This was a wonderful experience, especially for a guy who does not know a lot about bikes, to schedule a quick bike repair and be able to go into a local shop and get almost immediate feedback and support. I highly recommend this bike shop as a place to get your bike repaired from a friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Bought my bike here and will get it serviced every time. I know almost nothing and was guided to an unbelievable bike for commuting. Service is fast, comprehensive, non judgemental, and I always leave knowing what to do better. I never feel ripped off, pressured, or disappointed in making the trip. Road bikes, mtn bikes, accessories, rentals...everything you need from the people who know it all.

I visited 4-5 bike shops around the area. All had nice gear, none had the service, knowledge and willingness to discuss in-depth the equipment and bike. If you want a solid bike with the best service in town, this is the place to go. You can’t go wrong here. They have everything you need to ride on pavement, gravel, dirt or wherever your adventuress heart takes you.

I’m usually not one to leave bad reviews but hear me out, I called early in the week about a bike they had and I wanted to come pick it up Saturday. 2 different people told me to be price of the bike was non negotiable even though it’s a left over and I’m driving 4 hours to come pick it up, ok no problem, I give them my down payment and tell them to have it ready for Saturday. Saturday I drive 4 hours to get the bike, they make me pay for the bike in full before they bring it out, ($4000 bike mind you). The girl comes walking out after the payment goes through and they didn’t even bother

I was in the market for a gravel bike at around $2000 with some stretch. Landry's didn't quite have what I wanted (not their fault given the national bike shortage) and JRA did. Staff are knowledgeable and very generous with their time -- I was having a lot of trouble with front mech indexing, and Tom spent literally hours getting it as dialed as possible for me.
Perhaps the only bad thing I could say is that accessory installation labor isn't included with a bike purchase like it is at some other shops. The rates are reasonable, however, and it was a non-issue for me since the cost was such a

Friendly bike shop that can meet all your needs. I have purchased a mountain bike here recently and the experience was very pleasant. Even through COVID they have been attentive and safe, while still helping as many people as possible. I now dropped off my bike for service and they were willing to listen to my list of needs and really help me get to the core of what I needed. I have been looking for a bike shop I'm ready to work with exclusively and I found that at JRA. Friendly and knowledgeable.

I have tried all the bike shops along the north shore above Boston. There are a lot of good ones, a couple questionable ones but of them all,JRA is hands down the best. They carry great brands and recommend higher quality bikes that will cost a little more but they really last and they stand by them. I asked them so many questions and they were always helpful

The store owner Brian and employees at JRA take the time to truly help you out. I have been looking for a bike for a while now, and I have returned to JRA because of their quality bikes and above & beyond service. Both times I visited, the employees helped us try out bikes, gave their honest opinions, and even helped show us how to fit them into our cars to transport home. I never felt like anyone was trying to up-sell or be pushy whatsoever (I have encountered that elsewhere). I could tell they were all very knowledgeable and appreciate how they took the time to listen to what we wanted in

Bought 3 expensive specialty bikes here.
The bike quality is top notch and price is correct, but the after sale follow up was nul.
I expressed how important it was for me to get our toddler geared up on a trailer, and we needed a thru axel so that we could connect the Liv to a trailer, but week after week I just got the run around. During the sale, Brian said that it's a community - not just sales. That turned out not to be true. Had to go to another dealer of Liv bikes to get a thru axel ordered and then finally could get a burley trailer to pull the kido.
After 5 weeks we finally started

JRA catches the vibe of a cool bike shop and hangs it on the wall alongside an excellent selection of the top of the line bikes you see in magazines, and all the accessories, helmets and gear that you need. In the middle of all this is a busy mechanics' pit. Everyone that works there has been great to work with.
The only downside is the location. I love the shop, but hate the parking.

I've had a lot of interactions with bike shops lately that make me really appreciate JRA. It is definitely the go-to shop in the Boston area. They carry the highest quality brands, do the best work, and are the best people around. There is always a risk when you walk into a bike shop that someone is either going to try to take advantage of you, or treat you like a pissant. Not a worry at JRA.

I brought 2 of my Kona's in for service as they are a Kona dealer and I had heard good things. I also had the two forks rebuilt - one due to age and one due to it being a new to me used bike.
They were both done before the quoted date and under the estimated high end price. The work wasn't cheap, but the bikes were clean and everything worked like new.
There was one issue which they handled above my expectations. The fork on my downhill bike started leaking the first time out after the rebuild. I mean it was just dumping oil. I called and brought it back. It turns out the mechanic

I have used them every couple of years, for about 7 years now. They are very fast to fix things (on the spot, if it's a small but urgent problem) and I like their customer service both on the phone and in person. I find them unpretentious and going out of their way to be polite. I have come with odd bikes as well as traditional; a large front-cargo bike from Amsterdam, and an e-bike, and they have always been professional and remedied my problems quickly. The only recommendation I would have would be to have one or two physical seats for those who need to wait, and a ramp they could toss

This store has a great inventory of mtb related things.
However there service is sub par. I dropped my downhill bike to have the front boxxer fork serviced awhile back. I paid a couple hundred dollars for the fork service. However, the forks compression knobs seized up only a few weeks later! Also on this same work order they forgot to order a crucial part for my rear axle I had asked them to order. I had to call them after the due date only to find out the part had still not been ordered. This caused me to miss a race.
Great shop for buying things. Never get work done here.

I used their repair service on my son's bicycle. I had a badly bend rear rim that needed straightening. I would normally do it myself, but this was bent enough that I needed to call in professionals. They recommended that I replace instead of repair because the wheel was compromised. Since the price difference between repair and replace was minimal, I agreed.
They didn't have a low end replacement in stock (they are a higher end shop), so they had to order it.
Service was friendly and reasonably timely.
They were not inexpensive, but honestly I am not sure any bike service place is

I have been into JRA cycles twice. Both times for simple service.
The first time I went I had broken my pedal and wanted to get new pedals. They talked me into getting a whole new crank, chain, and front gear in addition to the pedals. It was expensive but I hadn't put much money into my bike in years. It is an old Bianchi that was converted to a fixed gear. It is really a simple bike but has quality parts. So I said go ahead.
A week goes by and I get my bike back and everything looks good. I start riding it and 10 miles in one of the pedals they replaced just fell off. It was like the
