At your initial visit, our goal is to get to know you and your vision for a healthy smile. The first step is a consultation which will consist of an interview, exam, diagnostic services and treatment options. Based on your individual needs, it is a possibility to complete your cleaning and provide a fluoride treatment at this visit.
SPA Dental Group is open Monday through Friday and select Saturdays by appointment request only. Please contact us to schedule an appointment and we will be glad to serve your dental needs. Emergency appointments are always welcome, and we will do our best to have you seen the same day. Being in the city, we understand that your time is precious.
As we aspire to deliver the highest level of care at the lowest cost to our patients, we require payment to be made at the time of service. Financing options are available for certain procedures upon request, but must be signed prior to dental services being rendered. After completion of care we submit on your behalf to your insurance company.
Infection control refers to policy and procedures used to minimize the risk of spreading infection. The cornerstone of any relationship is trust. We appreciate your for placing your trust in our hands and are more than willing to answer any questions you may have. Upon request a tour of our sterilization area can be provided.
We are not thinking about individual teeth, we are thinking about the whole person, and the whole persons place in the environment. In order to reduce our carbon footprint, we are a paperless office with digital x-ray services. The reduced radiation exposure, using digital radiography, reduces pollution to the patients body compared to traditional radiography.

I went to Doctor Ben-Ezra at Spa Dental group on I St NW DC in June 2021, and she said my tooth number 32 had a crack in it and that she would watch it. The next month she was gone, she moved to another state, So how could she continue to monitor my tooth? Very dishonest dentist.
Stupidly, I went back to Spa Dental on I St NW DC, in October 2021 for a cleaning. Dr. Siddiqui said I had a crack in tooth number 32, but she didn't let me know I also have a very deep cavity in that tooth , and that tooth was to hold a bridge.
I went to a recommended dentist and he took a picture of tooth

From every angle, this is the best dental practice I’ve been to in a very long time if not in my whole life. This place just has a different vibration, something that sets it apart from other typical dental practices. I felt so well taken care of. I have honestly zero complaints, Dr. Nguyen is caring, clear, confident in what she’s doing and she’s s done a great job with my fillings. Thumbs up to the staff too for making the whole experience so smooth!

The negative reviews are all correct. I had originally gone here because they were so close to my apt. I went into get a regular exam. I left with a recommendation for a crown in a spot that had provided issues before. I am not saying they misdiagnosed my crown but they did not communicate the exact procedure in an effective way. They certainly upsold this experience as more long term and better than alternatives without highlighting the very invasive procedure that a crown actually entails. One of the dental assistants also put in a temporary crown in a very shoddy way and I had to go in twice

Honestly the best dental experience I've ever had in my life. The entire staff was extremely kind and attentive, and Dr. Siddiqui is hands down the best dentist I've ever had. Before I even left my appointment I was already recommending them to other people. Just an absolute excellent experience overall!

Hands down the best dental office. I want to start by complimenting the attention to detail, the solid protocols and the warm welcome that one receives as soon as they enter this office. The doctors are amazing and pay a lot of attention to patient education. Been going here for nearly 3 years now and every visit still feels as pleasant as my first one.

Dr. Nguyen and her Dental Assistant Jennifer are amazing at what they do. Beyond being skilled and competent, they are both very kind and make what can be a stressful process for some an actually enjoyable experience. I’ve never looked forward to going to the Dentist before and now I weirdly do. I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen!

Given my age, finding a good dental office to attend to my needs was always hard. But since I have been to this office, I know I’m never gonna need another dentist ever! The doctors are the nicest and the staff very helpful. They go out of their way to check on insurance coverage even though they are not required to. I recently got my dentures done at this office and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you SPA Dental Group!

Dr. Neysha Patel is a phenomenal dentist. Her patience, professionalism, knowledge, dedication, attention to detail, and warm and inviting demeanor caused me to actually look forward to going to the dentist. She took her time to explain EVERY step and procedure, and was available outside of our scheduled time via text when I had questions. I never had a dentist like her before. I was immensely sad but happy for her when she left Einstein dentistry. She was a breath of fresh air. I still had anxiety each time I was in her chair, but it was manageable thanks to her expertise and a stuffed animal

Please avoid this dental office if you can. I initially selected this dental office because the proximity to my work location. I had routine cleaning, cavity filled and invisalign done with them, but it has been an awful experience. I have given them plenty of doubts and I am now finally ready to move to another dentist.

I was told no cavities on imaging. Then when she went inspected my mouth, I was told I had surface cavities that needed to be drilled out and filled. I had no issues with this previously but after she did this, I started experiencing pain that persists even a year later. I got a second opinion and apparently I didn't even need to have the surface cavity drillled in the first place because it could have been managed expectantly. She also did not mention that by trying to fix a chip, she would manage to make the whole appearance of the tooth worse than if I had kept the chip. I returned a couple

I went in for a routine cleaning and was fooled into paying for a flouride treatment (originally told a different amount and it cost more than what I was told it would by Dr. Pahwa), told I needed to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed, which had never been the case before and told I had 4 cavities! I practice good oral hygiene, so this didn't seem right.
I didn't book a return appointment because I had a very bad feeling about all of this and the amount of extras pushed on me which were

Unfortunately, I am now going to have 2 fillings redone by another dentist because of the work I had done at Spa Dental was not done properly. All of the professionals I worked with (doctor, receptionist, etc.) were very kind and their offices are beautiful, but it appears the work is not quality (ex. food getting stuck in my teeth b/c the filling I had done in Spa Dental Group is not smooth with my tooth, ongoing bite issues because the fillings were not aligned with my bite properly, etc.). I wanted to like them a lot, but unfortunately cannot recommend them for any dental work based on my experience

The dentist office is nice and the dentist is as well but if you can I would avoid during COVID only because many doctor's offices are cleaning bathrooms and waiting room between patients but they aren't and they are leaving multiple people waiting in the very small waiting room.
The hygienist also do not fully floss your teeth - they told me they are told not to go to gum which was unusual but not a dealbreaker.
I'd probably adjust to 4 starts after Covid but it just didn't feel the safe or clean.

I'm really liking this practice so far, all the dentists and hygienists are very nice and have great bedside manner and customer service. The facilities are modern and clean and they were upfront about pricing with me, which is something I can't say of my previous dentist. Only reason this isn't a 5 star is it seems like some of the staff are newer and at times it shows, but they're very up front about it and apologize if they need to redo something. All in all i think it's worth it to support a growing business and deal with people I like.

So, I see there are lower reviews, and I'll preface this by saying I've only been going to Spa Dental for about eight months. But I've loved it so far and have no intention of switching. I don't dread going to the dentist here, which is saying something!
The whole experience is great each time, no complaints. Scheduling an appointment isn't hard, the waiting room is contemporary and cozy (and has free snacks) and when I show up early they usually can see me early too. I do not recommend anyone visit this practice - the dentist sole goal is profit, not client care. I visited for a routine cleaning and the dentist tried to talk me into a $800 deep cleaning that was unnecessary. I also was very offended in the degrading manner that the dentist spoke to me - it was inappropriate and disrespectful. She constantly spoke about the condition of my teeth, which several prior dentist have indicated are in good shape. Her attempt to con clients into unnecessary services is extremely unethical! No stars! I followed Spa Dental's recommendation for outside therapy with the Endodontist. After completing the outside work, I waited patiently for Spa Dental to contact me for what they were supposed to do next. Unfortunately there was no follow up, so I reached out to them. After explaining in length to the receptionist what my call was about, she begrudgingly responded accordingly. She never asked how did the procedure go, or anything relating to my health, she just stated that her office requires 1/2 the money upfront before they can complete the crown work. Came in early to fill out my forms, was brought back right on time. Everyone in this place is super nice and happy. My dentist was awesome. Super nice, very helpful. Walked away with a good recommendation for an oral surgeon and super clean teeth and a happy attitude. Recommend this to anyone looking for a dentist in dc.
