the resort - a welcome respite from a peninsula filled with vacationing families. The rooms serve their purpose, and there are pleasant extras like boats and bicycles available for use at your leisure. The continental breakfast is plentiful. The outdoor areas are variable depending largely on the patrons visiting at the time:

Stayed for two nights before Memorial Day and our visit was lovely. Everything about this property is nice. The resort is large and very well maintained by the family who owns it. The room was comfortable and roomy, updated and very clean. There is a lovely (steep) trail down to the bay that is quite energizing. We had a lake view room with a private balcony for sipping tea in the evening while watching the sunset. The warm breakfast was a great way to start a day of sightseeing and the location was central to many attractions. All in all, a delightful experience. Highly recommended

Highly recommend. Clean and comfortable rooms with fireplace and a deck overlooking the lake. The nature trail down to the lake is paved and very well kept eulogize makes it a pleasurable experience. The grounds are beautiful with lots of colorful flowers , water features and waves walkways. They have everything you can think of in a vacation destination.

We enjoyed our stay. The location is a little bit out of town which is nice so you don't have to deal with traffic, but it's not too far away that you can't walk into town. Just prepare to take the nature trail or go down a big hill. They provided free breakfast (which is good) and bikes/kayaks for you to use. They also have badminton, corn hole, shuffle board, horseshoes, fire pit, a pool, and jacuzzi for use. The property is really beautiful. I suggest getting a water view room because it is spectacular.

This place is incredible! The friendliest staff I've encountered in Door County yet. The setting is relaxed and there is something fun to do around every corner. The grounds are impeccable. The breakfast was great - fresh with good quality and variety. Not your typical continental breakfast by any means and there's always a giant bowl of DC cherries to put on your yogurt, cereal or waffle.
They have thought of everything...Netflix streaming Blu Ray players, a library of games, books and movies to freshly baked cookies every afternoon.

The primary reason for choosing this hotel was that they are dog friendly. I had my little Westie with me and it was such a relief to find a place that welcomed her too.
The grounds are beautiful. There's a great nature trail that leads down to the bay, where the hotel has kayaks and rowboats for you to use if you wish.

The Country House is a great find in Door County!!! We were pleasantry surprised when we stayed here for two nights with our dog. They have a beautiful spot right on the lake. They serve a great breakfast. They have a hot tub, pool, tennis, kayaks and bikes. The dog package is the best! They give you a tub of towels, sheets and dog treats, a bowl and an enormous listing of dog friendly restaurants, stores, state parks and dog parks. The grounds are incredible with a water side trail that provides both sunrise and sunsets!
