WOW! GREAT SERVICE! Others have mentioned how honest they ate, but I want to talk about how friendly they are, and how important that can be.
My elderly in-laws' car wouldn't start, even after a replacement battery from AAA just 9 months ago. I found the oil-change reminder postcard from Bob's Auto repair for their 96 Toyota Camry and called to schedule an appointment.
Chris, the woman I talked to, was SO warm, friendly & helpful. She looked up their record, knew of the problem that other elders in our neighborhood had with dead batteries & talked about possible solutions after it was checked

Bob's Auto Is Terrible. I've brought my work vehicle to them for years. This was until, I purchased a major repair. Wait, it gets better!
I pick it up to find there's more damage!
Now my transmission is wrecked.
They got the wrong parts.
They didn't even test drive before they said here pay it's done!
I highly do not recommend Bob's Auto Repair.

I hate to destroy these guys, but they were literally going to charge $4800+ to replace a transmission that didn't need replacing!! I can't imagine how many people have already been duped by these guys.
We were referred to Bobs Auto Repair after going to Andy's Valero located off Stevenson and Fremont Blvd. The car wouldn't shift past 3rd and after running the code, Andy thought it would be a good idea to take it to Bobs. We were not charged a service fee at Andy's.

One of my parents' older vehicle's transmission had got kaput. Based on the recommendation of another (completely unrelated) vendor that I was working with at the time, plus the fact that Bob's was down the street from my home, I thought I would bring the car in here for an estimate.

I've been taking all of my trucks to Bob's for years, service and quality is always there. Steve is the man when it comes to repairs. I've never had any issues with them. They deliver exactly what they promised. One thing for sure is that they'll never offer extra fix too get more money out of you. They'll gladly inspect and tell you the condition of ... more of educate you rather than try and charge you more for something that doesn't necessarily need fixing. We can't afford to have trucks down for two or more days and that's why we can count on Bob

Hello Yelpers! I have used Bob's exclusively for going on 18 years or so. As I often tell Bob, he's the only man that gets to look under my hood. ;) They've fixed every kind of repair, big and small, on two different cars, without any problems. They aren't cheap but the rates are competitive, and the work is done right the first time. I read some of the negative reviews and can tell you that none of that has happened to me. Brought my car couple times there and last time i went there because check engine light and it was the catalic converter i ask how much he said $480 with tax i told hi

We've used Bob's Auto Repair for over 20 years, I believe. Never had a bad job, or feel the prices were higher than the job called for. Friendly staff and very accommodating! Always on time. We've sent many friends and family members, and they've all been pleased. Sometimes it's hard to find great mechanics, and we're so thankful!

I took my ford explorer to these guys for a bad engine idle at start-up in cold temperatures. They told me that the intake manifold was plastic (true) and that it had a crack in it (False). They went on to say that you can't buy a new part anywhere (true, however used parts are available at local Pick-n-Pull car bone-yard). So Bob's Auto Repair charged me $120.00 and all I got was a lie. I went home and did some research on the net at explorerforum.com. The reviews are 100% correct However; look at the dates
Back then was the best in all areas. Fast forward to this week year 2014
Sad to say that the shop has gone downhill and going fast.
Ex brought truck in for diagnose and repair as I always have.
Bill $1000 and the next trip I took it did the same thing and must have been mis diagnosed and was charged for the error? Legally the signed paper receipt covers
Their part and no recourse . So word to wise read what you sign even though you have trusted places in the past. Go seek another place

Excellent auto shop. A team of very experienced, professional and trustworthy mechanics. Heard about this shop from my father in law who has been going here for 25 years. It's just so rare to actual know you will be treated honestly and know they are very knowledgeable at what they do. Not cheap but you know your car will be taken care of.

I came to Bob's because of Yelp. I had my brakes inspected with Midas then I had to get second opinion. Sure enough, both of shops gave me a different evaluation and prices. It's easier to trust Bob's with Yelp's help, I had my car brakes repaired there! Thank you, too Sarah for your review as well...She runs a champ fitness center, Mission Peak Fitness. I enjoyed attending their boot camp!!

Bob, Steve, and the rest of his staff are the most honest, reasonable, kind, and skilled mechanics around. Period. I've been taking my cars to Bob since the 90s, with my very first car, and continue to do so, even though I no longer live in Fremont. Their prices are fair, the work is quality and my car is always done within the original estimated time. I can go on and on, but let me summarize with this-Bob treats his customers and their cars with respect, honesty, and integrity, I will never take my cars anywhere else.

Since 1999 I have taken my cars to Bob's for service and I will not go anywhere else. They are honest, dependable, and friendly, and they are experts at servicing automobiles. A couple of times when I thought something needed to be done, Bob had his mechanic check it out and when they determined everything was fine, he told me so and did not charge me. You can depend on Bob's to do only the work that is needed and do it well.

Bob and his staff are real professionals. They can fix just about anything and are very helpful at explaining the repair options. I have taken a number of vehicles there over my 23 years of association with these guys and they have never let me down. I would much rather buy a used car and let Bob put it in shape than any new car since I know it will be done right

I have been a customer of Bob's for 20 years now, with at least 8 different cars. I won't take my cars anywhere else- Bob might not be cheap, but he is competent, honest and reliable. The mechanics that work there have been there forever and know their stuff. What I really like is Bob never talks down to me because I'm a woman- he explains everything in detail so I can understand my car. He always makes time to answer my car questions when I call and pester him, and I know I am getting sound advice. You can find cheaper mechanics... but your life is riding on it.
