Overall a good experience. There have been some elements to the community that have changed over the years. The complex is quick to respond to issues, so if you're plumbing goes or you have an A/C issue, they respond quickly. No bugs... No loud parties. This neighborhood use to be so quiet but its slowly turning away from that. My neighbor stated she was getting random knocks on her door at night. Now tonight it finally happened to me. There needs to be some cameras in these buildings perhaps or something that ensures peace safety & quietness. I no longer feel safe in this neighborhood. Not to mention the bug problem

Do yourself a favor and stop apartment hunting now- St. Andrews Apartments are quiet, comfortable, and affordable. All the office staff are professional, helpful, and all around lovely people. Maintenance requests are completed quickly and common areas such as stairwells are kept clean and tidy. You won’t find a better apartment for a better price. Such a great place to live!!

Lived here for 5 years. The staff here is extremely caring, attentive, and does a good job at supporting their residents and creating a good home to live in. I had two maintenance issues that required quick attention (failed A/C in July and a clogged toilet). Maintenance was quick to either put in a stopgap solution or get the solution fully resolved. The amenities, staff, and cost all make these apartments one of the best values in Newport News.

I was there for 27 years all was good. However, if you are military with a strong chance of deploying sell your car and put your stuff in storage. I had stored stuff of deployed friends and faced possible evitction. So I put all stuff in dumpster that was not mine and moved to a private home. Most of those deployed friends came home in body bags and families did not get stuff back.
Many cars were towed of deployed folks and storage fees as well as fines were more than cars were worth....after 15 months rather high price to fight for freedom.
Obviously staff was good.

I lived here from 2012 to 2017. This year I moved into a townhouse that was closer to work but I had nothing but great experiences at St Andrews. The grounds are extremely well kept. Maintenance is quick and take care of the problems correctly. Everyone in the front office is professional and do their best to accommodation everyone (I dealt mostly with Shanna - really good person). I never had issues with bugs which is a deal breaker for me... I wouldn't had stayed as long as I did if I noticed a bug problem. It's also really quiet.. which I need. Honestly, I would recommend St Andrews to anyone

Nothing but great things to say about St Andrews. I have been a resident here for 6 years and unfortunately the time has come for me to move on. The ladies in the office are always pleasant... Especially Shanna who has been here every since I first moved in. The grounds are well kept, the neighborhood is quiet and safe. I have never felt in danger or uncomfortable getting home late at night. I've always had a parking spot right in front of my building. Only had a bug issue one time which seemed to be caused by new neighbors... I let the office know and they promptly took care of it. The gym here
