Food was great. It was the German food we were looking for. Presentation could use a little help. However I almost second-guess going into the restaurant. As we were getting out of our car a few employees were coming out to dump the sauerkraut that obviously had turned bad, because they were gagging as they threw it out. We were glad to see they did not have a problem dumping bad food instead of serving it to the customers. We still decided to give it a try because they had good reviews on yelp. I just didn't go for the sauerkraut that day. Lol.

If you wanna try German food Beda's is a great place to go! They offer so many unique sausage and potato dishes as well as other sides that were so delicious but also very filling! Pictured is the potato pancakes with apple sauce dip which was a crispy sweet and savory starter! We also got the currywrust which is a unique fries and curry ketchup with sausages! 2nd pic is the very filling JÄGERSCHNITZEL WHICH COMES WITH A MUSHROOM GRAVY SAUCE WITH EGG NOODLES AND POTATO DUMPLINGS . ALSO GOT A SPARKLING WINE WHICH WAS GOOD!

The reason for the 3 stars wasn't about the food. The food and beer were wonderful as was the service. It's about my blue blazer and scarf that I left there.
I live in Redwood City in the SF bay area. My husband and I were visiting our son, wife and 2 grandchildren. We love German beer gardens and my husband was very impressed with this one.
So I got hot and took my blazer off...not their fault. I don't wear the blazer that much so I didn't miss it until a week after I got home and didn't recall packing it to go home. So I called the restaurant and they said that they

Best place to go for good German food. Get the “flight” and sample all their phenomenal beers, treat yourself to some currywurst and do not skip the sauerkraut. It is not an understatement to say that the meal I had here nourished my soul and the sauerkraut was possibly the best I’ve ever had. Also the staff is phenomenal- super kind and honestly fun to chat with :)

I really wish that these rating systems allowed for you to go from 0 to 10 instead of one to five. Because I would give this place a nine from my experience. But I guess I sadly have to give it an eight. Waitress was super attentive the food was delicious same with the drinks, definitely a fantastic experience

'Authentic' and 'Fresh' are two of the details one is always looking for when dining out. Beda's is both on every level. The food is made fresh daily and you can taste it! Even the fried things (schnitzels) did not taste heavy and were perfectly cooked. We tried as much of the menu as we could which included the pretzel with cheese (yummy), sausage plate (3 which were all very good) with mustards, schnitzel (fried chicken), coleslaw, cucumber salad (yogurty freshness), the special (always get the special) and french fries! Equally as important is their beer menu which features

This is delightful little place. The owner and his staff are personable and friendly. I amazed at how many German foodies in the area don't know it exists. Food is awesome, and where else can you have that German beer on tap. They are community oriented and readily support local teams and causes. Treat yourself, you won't be disappointed.

I will give this place another try but today Saturday I ordered To Go the $23.00 special of stroganoff that came with 2 sides. I picked coleslaw and potato salad. When I got home there were 3 separate containers. The stroganoff was about 1/2 cup... really. I was shocked at the small amount. The two sides were a little more (see photo). For the $23 price I just couldn't believe the small amount of food. So I will have to check it out eating there. The 2 stars for this $23 special was generous. Disappointed in AG.

I've always been a fan of the German experience- comfort food, comfort beer, and comfortable environment. This place does all that, and then some. I haven't been to Germany, but I've been to the mainstays in the Bay Area- Gourmet Haus, Speisekemmar, Gaumenkitzel, and more. This place ranks amongst the best.
The food is exceptional; from the handmade 'meatballs' to the house-made spatzle; the attention to the salad, and the offering of a 'dried beef sausage'. I witnessed the owner lending a hand on a Saturday afternoon, and it was that personal interest in the

Beda's is a must for us whenever we visit the Central Coast. We love the sausages, sauerkraut, red cabbage, mashed potatoes, and pretzel. Portions are generous and everything is super tasty. The service is friendly and quick. We've tried a number of dishes over the years dining here, and Beda's doesn't disappoint!
In Covid, we sat outside, and we were glad that they had a couple tables set up on the sidewalk. I noticed that several tables in the patio area were reserved. So, take note if you want to sit in the patio. People can also sit inside as the tables are spaced.

One of my favorite spots on the California Central Coast. Beda is such a fantastic human and it is always a pleasure to chat with him when I stop by for a beer and brat. Everything is unique and tasty. Pretzel bun? Yes please! Where else can you find several of Germany's finest beers On Tap... few and far between.

Sooo glad we tried this! Never been to a German restaurant, .... definitely love the pork bratwurst, and OMGosh, the bread they have is a pretzel bread soooo delish! I'm not a fan of sauerkraut but THAT was amazing! The garlic spinach was cooked in butter and it was heavenly!
Hubby ordered the Sausage plate (bratwurst, Hungarian and polish) and everything was so tasty, including fries.
We sat outside so we were able to enjoy this amazing meal, thanks to our friendly and helpful staff!

Located in a mini strip mall off Broad Street, this eatery serves authentic regional German fare. They offer a rotating selection of German beers, and selections of wine by the glass & other beverages.
The indoor seating is limited and comfortable, and there is an outdoor covered dining area.
They have a good selection of schnitzels, wurstbrots & salads. There is a variation on a theme with different sauces for the schnitzels to satisfy one's taste preferences, i.e. dark sauce with mushrooms, light brown sauce, curry sauce & others.
The food is filling, the staff is friendly
